I've beaten this before too. I got a TTFAF vid but U sure owned me in the begginning and the ending. You also got more star power then me, and even though i used more, you still got a better score LOL. But I learned how to tap the blackest waves and Dreams of Freedom parts but in my vid I used 1hand and strummed. Check out my vids too. My fave 1 that I made is the Number of the Beast :)

Well, techically, you're supposed to "tap" the notes, which is a guitar technique using your right hand, but I can't do that. But I can do it on real guitar, go figure, lol. What I do is just keep my strumming hand very steady with the 16th notes and concentrate on its coordination with my left hand. Careful not to let your right wrist gradually get slower, which is what has happened to me whenever I fail the intro. Push forth and don't let up!! Good luck =)

Thanks! Glad you liked it =D Yeah... it takes a little bit of work, but nothing too crazy to be able to play on expert. I started on medium and played like an hour every other day and was able to knock out expert songs within like 3 months. It definitely gets more fun as the difficulty goes up.

Thanks! Yeah, ironically, I also find that the beginning is one of the harder parts of the tune because it's so repetitive, and one slip up can throw you off of the pattern very quickly. But if you practice it on slow or slower a bunch you'll get it in no time! =]

Im somewhat of a noob at this game. 32 out of 42 songs on hard and I can do the first few on expert. My biggest problem is strumming notes packed together, like the greens at 2:38. How do you do that?

Yeah, like iPitz said, you pretty much just have to strum like hell. Make sure you are really in tempo with the song, and lining up the beginning of every 4 sixteenth notes with the downbeats. Be very loose with your hand/wrist too - I found that to help a lot during the tremolo parts. =D

Thanks! =) Well, what really good players do is they tap the intro (basically, you strum the very first red note, and use hammer-ons and pull-offs for the rest of the intro). To do this, you must tap the notes with your right hand after you strum the very first note (always keep your index finger on green).

If you do it my way, it takes a lot of practice in regards to coordinating your right hand strumming and your left hand pressing, but you'll get it eventually. It's all a pattern, so just practice the pattern on slow speed til you memorize it. =D

omg. You used one hand, didn't you? o.o That's like one of the hardest things to do for the intro. Most people tap and use two hands. It's the easiest way to full combo it. I bet that score of yours could go up a significant amount if you tried it ;)

Thanks! I actually didn't start playing Guitar Hero until June 2007. I'd say that I'm a pretty good regular guitar player, so that's helped with hand-eye coordination, but it took me a couple of weeks of getting used to this song to beat it (maybe like 1-2 hours of playing every other day). I'd recommend downloading the song and listening to it over and over again so that you get used to how it should sound. And it does not come down to memorization at all - I don't memorize anything in GH =D

And the main thing I had to work on was nailing the fast solo section and making sure that I conserved my energy so that my hand wasn't too tired by that point. Be as light and as delicate with your hands as you can in the beginning =)

Heh - you need to beat Lou (the final boss of the game) in order to get this song. When the credits are rolling, it plays this song for the first time, and you get to play through it as the credits are going. There are no meters or anything when you play it for the first time, so you can make as many mistakes as you want. After the credits are completed, you'll have the song listed in the extra songs section. =D
