I agree marco is awesome. But what I hear him singing makes me thinking he would generally be a tenor, the higher of male voices. So the contradiction of annette's higher voice isn't as prominent, but still a good combo. Tarja was good, and so is annetter, its like comparing apples to oranges.

@pikagod I don't think tenor is quite right, if you've heard an actual tenor they go way higher than that... Marco is more of a baryton, a middle singer. Tenors mainly use their falsetto.

I more meant tenor the way we used it when I sang in choir. my teacher tried her hardest to have us tenors not use falsetto (I sing tenor, used to be a baritone) beacuse it increases your range. In all reality almost any guy can do falsetto, but you're right baritone would describe him better.

Such a great song! Video is kinda sad. I love Nightwish! I usually don't address this issue but both Tarja and Anette are great vocalists, both do the band justice. I like both of them and don't understand why people argue and complain. Tarja is out and Anette is in. There is no changing that. So really people move on! If you don't like Anette don't listen to her and if you don't like Tarja don't listen to her. Easy as that.

Yes I agree they are both good, and I listen to them both. But the reason people argue is simple, Tarja was (is) better. I still listen to Nightwish, but Tarja gave them a unique sound that they don't have now. Now it is simply another rock band.
