This trailer, like the deceptively chintzy poster, sucks. It's so misrepresentative of the film. I guess Hollywood doesn't want us to know that they are still capable of producing sincere, heartfelt films.

@NicCagesHairpiece Yeah, I agree. This movie's just so beyond what I expected. The trailer doesn't do it justice. Even though it's funny, it's not the kind of raunchy teen comedy that the advertisers pretend it is.

"Adventureland" hits these nostalgic, almost sad notes sometimes and it's completely, sweetly, genuine. If you've ever been to a fair or an amusement park with your friends as a teenager, then I think you'll have an idea of this movie's overall tone.

no, i am in australia, so it is different. In aus, adventureland is rated M, which is your version of PG-13. Our version or R is actually called MA-15. So if adventureland was rated MA-15 (R), i could not be able to go see it alone. Ive never been to an MA-15 movie at the cinemas but i will be seeing death trip 3d.
