David Lee Roth had the charisma and attitude, and Sammy Hagar had the voice and nothing else. i'm glad DLR is back and i hope that they record all the old demos from the early days that never made it on the first 6 albums!!!!!!!!

DLR is the origional voice of Van Halen. Even though there was always fighting in the band and DLR seemed to like the faggy glam rocker image there was no other combo better that DLR up front. Sammy Hagar made better music before he joined Van Halen.

It's something that everyone in Van Halen must know in their hearts. i.e. "without DLR it just isn't Van Halen." They probably hate it, but it's true.

eyepatchinc, that is 100% true. the thing is that when van halen was fronted by hagar they made shitty, wussy music. too corny, too much synthesiser, it just sucked. dave is also an UNBELIEVABLE front man - he really puts on a show. ever since the 1990s up until this recent van halen reunion he really wasnt trying his hardest but i saw them a month ago and HOLY SHIT he and the band were at their best.

Dave brings out the ballsy music from Eddie and that is why their classic music kicks ass! Sammy should have worn a skirt and got a sex change with the kind of pussy music he always brought to the band! They made the most money with this reunion tour because more people love to have the real frontman back in the band!Any time I heard Sammy sing classic Van Halen tunes,they sounded like shit!!
