  • i have a lend of one of these take the seats out and you have pure luxury.

  • you could of filmed the whole takeoff. i wanted to actually see the planes go in the air.

  • DC10 stands for Death contraption 10

  • These are just planes running down a runway. I don't see them "TAKING OFF"

  • noooooooooooooooooooooosa grandinho ein !!!

  • my students are making a documentary on water sustainability and would like to use some of this footage (with credit)...is that possible

  • the dc10 sounds beautiful!!!

  • @vikingpowr

yo wtf are u even talking about? everytime u reply with all this random shit. like just sdfu.. comprehension problem? third-world puke? Wtf are u even saying. ur fucked in the brain. jus stop talking u waste kid.

  • @vikingpowr

you fked up pantiboi wtf u even talking about? wtf does this have to do with IQ or what the fuck does this have to do with being a fool? Your fucking retarded you faggot get checked. All i said was there was no takeoff so i didn't enjoy the video as much, the rest of it was gud. How the fuck does tht make me a fool or a jackass? ur fucked up.

  • where can u say it is dc-10 and not md - 11.

    whats the difference ? :D

  • Still one of my favorite "takeoff" sets.

Co-workers have heard it so many times the usual comment is "Are you watching that video again...."

Consider it a compliment, great engine sounds.

  • The vid is trash as not a single take off is seen. For all we know they could be heading down to the opposite end of the airport to a fucking car park. I don't give a fuck as to the reason why you didn't show the take offs.....if there's a fence in the way, go and stand somewhere else....if there's nowhere else to stand, go to another fucking airport. Whatever you do, stop dishing up trash vids.

One more thing....if you're at maximum zoom....BUY ANOTHER FUCKING CAMERA!!!

  • This is "take off" my friend...it is just rolling on the ground. sucks.

  • You fat lier i fly in fsx and a Boeing 747-400 doesn't make that noise, you just made it like that in the video!!!

  • @SuperAbbid you're fucking retarded lol

  • You fat lier i fly in fsx and a Boeing 747-400 doesn't make that noise, you just made it like that in the video!!!!

  • that dam 777 finished me off!!!

  • Boeing 777 had the best engine sound :D

I love KLM because they have one of the best liveries :D

  • muito bom o video, belas aeronaves...

  • I loooooovvvvvveeee this video!!!

  • Extreme 747 takeoff in HISTORY!

    watch?v=sQCZYKcN1k4

  • thoses 777 are so hush hush at take off

  • The title should be changed from takeoff to roll. This video showed no takeoffs.

  • And if he did show the take-off rotation, y'all would be complaining about the fence that would be in the way. AWW.

  • Dumbass show the rotation and taked off.

  • @pinewood8091 Dumbass, you didn't give him an assignment to make this video, so what you see is what you get. And dumbass, he already explained why the rotation and lift-off wasn't shown. So dumbass, if you don't like it, get the fuck out of here, and don't complain to the one who posts good quality footage.

  • EARGASM 0:58

  • 2:15 Best sound ever !!

  • must have a lotta time on your hands, but VERRY cool

  • FUCKING CRAP!!!!

  • Respond to this video... daaammmnnn that 747 is just has sexy sound

  • what a nice video!!!!!

  • love that noise as the engines spool up, the VC10 was brilliant loved to watch that take off....so long ago now

  • hey very nice clear video footage, but not one take off seen. bit dissapointing sorry.

  • Fuck AirFrance! I hate this airline. Wish KLM never started to co-operate with them. AirFrance is giving the KLM a negative reputation!

  • thats an md 11 not an dc 10

  • next time let the mf's to lift of at least a little before moving on to the next plane!

  • nice video

  • From which year is this video?

  • I will be there next Friday :-)

  • love schiphol spotting

    greets amsterdam

  • 747 is the most beautiful plane ever to fly. Thank you, America.

  • Its a shame that Northwest doesn't use the DC-10's with the red and grey livery anymore......I miss that specific plane and paint job =(

  • cool video; I love to fly on the rare chance I get to go... its always an adventure. Always amazes me that these engines squirt hot gas & get such speed to take off let alone "fly" @ altitude (an adventure in itself). Forget the haters, its a great vid. Only thing I can think to add is that it would have been a pleasure to fly the old prop planes; I bet that was a great experience:)

  • good !

  • Do we actually get to see them "taking off"? lol.

  • Good clarity - wish you had shown them lifting off!

  • Why did you skip the takeoff???

  • All GE powered planes!

  • Aaah that sound...

  • Man! All these newer generation engines from the 777 to 787, sound like elephants as they spin up to 100% !

  • Continental now has B777-200LR

  • at leats let us see the plane leave the ground

  • 2:05 beautiful machine

  • Had no idea that Continental had 777s. O.o

  • Peter Max livery on the Continental 777 lol

  • 747 rules 4ever

  • niet te geloven!! prachtig gewoon!!

  • EXCITING!! NICE TAKE OFF!!

  • I love boeing 747's Dc-10's and Boeing 777's. Keep up the good work

  • I'm pilot KLM

  • @robertomedico28 u really work fr klm

  • @robertomedico28 do they fly?

  • @robertomedico28

    you aint shit

  • I love KLM and British Airways and Lufthansa.

  • it is very imporatant to limit how often you fly just a pilots do. the limits they obey are very much for health reasons. The uv exposure up there will really do you in over time if you over do it

  • yes but u coulda zoom in and show the takeoff.. like honestly lol even u can tell this looks incomplete

  • since your so much of an expert on filming airplanes then why dont you upload some videos?

  • In practically each shot, I am using full optical zoom. Soon after the plane starts rolling, I start zooming in gently. Btw: I take the fact that you didn't notice it as a big compliment.

For example, in the NW DC10-shot, I'm at full zoom at 32 seconds.

The end of each shot in the movie is about 2 frames away from where the fence would become visible but I specifically chose not to show that fence because I find it totally annoying.

  • wow wth?

how do u possible not show the takeoff

whats the point of this video if there is no takeoff? thts the whole point of Jets , they "fly"

    this was completely useless..

  • Video taken at the very beginning of the runway. At that point, you can hear the engines spool up.

As the plane starts rolling, it becomes smaller and smaller and when it actually leaves the ground, it's more than a mile away. It's view is blocked by gates/fences. If you choose to see footage from a small, hazy dot, leaving the ground while a fence it's blocking it's view: look elsewhere. That's not my idea of a good video.

  • Well, I never once saw not take off.

You know what the ending off?

have to mean that the plane be given

    from the ground.

Elsewhere I saw no such thing.

  • Silly kids, drugs are for adults!

  • hahaha ok, but I still do not see in this video take off .

    hahahaha

  • I love the 777 engine sound

  • This video didnt show one takeoff only "full throtle" lol stupid.

  • 777 wow...totally amazing sound...love it...

  • it would have been nice if we would have gotten to see them lift off into the air. how COULD you leave that out??? what a waste of my time!

  • Hello!Nice take off 3 jumbo flight!=)

    Love it!=)

Give you 5 star for this nice film!=)

    Greeting TheCARRE74=)

  • answer to all is

its free :) its included in the flight xD

  • Just that?

What sbout the colour, organisation and favour of the in-flight?

  • LOL the DC-10 kinda sounded like a learjet

  • Which runway is this being used? Is it still possible to get that close to video & photograph ?

  • polderbaan(ams/nl)

  • Was that an Asiana 744 taxying behind while KLM 744 was rolling ??? Nice video !!

  • Omg that northwest sound is sick! So amazing.

  • would be nice if wecould actually see thaairplanes rotate .... ??

  • I thought that MD-11, and 10 was out of use. Well is they?

  • No, MD-11 is still used!

  • both are used majorly by fedex

  • Great video and EXCELLENT sound quality of the engines! But it would have been nice to see the planes actually become airborne...

  • Hey! Cool Video Mate!

    Give us more!

    Cheers!

  • OMG that DC-10 sloww

  • 777-300 and 747-8 are my favorite airplanes :)

  • 747-8 is not yet out.

  • Yeah I know. Still my favorite.

  • prolly will never come out, boeing is considering canceling it altogether bc of low sales...pity...

  • Polderbaan, vette plek!!!! Andere kant is wel beter, daar gaan ze de lucht in en landen ze ook. Waar je nu staat maken ze alleen maar vaart.

  • they put them at 50% and let the engines stabalize before puting them at max throttle

  • its usually 70% isnt it?

  • around 50% N1...

  • Can anybody tell me why they always rev it up half way before giving full throttle??

  • The DC-10 seemed to have such a slow acceleration down the runway, compared to the 747 or the 777

  • no take off???

  • BOENING 747 SO PRETTY!

  • queen of the skies, baby!!!

  • Live 13 miles from EWR love seeing those CO 777's on finals

  • umm takeoff? where? at least let them get airborne

  • beautiful, powerful stuff and the guys who fly them loveeeeeeeeee it love it

  • nice video ! *****

  • what's with the short edit, let'em rotate at least, please!

  • 777...what a sound....beautiful...need em to take off tho..fella......

  • Nippon.....Japanese?

    KLM......Dutch?

  • Im sort of curious how did u come up with ur screenname lol' its similar to mine, is it your real name buddy?

  • the thing on the Dc-10's tail .. is it a engine or what

  • yes, the dc-10 and md-11 has 3 engines

  • oic,thanks haha

  • The Boeing 727 also has three engines.

  • this is not a boeing 747

  • which one isnt a boeing 747 ?

  • well... seein y plane running for takeoff is exciting... but seein seein a plane only runnin for takeoff is boring... what about the takeoff itself?

  • Great video footage....BUT....I would have liked to see the planes actually leaving the ground, that is the most beautiful part of the takeoff!

But thanks for the video. It is great!

  • o nvd the second one is :)

  • this is sooo not a 747

  • For the poster, who commented on the Boeing 777 sounding different. I'll add, to what the other posters stated, the 777 uses different engines. HOWEVER....That was a VERY quiet 777 considering the amount of noise, there engines usually make upon take-off. I've been on many airplanes, throughout my travels. But i have to say, that Airbuses win in terms of "sound factor". Then again, the loudest i've heard, was a Antonov An-225. When you hear that sucker "spool-up", you know something big is comin

  • The Continental used GE90 by the way.

    KLM GE as well

    ANA and NWA both PR

  • in this vid nwa and nca used pratt and whittney, klm and continental use ge

  • All of the planes used GE engines.

The NWA DC10 and NCA 747 used CF6

The KLM 747 used later model CF6 engines

    The COA 777 used GE90s

  • thanks

  • Anyone know why the engines of the 777 sounds so different from the other airliners?

Oh, and thanks for showing a DC-10, my favourite airliner. :)

  • Because the 777 has R & R engines, the DC-10 and 747 had

    P & R. The KLM had GE i think.

  • That's correct, the KLM uses GE CF6-80C2 engines on it's 747's. KLM's 777's use GE90 and GE94 engines.

  • heart heart 9

  • Very nice. Thanks for posting

  • great vid

  • Whats the use if your not gonna show them taking off!

  • Super nice video....especially the variety of a/c. I wish the development of the

MD-11s had continued into next generation technology :) Of course the 74s and the 77s continue. Thanks:) Jen

  • Annoying not to see them rotating.

  • was my porn carried on that plane? lol.

  • mooi

  • On Northwest the checked luggage policy for domestic is: each ticketed passenger is allowed one piece of checked luggage(coach) and on international flights on Northwest the policy is: each ticketed passenger is allowed two pieces of checked luggage(coach. I'm flying to St paul mineapolis(domestic) and then I'm flying to Amsterdam(international) and then Gothenburg, Sweden(international) on NWA/KLM, so I was wondering if I'm able to check 2 bags even though the first part of my trip is domestic?

  • Normally, if you're flying international, the rules for the domestic leg(s) seem to be overruled by those for the international leg(s). I would therefore suppose you will be able to check 2 bags. However, this is just my guess and my advise is to definitely check with the people of Northwest.

With the sky-rocketing fuel-prices, airlines nowadays have much stricter baggage policies (even the North-American legacy carriers who used to be very generous with respect to their baggage allowences)!

  • Is a DC10 a 'heavy' like a 747 or a 777?

  • it is quite heavy but not so heavy like a 747or a 777

  • I'm not 100% sure but as far as I know, the term "heavy" primarily refers to load factors and not so much to the size of the aircraft.

I think that if A F/O who announces himself as "This is KL324 heavy", he is trying to point out to air traffic control that his aircraft is fully loaded so ATC can take this into account.

  • In its most simple term the word "Heavy" means that the aircraft in question weighs in excess of 300,000 lbs. Even if the aircraft is lighter than this weight (fuel/passenger load) the term "Heavy" still applies. The one exception is the Boeing 757, which weighs less than 300,000 lbs, has been found to produce significant wake turbulance and thus requires the same seperation as a "Heavy" aircraft. "Heavy" is used by ATC and other aircraft to increase seperation.

  • nice, save the best for last, love em 777's

  • Is that Nippon airways cargo a B747-200?

  • looks like it, kinda short

  • Yeah. Notice the ends of the wings don't have winglets like the -400's do. This is moset definetly a -200.

  • i love the sound of the engines

  • that GE-90, damn!

  • I love MD-11.. such an amazing airplane.

  • its a Dc 10

  • Thank you for your answer my friend. One question: What's the difference between DC 10 and MD-11 ? I ask you this, cause both airplanes are very similar and i wanna know the difference between them.

    Regards and thank you.

  • well there are no wingtips on a dc10 but it is on a md 11

  • Thank you my friend.

  • no its not just the wing tips it is 20 feet longer

  • and the cockpit

  • Nice vid. Great engines!!!

  • The real big 'uns!

  • Wonderful video congratulations!!!

  • lovely sounds man. excellent!

  • Amazing grace of these planes. 'lovet it

  • i've never been on a double decker p,ane but i would absolutely hate sitting in the way front on the bottom row cause ur further up then the pilots...

  • hehe nice airport all large planes.

  • excellent video jeroenalberda , have a look @ 1 of my videos its under, DONCASTER AIRPORT (UK) OASIS HONG KONG B747-400 .

    smarts @ DSA.

  • I believe ATA recently bought 7 of Northwest's retired DC-10's for their military charter flights. They'll fly 5, and keep 2 for spare parts. Just saw one parked at LAX yesterday with sort of a 50/50 paint job. Glad they're still going.

  • you are right. ATA did recently (in the past year) purchase several DC-10's from NWA to replace their aging L-1011's. The terms of ATA's military contracts state that they must use widebody aircraft with minimum of 3 engines, and since 747, A340, and A380 are too expensive for the airline their only choice was to use DC-10's

  • are DC-10's still in service???

  • no, retired early this year

  • Does anyone know why they put them out of service?

  • the 10's are too old. replaced by md-11's

  • actually most airlines replaced them with a330's, 767's, or 777's

  • NWA replaced them with 332's (A330-200)

  • thehebrewhoya, DC-10`s are still in service take a look @ this this one its under,,

DONCASTER AIRPORT (UK) AVIENT DC-10 Z-ALT LANDING @ DSA

    smarts @ DSA.

  • There's not many in service as passenger planes, most have been relegated to being 'cargo dogs' aka hauling cargo. FedEx uses the DC-10/MD-11 for that purpose, same for UPS.
