I love running my windmill. This is still the best way to crash number, die cut, & foil stamp. Thanks for the artistic look of the beauty & engineering behind these wonderful machines!
My favorite machine in the whole world. I was one of the few students who got to run this magnificent machine at my high school almost 35 years ago just as letterpress printing was dying (if it wasn't already dead).
I work with a heidelberg (34x48) like this at my work. we still use it to make boxes, its from 1956, and at that time it was the fastes "digelpresse" in the world. realy its the best.
denmark:
Great film! Thanks for posting! Hey, if you should you ever do another one of these with your Heidelberg, would you mind doing a close up shot of the guide system? I've been having trouble getting mine to work correctly...
i used one of those untill 5 years ago (it was a 1960 model) i never changed anything it was good as new, i it ran better than any other press we had or have (except our heidelberg ksba)

The counter only works if you have it on impression. : ) I run one of these from time to time.

Nope, it was not stuck. When it's running but not making impressions, it clicks like that...almost turning over, but not quite.
