It was Adam Adamowitz who died. He was a brilliant concept designer at Bethesda and his Skyrim artwork, including the drawing of dragons, is what helped give life to this game. "Sovngarde" and much of Skyrim probably would look like crap without his art.

But he was not the creative director; that's Todd Howard. I don't see the point in making fun of people who create epic games that we praise and enjoy so much. "He's in Sovngarde" and "I hope Todd Howard died". Plain, juvenile hypocrisy.

I suppose the fact that Tiber Septim/Talos was not in Sovngarde means he did in fact ascend to divinity? Then again, many other nord heroes of lore weren't included in the Hall of Valor. But it's funny how Alduin can invade the nords' eternal (time resistant) paradise; Skyrim is complicated in its theology myths.

@ArminVonLiberty Alduin may have been able to invade into Sovngarde simply because he's travelled through time before, and had the knowledge of how to do so, as the Ancient Nords sent him into a time rift using the Elder Scroll, where he was trapped, but eventually he sprouted out of the rift, and into the events of Skyrim, approximately 4,000 years later.

@CATSHITSANDWICH upon further reading, apprently if your soul isn't stuck in a soul gem, isnt sent to Sovngaede, isn't sent to a plane of oblivion after serving a daedric prince, isn't commanded to Sithis if you're murdered and isnt bound to a dead body (becoming a lich) if youre a necromancer....well, if you just die a natural death, you're sent back into Aetherius through the Dreamsleeve and eventually end up reincarnating. kinda like what happened to the Nerevarine.
