@novaction If Cronenberg wasn't a filmmaker, he'd be a mass murderer. He just babbles on and on about incoherent mumbo-jumbo. Just like a psychopath. And his fascination with sex and the human body is quite repulsive. The guy has no taste or talent at all.

@peteagassi I must respectfully disagree with you. Cronenberg explores the crevices of the mind that we ignore but are there. True horror is a very human experience. He is a genius because he is able to distill the psychological horror into his films on relatively low budgets all the while revolutionizing at times the use of make up effects. His movies are effective analysis of the side of humanity people refuse or prefer to ignore. Your entitled to your opinion of course.

as someone who was a child, i agree on the subject of child sexuality. but violence for all, as something it can't be avoided? no.
