Here in the USA in 2003- 89% of all male newborns are circumcised with in 48 hours of birth and the use of any anesthesia was rare. This year we saw that percentage drop to about 25% but is is felt the change is due to insurance no longer covering this completely elective, cosmetic amputation of a newborn males foreskin. I also find blind hate to be stupid.
