Woah! Were they churches that asked you to not sing about Jesus? That's absolutely wild to think that anyone would ask a Christian singer to not sing about Christ! At our church (New Heart MCC/UCC in Tacoma, WA), every week Pastor says "Each of you are welcome to this table regardless of whether or not you are a member here or anywhere because this table is for the people of God and we are people of God. God loves you. God did not make a mistake with you! You are a holy child of God!"
