Yes. The silkscreen should be faced down. Directly touching the cloth. If you can find a material that would push the paint deeper into the cloth, that would be better. You can use an old credit card, a strong cardboard or a knife to spread the paint evenly and press it towards the cloth. =)

when the glue dries, it will serve as the pattern. without the dried glue, you will have no pattern. no shape.
