  • can you turn you pc on (when it's off or in standby) with the "PC"-button too ?

  • @hardcoreoma i have never tried, but i think so

  • @totallydubbedHD don't you have the keyboard ? if so you could try it once, would be nice

  • @hardcoreoma I shall try, just for you, when i get home ;)

I personally never use that button, and thus have disabled it in setpoint, as I don't want to accidentally turn off the PC etc.

  • @totallydubbedHD that would be awsome :) haha, of course, unintentional pc shutdowns are the most annoying things to happen :D

  • @hardcoreoma ok dude - i tried, and it switches of, but doesn't switch back on - as I expected.

If you want to switch it on via keyboard, any keyboard can do that via the BIOS settings ;)

  • @totallydubbedHD ah thank you much for the answer that helped alot :)

  • Do you fell any latency when you perform gaming on it?

    Even on your logitech mouses?

Cause i am thinkng in switching to wireless! :P

  • Thanks for your review. Have now purchased and very pleased. So simple and user friendly. My sight is not so good as it used to be and i can easily read and use the function keys. First time i have ever used function keys on a keyboard - they are just so intuitive and easy. No learning curve on keyboard either - is fab!

  • @madoldbiddie indeed!

I love it, I have the F keys permanently set, so I can just open emails + browser, msn etc all in a flash!

  • Logitech is a bitch :( I always bought all kinds of stuff from then, and then I buy this keyboard, and they didn't give me a USB Bluetooth adapted :@

  • Great review. Thanks for the effort.

  • nice review. quite informative :) thanks mate.

  • @OuterHell glad you liked it :)

  • i want your soundspeakers! XDD

  • Good review thanks, but I would recommend cutting out the lengthy mental blanks.

  • It worked like a charm for mostly two month. Battery are still good, nothing changed in my computer, keyboard is not even 3 feet away from receiver and since this week I started having major random keyboard lags, from what I read in forums Logitech blames interference, well nothing changed in my apartment or on my computer, thinking about getting another one. Mouse that came with it works flawlessly, which is weird...

  • Am I the only one who think it sounds like he said "your F*ing keyes"

  • Solid. How's the range? How far can you walk and type before it starts skipping key presses?

  • @Andragon90 I haven't really tested it, but it works from 3-4 m fine. I know my logitech mouse would work from downstairs, the pc being upstairs...that was epic lol

  • How is the battery life? It said 3 years, but how true is it?

  • @vhanded well iv'e been using it for over 10months now, no battery replacement or issues :D!

  • @totallydubbed how bout the missing keystroke problem? Is it serious? I am a programmer who use keyboard more than 9 hours a day, so I don't want get frustrated by it.

  • @vhanded what missing keystroke problem?

  • @totallydubbed because wireless device is a noiseful device, there may be some key stroke that press by user, but fail to deliver to the system.

  • @vhanded put it this way I have had no problems what so ever.

  • Is the wave also useful if your are using one hand? e.g. in Starcraft or any FPS game you have one hand on the keyboard and one hand on the mouse, is the wave still an advantage? Cause it seems it is made for making typing with two hands easier

  • @Hewkll my fingers slot into the keys better, but I don't know if that's to do with wave or the keys themselves :)

  • Thanks, it was a very insightful review and it was nice to see the keyboard up close as i've only seen pics until now ;)

It's coming up to a year now since you posted this, how are you getting on with the curved shape of the keys? Do you see it to be a big improvement over the conventional flat keyboard set up? I only ask as i have read the odd review were people said it ended up being uncomfortable because of the height some of the keys.

    Thanks

  • @Jayenwoods Hey there :)

I have to say that the keyboard doesn't feel any different to other keyboards.

Although when I go to a conventional keyboard, I seem to miss keys and am not comfortable with THEIR design.

In other words I've gotten used to this keyboard, and it's only been loving to me :)

I really enjoy using the keyboard, it's soft and easy to use (keys), functional (shortcuts) and nicely spaced out, meaning people with bigger hands (me, men in general) find it better.

  • @totallydubbed Thanks for the quick reply. I have very long and fin fingers, so i guess the extra spacing wouldn't necessarily be an advantage to me, but then again looking at the video it doesn't really look any different than my current old Logitech keyboard. And besides, i play around with the piano quite a bit so i should have more control with my fingers than the average person anyway, so i'm sure i'll adapt ;) I'm sold :) Thanks

  • @Jayenwoods glad I could help mate :)

  • i found this keyboard on one webpage at 59 € and in another one at 19 €!!!!! i waz like WTF?!?!!

  • @jacobonix sweet as :D!

  • you said it's pretty good for gamers, well i think it's definitely for gamers :D

  • @jacobonix well in comparison it's OK, not great. As it doesn't have programmable keys or what not. Personally i would never see the use in that, but hey it's for "gamers"

  • Dude, you didn't write anything. I wanted to hear how loud that keyboard is.

  • @nameczanin see comment for corianderthal.

  • @totallydubbed Anyways, I wanted to hear it. Ok, thank you for your opinion.

  • This is a great review, but I need to know if this keyboard is on the noisy side. I'm looking for quiet, ergonomic quiet/low-profile keyboards just like Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Keyboard without the flat function keys.

  • @corianderthal well, it's like any other keyboard, so if you are really looking for a low-noise keyboard, this wouldn't be it. It's usually the non key ones that are ultra quiet.

    Thanks for the compliment :)

  • @corianderthal if u need a quiet Keyboard check out Illuminated Keyboard or Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800 hope u like it :)

  • thank you very much for this rewiew, it was really helpful!

  • @MadCrokodile1 thank you :)

  • A nice thorough review. We need them a little here on youtube.

I buy the keyboard later today but first: Awsome review! Thumb up.

  • @ExillNetworks thanks a lot!

  • will this fit on my lap and can I use it with my laptop?

I already have the M305 wireless logitech mice. I just want this keyboard so that I can completely go wireless with my LCD TV. Just hook up my laptop with the HDMI and have the wireless mouse and keyboard. I just need to know it its too big to go on my lap because I will not be putting it on a desk. (I'm tired of the heated laptop on my lap)

  • @MESSER8989 i know your anxiety bro!

Well the keyboard as i said, is very big.

Although saying that, i always use it between my legs when i'm eating food and it's great.

To be honest, if you want a better laptop/size keyboard i would go for something smaller.

As after a time it might get annoying...although that could be my opinion, and the fact that i love having it on a desk.

It is bigger than any keyboard i have had, but does the job valiantly!

    Your choice really :P

  • @MESSER8989 Thx bro. Im going to get it. I really want the volume controls on my keyboard. For $50 it seems like a good deal

  • Does it work with a xbox 360 or ps3?

  • @XMeegs dude i doubt any keyboard works with them. So no i don't think so.

  • @XMeegs

yes i use it for chatting on xbox live with messenger or search on ps3

  • @XMeegs well all wired keyboards work with the 360, but wireless may not because it may need additional software

  • hi I want to ask if you do not use the Receiver extender cable , is there any working problem , and if you plug the nano receiver to a usb port at the back of the case is there any working problem with mouse or keyboard of course without extender cable

    thanks

  • @alperen69 well i do use it, so therefore i cannot say.

However with my MX revolution mouse which is over 1 year old, it had some problems picking up my PC which is about 2m away + between wires and what not.

So i plugged it into my Screen.

For the keyboard, i have used the extender, why not...if it's provided :D!

  • Great Keyboard!

  • @Seibertron101 agreed! :)

  • I wish you could click some keys to show us how does it sound, and tell us if it good for games (is it possible to use A W S D + shift/space key combinations for example)

  • @mhsver it is yes. Although it is a bit big for gaming, and there are better keyboards made for gaming out there. This is made for media mainly.

  • @totallydubbed thx for the responce.

Yes I can see it's quite huge ;)

Problem is all the "gaming keyboard" are wired with no real reason (keyboard lag is a myth imo).

another quick question, does it suffers from this: /watch?v=Lvg17owI0OY ?

    thanks again..

  • @mhsver they are wired, because they don't need battery to be replaced. Most gamers, spending a lot of time in front of their pcs will use up a lot of battery life/time. Although saying that i'm on the computer 24/7 and i haven't yet changed the battery yet, neither has the keyboard suffered from any time of lag.

That cracking sound, no it isn't present at all. More so on this keyboard it is very very subtle and soft. So don't worry about that problem.

  • @totallydubbed awesome. ordered one :-)

  • @mhsver congratulations, i hope you enjoy it! :)

  • whats the difference between the logitech k350 and the logitech wave because iwent to a store to check if i liked the feel of thekeyboard and they had the wave on show and where did you get your keyboard from ?

  • @olipitt12 ok well, the wave has less features by the looks of it, but there isn't much in it.

    The biggest difference is:

Range of the keybaords + battery life. Both of these factors are dominated by the k350. Go on the logitech website and see for yourself.

  • sry, wanted to ask you if it is 920-002024 or 920-002012 ?thx

  • @en3rg0n13 what does that MEAN!?....

  • hi mate, i have a question for you? is your Logitech K350, 920-002024 or 920-002024. thx, nice vid.

  • @en3rg0n13 thanks, but might i point out, that those two numbers are the same, and more so, what is that about?

  • Thanks for the review! :D This is the keyboard I have been looking for, since it uses "unifying" just like my performance mx! =) this works with ps3, right?

  • @OnlyXfox ps3? I don't think so...I could be wrong.

  • @OnlyXfox ps3? I don't think so...I could be wrong.

  • @totallydubbed i found out that the mouse worked right now.. so maybe the keyboard does too!

  • @OnlyXfox hmmm interesting! keep me posted!

  • Thanks, from pictures I didn't figure out if that on the right was a button for calculator...

It's a pity that it doesn't have an LCD screen, because I love the built-in calculator of my good old MX5000.

P.S. The "subscribe button" is no longer in that direction! XD

  • @IIARROWS true lol :)

  • @totallydubbed and yes, on/off switch for your pc, that can be turned off. and a calc button.

  • This was a really useful review in terms of explaining the different features, functions, design, shape, etc. However, what you didn't seem to touch upon (if you excuse the pun) is how it rates for normal typing. Does it involve additional learning because of the slightly different, wavy shape? Does it require a different way of hitting the keys? How comfortable is it? It would be good to hear your comments on these aspects, as I am thinking of getting a keyboard. Thanks.

  • @funsurfer101 thanks for the feedback.

There is no need to learn anything different, the difference iv'e noticed is that it's much more spaced out, and for my big hands (dirty mind intended :P), it's great. If however, you have very very small hands, and you find normal keyboards a stretch then this won't be for you. More so, it take a lot of space on your desk.

It's sooo soft and simple to press the keys, so no. More to the point, is't the most comfortable keyboard iv'e ever hit on :p (oi oi!)

  • @totallydubbed Thanks for that; that's really useful to know. I have been using the Logitech S510 combo for the past few years, but the mouse in particular seems to be causing probs when it comes to drag-and-drop (resulting in folders going in all directions in Outlook!). So, I'll need to get a decent mouse as well. I was thinking of the Performance mouse from Logitech, so that it can sync with the transceiver.Any suggestions?

  • @funsurfer101 sent u 2 suggestions via message on youtube.

  • 3 questions 1 is it back lit and 2 what is rough battery life and 3 how many it take ?

  • @olipitt12 1. no ,

    2. many months on 2x AA's

    3. what?

  • @totallydubbed i was asking hw many batteries it took but sfter i posted i looked at ore information and realised that it told me 2 of 3 questions i asked thanks for replying so quick and for a great video review

  • @olipitt12 thanks :)

  • You only said "erm" 102 times! It was that fun I had to count them.

But please don't let that put you off, it was a great vid!

    Thanks.

  • @feralferret erm, thanks...lol

  • Top Man...Really helpful...Thanks!

  • @Syquax thanks man!

  • Thanks for taking the time to go through this keyboard. Your video was a lot more helpful than the Logitech website! I'm now going to buy one. Cheers!

  • thanks my man!

  • Thanks! Great review!

  • Thanks man :)

  • Why do you use the old Windows Media Player?

Personally, I use Winamp Pro (got it from a BitTorrent site), because there is a huge amount of add-ons for it.

  • Cuz i prefer it....

  • oh ok i see now thx. Any way i ordered this keyboard 2day and i am getting it 2morrow. But i decided that i am going to send it back and get a Razer Lycosa insted. I just realized that this keyboard is mainly for typing. When i am going to use it mostly for gaming and my right hand is usualy on WSAD (1-9) buttons all the time. So i dont think that wave design is going to be any good for me.

  • i mean like theres no +/- sound volume on keyboard

    or is there ?

  • yes there is ... i explain it (ish) at 0:45-0:55

  • is it possible to bind volume buttons ? its quite annoying that keyboard dont have that

  • bind volume ? What do you mean?

You can program certain buttons on it using set point..?

  • hi, do you know how this kb performs with games? do you use for gaming?

does it detect multiple keypresses over 4-5 simultaneously?

    thanks

  • No sure.... i don't use it for gaming. But you can press multiple buttons at one go.

More of a multimedia keyboard than a gaming one. Although you can set gaming detection on setpoint.

  • What is the exact size of the keyboard, because I've found conflicting information about this.

  • @blotunga around:

45-48 cm long and 20-25cm wide. Due to the wave design, i have given you the highest and the lowest length and width of the keyboard.

    Hope that helps! :)

  • Ok thanks alot, I'm asking because I'm considering buying a keyboard like this, but I have a Targus TGC216US laptop backpack in which it'll have to fit. The overall length shouldn't exceed 46-47cm. I think if I tilt it it should fit.

  • @blotunga hopefully, but if you want a keyboard on the move, i would really strongly suggest not this one. It is really big for what it is, although perfect for desktop use, for laptop use i really wouldn't suggest it.

If you have that extra buck, i would strongly suggest the DiNovo edge. It is REALLY expensive, but is made to be light and portable. This isn't. It's made to be sturdy and be used on a flat surface.

  • Well, my laptop is almost like a desktop, Gateway Fx series :), I already have an Anywhere MX mouse so I need a unifying receiver keyboard, mostly for work. Unfortunately in my country the K340 isn't yet available and the K350 is also scarce :).. + .. the 340 has a WSAD related bug .. this one hasn't (sometimes i also play games).

  • @blotunga well then my man, i would get it :) as long as you know it is quite bulky and big :D

  • @totallydubbed well i think it'll be ok next to my 5kg laptop and 1.5kg zalman nc2000 cooler :)). My poor laptop bag already has around 8 kg of gadgets and stuff in it so 1 more wouldn't be a problem. I prefer usability and performance of stuff to size :). Thanks alot for the info and I think I'll place the order this evening ..

  • @blotunga no problem :) and congratz on your new purchase!

  • Imma Get One

  • Thx again for the tip, the keyboard is here and I'm already loving it.. and it fits :).
