i still have an oregon bar mount version of this used it once .the motor was running i turned my back to get something and the cutting stone shattered and threw bits of it the length of my garage.I now file by hand and try on a biggish job to price in the cost of a new chain into the quote, and have not had any turned down so far.a lot safer than these things in my opinion.
Sharpening a chain is one skill I've never picked up. Just no damn good at it for some reason or perhaps I'm looking for perfection instead of just "sharper than what it was".
OTOH- I learned early on not to bother sharpening in the wood lot. I just change the chain and I'm back at it in < 2 minutes. Much less down time and gear to lose in the leaves.
its not automatic

@dieseldick3408 yeah, that person will learn not to use a ladder when a limb will swing around and knock him off the ladder.

dude your bar is rooted... is this a joke u have no idea.
PS you dont use the grinder like that co you will blue the chrome, u need to grind it in littler bursts to prevent overheating

Looks like you need a bar grinder more than a chain sharpener...
