  • @UsaCanForces

Thats why the SAS, SBS and Pathfinders use it.

  • No one does any research? Colt owns diemaco, I've known this for a while now but people still argue over the C VS. 16 rifles. im sorry to hurt some feeling but the two are the same all expect for 3 differences. 1. the stocks look slightly different, does absolutly nothing for reliability 2.the carry handle sight looks slight different again does nothing for reliability and 3. the c7/8 has a cold hammer forged barrel( increases barrel life) but sadly again does absolutly nothing for reliability

  • @biggboysouth shooting wise theC7is a bit more accurate due to the different rate of twist and the barrel is heavier for less movement when shooting on full autoAlso the higher quality materials and process when making theC7make it more durable and less reactive with different enviromentsTheCFs also use a different ammo type than us(still a 5.56)it's cleaner but with the same muzzle velocity and less likely to jam making it more reliable(but once again that is from the bullet).

  • @UsaCanForces The M16A2 has a thick barrel profile. There's no evidence the C7 is anymore reliable then the M16A2.

  • i want the c79 optics.. cant find em in the states.

  • @oStirFryo its a standard Elcan optic...

  • Good ol' wikipedia?

  • just waitin on the c7a3 now that should be nice

  • c7 rifles suck fucking suck its shit

  • @HALOTHEMOVIE117 ever use one?

  • @RecklessRampage7 i have it's awsome

  • Its the same as the m16, just built for the canadian climat. Cold :p

  • @QuickScopez100 Actually, there are some modifications made.

  • i want that picture at 2:00

  • elcan sight ftw

  • the marine corps dont use this gun by the way

  • is it as prone to jamming as an m16?

  • @taylor189 Don' t know if it jams any less but it does jam.

  • BETTER THAN A M16

  • the two dumb ass' singing in the song, more just talking over top of excessive kick drum, can't even keep with the rythem

  • Serenity in fire!!!

  • I miss mine

  • WTFBBQ music?!?!?!?!

    great vid anyways

btw the UK special forces actually selected the C8 SFW not any C7 variant

  • 1:45 ... Tap, Rack, and go!

  • @1TheMadBiker1 1:40 to be exact

  • up here is one of the best places in the world go canada! im canadian eh!

  • im in the british army and canadians were useing our supply base in afghan so we had a go of eachothers weapons on fireing range and the C7 is an awsum bit of kit id have it by choice over the m16 any day

  • i cant say anything bad about the c7a2. my buddies came back and said the c7 has saved there lives many times. and plus iots canadian so backoff

  • @criticalgermans brush up on your history bud, ask someone else in the CF and they can agree with my end. but beleive what you want, Canadians are unoriginal, we've never invented anything that changed the world right? please...it's Canada, those rednecks drink too much of their strong beer and eat too much backbacon....

  • @CF4LIf3 Canada has created a lot of things that have changed the world. If you know anyone with diabetes who needs insulin. Thank Canada.

  • fail ..!

  • and its full auto :D

  • Really?? For one the C8 shoots 200-300feet shorter then the C7. Another the C7's staple is it is a cold weather specialist weapon which is more reliable then the M16. They are both made by the same company but if you fire both in all types of weather you will find the C7 does perform better then the M16. You won't be in bad shape with either weapon but if you were to grade them both out of 10 the C7 would get an 8 and the M16 a 7.

  • @CriticalGermans we don't need to. we take a good design and make the original a paper weight. we just let everyone else do the hard work, seeing as our country wasnt completely built on killing. nice try though.

  • @CF4LIf3 canada has also never improved on a weapon design in its entire history. the C7/C8 are direct copies of modern Colt M4/M16 rifles, also i would hardly call the M4/M16 paperweights, as it is used currently in 37 countries.

  • @CriticalGermans Sparrow surface to air missiles sold to Canada in the 60's were much improved by our nation, and all air craft we bought from America were all improved by our nation. The C7/C8 rifles are in fact much improved versions of the M-16a2, and out perform newer M-16a3's and 4's. So to say that the C7 and C8 are 'direct copies' is a load of crap. The first trans continental radio signal was done in Newfoundland, the fist powered aircraft is a Canadian invention as well as insulin.

  • canada has never made an original, good firearm in the entire country's history

  • @CriticalGermans who cares...all guns are based off another gun with improvements..

  • @Rey123Duncan true that

  • @CriticalGermans C7ct the marksman variant is unique as there is no M16 variant of its kind, is a very good rifle, and the new C14 timberwolf medium range sniper weapon is a Canadian rifle that is also superb in performance. Also the Ross M-10 though poor as a battle rifle was coveted by Canadian snipers in ww1, and competitive shooters and hunters world wide in its day.

  • @CriticalGermans what about the c14

  • @TheGuyWithAWeirdName if canada ever adopt a 6.8mm SPC round for an AR-15 type rifle it should be called the C21

  • @maxrocks19 I wouldn't worry about it . We didn't get this till the late 80's when the M16 was designed in the 60's so I doubt DND will got to a new rifle platform any time soon.

  • A US Marine met a Canadian soldier, and thought he was a Special Forces member :D

  • the sight on it sucks balls

  • The Diemaco is better than the M16, they are both wearing come from Colt. but the Colt is Diemaco cannada, and the colt of M16 (USA) colt but (USA) has Diemaco only later taken over and now it's become so Colt Cannada. But the technique is the same as they course over the years have worked together! But Diemavo has a better course than the M16!

  • does any one know how the sight is? like what kind of ridicule is it

  • @bob119911 Elcan C79 is the name. At least the CF designation.

  • i found that the C7 loaded weights aroud 8 Ib, abd i was shocked cuz i thought it was around 20 Ib...

is 8 Ib light or an average weight for a rifle?

  • @bob119911 for an assault rifle yes, its on the light side, but of course now with the scar, acr, arx, it is outdone by its age

  • SO CANADIAN

  • Canadian Forces are cool

  • @PcGamerPaul --- yeah... because of the weather

  • @Tito73Moraga Haha

  • Can't wait till we get the Scars in a few years and they use 7.62 mm

  • @AmericanPatriot1111 more likely we will get the Scar L 5.56 variant instead of Scar H 7.62.

  • i like the fact you put a canadian band on a video about canadain weapons

  • the M16A!-A4's jam like a bitch in water and dust

  • copied from wikipedia!

  • What a shit song.........

  • @m16a2m4 Good song actually ;) ha

  • HELP

mate do you were i can get the airsoft version plzs

  • hey guys, just letting you all know, diemaco is a subsidiary of colt. so there really is no true difference between that and their m4 counterparts. to those bashing on the m16/m4 in terms of jamming, sure they jammed a lot, back in vietnam, it has since then become reliable.

  • Comment removed

  • @bigreddawg91 yes there is the C7s barrel is a chrome coated cold hammer forge barrel which degrades much slower then the m16s they have lying around mabye its the same as the new ones but most of americas weapons are just reused and refurbish old ones which makes for an unreliable weapon just so you know

  • @leathery22 few of my friends in the services will beg to differ on that "unreliable" part. I'm sure some of the ones used in BCT are some of the refurbished rifles, however you better believe that the ones that are given to the front line troops are top shape. My old geology teacher who used to be a SEAL in the early 90's loves the rifle, and had not had a single issue with it, and Seals tend to fire a lot of rounds. the m16a2 was only adopted in the mid 80's and you won't so anything older

  • @leathery22 and the m16 used by the marines and the army is currently the m16a4. the internal mechanism are indeed the same, but the materials used are different. for example. The fact that you think most of the weapons are just reused and refurbished for our troops is preposterous, also, you know who makes the M-16? a company called Colt, you know who makes the C7? Diemaco, which is also called Colt Canada, its a branch of the same company, they use the same way to make their firearms.

  • fuk dat gun, who cares if u fukrz perfected it. we had before u did fagets AND yu idiots cant come up with a diffrent desighn but you can copy?

    Fuk Canada U.S FTW.

  • @savingprivateJavi one thing you should work on copying is other people's spelling

  • @coonbeater k ill work on it with your mother, tell her ill be there at six k?

  • @savingprivateJavi I'm mostly curious to how old you are. So, how old?

  • @moepippy mm old enough to do your mama (:

  • We sing Oh Canada, Terrorists scream Oh Shit.

    Woot Canadian Armed Forces

  • hey, ik from the netherlands LOL

  • My Father Uses this gun in the Military. He Loves it. Canadian Weapons FTW. Also the US usually use guns that arent made in the US

  • @Biking14 They are ussually made in China :P

  • @Biking14 Lets see M4's are made by Colt or other versions are made by companies like bushmaster. Fabrique national makes the SAW and M240 in their American plants, Remington 700, Colt 1911's still used by some units in the US Military made in the US. So what "guns" do they use that aren't made in the US? What matters is that the weapon works and is dependable. A lot of Canadian kit is simple made after they purchase the license for it and not invented by Canadians so whats the big deal?

  • I love Canada.

  • @ElSanti0 Made by Colt a U.S company !!! You fuckin canadians need to stop claiming our shit!!!

  • @roe22silva Not true, Colt purchased Diemaco a Canadian arms manufacturer and made it into Colt Canada in 05. The Rifle called C7 was made in 1984, way before Colt bought Diemaco and made it into Colt Canada. The C7 is Canadian made. Peace.

  • @ElSanti0 Dude, diemaco copied the m-16 an ( America weapon) stop claiming our shit!!!

  • @roe22silva Your not making any sense. It isn't your shit. It's Canadian made. How is it your shit? Im not even Canadian. Where do you think the M16 design came from?

  • @ElSanti0 Just because its made by canada doesn't mean it belongs to canada . u fuckers make Ford cars there it does'nt mean Ford belongs to canada!! Oh m-16 design by (Stoner) an American..

  • @roe22silva Your not making sense man. What ever though. Keep thinking your shit and I will keep thinking my shit.

  • @roe22silva Wow....The C7 is a Canadian made version of the M16. Colt is a american company, but Colt Canada took the M16 design and made this. Watch the video, do some research. And why do you guys even care? It's like Americans hate Canadians for no reason, so stop being ignorant. It's just a gun.

  • @roe22silva

Your army uses the M249 and M240 (Belgian made weapons) and your army also used the M1 Garand (built by a Canadian John Garand) in WW2 and you`ve been claiming them as your own for a long time.

The C7/C8 series are made by Canadian hands and Colt Canada (Canadian company). The desighn is american, the gun is Canadian :/

  • @roe22silva

lol...we took your shitty American M16 that was prone to alot of jamming

(even in semi-auto) and prefected it

why do you think U.S Forces in ASTAN call apoun Canadian Forces for backup in a firefight over most other Coalition Forces in the area?? cuz even your mighty Marines know that our version of thier rifles are full auto and pack a hell of alot more of a punch in rate of fire.

  • @Nate619 It's not better. Give me evidence that it's better. It's nothing more then a Canadian copy.

  • @Nate619 that was an issue the m16 had in vietnam. and besides diemaco is a subsidiary of colt. isn't called diemaco/colt canada? lol

  • @Nate619 C7 jams as well. When i was in the Reserves we would only load 28 or 29 rounds vs. 30 to try and eliminate some stoppages.

  • Dutch army also use the C7

  • Proud to be Canadian

  • @Nate619 Do you know that this gun is made by a U.S company (Colt ) r u still proud " A"

  • ya the C7 is nice and good but i personally love my lil C9 LMG

  • I never had a catestrophic failure with my C7 when i served, and very few jams. I loved my rifle. I trained in dundurn with sand everywhere and it performed beautifully. Hell, even SWAT teams in the US use the C-8 carbine as opposed to the M4 :)

  • And you can shoot full auto with this one, i prefer the last versions the A2

  • Canadians are brave ppl who will always be there to help! big up for that country

  • @Barustaboy1989

    its Canada, not canida

  • isnt this just the American made rifle but with a scope on it? I mean, how is it any different then the m16? I dont under stand... *tear*

  • @Baristaboy1989 Really this rifle is NOT the American version with a scope, but instead looks like the famous M16 but is created with different parts to excel where the M16 didnt. and Yes this is an Canadian made weapon which is used in many countrys around the world. =)

  • thank you sir! I seriously didnt understand the whole situation with this rifle. do you know how exactly this rifle is different? dont get me wrong! I love my brother country Canida! I think Canida is the most humble and one of the toughest military places in the world. I am fairly familary with the colt ar-15 tyrpe rifles and Im wondering how this is different. Why is there a scope on it? Its v ery very simalar to our m4 and m16 rifle. I love America and Canida! we are string together!

  • It's not really a "scope" but a low powered optical sight, like those found on many modern military rifles. Among the differences are cold weather adaptations such as a trigger guard that allows for winter gloves.

  • Uhh.. it's Canada? not Canida... lol

  • @Baristaboy1989 Well think of it like this.... Diemaco made a "Canadian" version of your M16/M4, and use different parts like the bolt is a bit different then the American M16 and has a few different parts to help with Canada's Arctic. (Like so the gun wont freeze in our cold arctic. Honestly I prefer the C7 over the M16 for its improved accuracy and the fact its Canadian =(). Another difference I can recall is that the M16 only had 3-burst/single burst fire modes and C7 has auto,3burst, single

  • @Furyzglory I think a full auto weapon is awesome. How different is the accuracy from the two weapons? They look like they use the same sized round, Maybe the colder weather lets the bullet go faster?

  • @Furyzglory, it might be only marginally better then a M16, as it's nothing but a copy with a few changes.

  • seriously a whole convo about a c-7 and m16.... wow

  • @esh325 Yes, its but with better quality stuff and u can shoot auto with it, and with the ELCAN scope, with a trilux sigth and and scale inside to get the real distance up too 600m, I personaly use it... and u can have a grouping of one inch and less at 100m. And one of the selction quality of CND Army, its to have a weapons able to shoot on hardcore sub Zero weather.... like Artic condition

  • @hugoparadis1974. there are tons of optic choices for the M16 also.

  • @hugoparadis1974 At a range of 100m i had no scope and it was not even sighted in and still had a grouping of about the size of my fist, most amazing rifle by far.

  • @esh325 lol the only thing thats left on the diemaco that is on the m4 is the looks and the bullet size everything else is mainly completly different

  • canadian music, canadian rifle :o

  • Great weapon, Im proud to be Canadian

  • @cancommando

    and we got poutine :D

  • C7's aren't fun to clean.

  • @tortue88 nope. lol takes a week to fully get the carbon off of them.

  • @tortue88

yeah the cleaning is always the main problem on most of the AR-15 based rifles

  • @tortue88 ya thats why Magpul made the Masada(ACR)

  • GO CANADIAN ARMS

  • @TheFaisalHalawa produce by Colt a U,S company ! Stop claiming our shit !!!!

  • @TheFaisalHalawa Google c-7 gun made by Colt ,its been a U.S company over a hundred yrs

  • @TheFaisalHalawa this weapen is also used by dutch arm

  • My C7A2 is legendary. Or atleast i think, was really suprised the army issued us foregrips.

  • Great rifle.

  • nice i cant wait till i get mine in service in june, but there is a possibility that i get a hk416 wich is also really awesome i think grzz

  • because some regiments in the dutch army are replacing them with the hk416

  • yo did you do BMQ yet? ro are u doing it in june? because i wana join the CF and i just wana know how it is, like iv seen the pictures and the videos but i still wana know

  • yeah i start in june but ive already did have 6 weeks lessons at the army during army school at the army base that i needed to sleep there during the week so i know a little what it is grz

  • oh k thx

    wth is grz?

  • grz means greetz in dutch msnlanguage XD

  • More modern armies have adopted the C7/8 than the M16.. Should tell ya something. I think the Danes use the C7 too

  • Very good rifle. Eh, it's used by the SAS and SBS, so it has to be good! I respect you Canadians.

    Also song is:

    Kataklysm - Serenity In Fire

  • thx 4 respecting us!

  • long story short, Canada wanted to adopt the M16 as their service rifle, unfortunatly the M16 wasnt adapted to work in very cold temperatures... SO while the canadians were making their variant of the M16 "stronger" they also madde improvements to its design and internals. On the down side The C7 is going to end up weighing about 1-2 pounds heavier than the M16.

  • I got to shoot on of these bad boys on full auto it was the best

  • i went to CFB Borden in '07 for cadets and one of the reserve soldier showed me his C7 and looked through the scope.

    this gun is cool :)

  • apparently........ the canadian M16 (c7/c8) is better thn the actual american one!

  • fuck YA ITS CANADIAN

  • it's not the canadian m16 it's a different gun. and yes it's better.

  • The C7 just may save your life one day.

    ROYALS READY AYE READY HUAH!

Dont fuck around, put your hands on the ground

  • wow the music is discusting

  • Nah, it's got a vertical aiming post and some horizontal stadia lines for range finding. It sights in quickly like a red dot, though.

  • the picture at 1:21 is hilarious

  • so true

  • does CF let you use iron sights?

  • not usually.its mostly elcan sight onall of the c7s and c8s

  • Yes

  • not for C7..scope is quicker and easier to 0 in plus way more accuracy

  • not true at all have you ever used a c7 or even held on?

the main diffrence is that c7 a1 has a artic trigger guard that allows you to use it with artuc mitts in the M16 does not have that feature

    cheers, Brad

  • Brad? You live in Alberta?

If so, does the alias 'bushidotai' mean anything to you?

  • the main difference between the m16 and c7 is that the c7 does not jam alot compared to the m16.

  • and i was talking about the C8 not the C7

  • SAS / SBS use C8SFW over M4 says it all really

  • how do you know

  • I worked with them in a military exercise in 2006 , not one of them had a M16/M4 they all had C8SFW with AG36 grenade launchers

  • i didnt mean that nastily, i was curious, but thanks

  • and i wasnt replying with any nasty intent just expalining they dont use M16/M4

  • Search SAS or SBS and C8 and a lot of articles come up. Bubbles is completely right here.

  • yes and no, the C7 is based of the M16, but is far more reliable, because we have far more intense climates in Canada, from extreme cold in the winter (far north especially) to high heat and humidity in the summer, i have only once seen a jammed C7, because the recruit didn't load his mag properly, but i see marines with AKs from dead insurgents all the time because their shitty M16 jammed, the M16 jams all the time, i would never take it over the C7

  • So true and that is because Canada hired colt/diemaco to take the M16 and make it better. They basically took all pros the m16 versions had and subtracted all the cons and put together one kick ass rifle

  • looks like an m16 to me. lol. but the m16 is such a great working design. i'm not surprised other countries have adopted ther own variants.

    ne way nice fuckin gun.

  • go Canada

  • the scope look so 70s

  • Looks can be deceiving, Personally prefer the C79 scope over the ACOG.

  • Forgive my ignorance but what is the difference between the C7 and the M16 they look the same, use the same calibur bullets. Which is better?

  • its based off the m16 design which is why they look so similar. but the c7 is more durable, works in colder tempatures/ doesn't jam as easy and it can have more things mounted to it, grenade launcher, laser sight, etc..

  • You're essentially correct here but the comment about the C7 having more mounting options is kinda bullshit.

Nowadays with rail mounting systems, there are limitless possibilities for any Armalite style rifles..

  • The standard m16 is accurate to 680 metres on semi auto, and on tripple shot

The standard C-7 can go fully auto-matic with an accuracy of 650 metres. but excactly the same as an m16 on semi auto.

  • their essentially exactly the same with some minor differences, the c7 is used mainly by canadian forces and a few other countries and the m16 is primarily for the americans

  • Huge differences. The C7s reliability and durability and huge advantages over the M16. That's not all, just all I feel like typing... But if you look at the other comments, you'll see my point.
