  • mm yabusa in a justy awd?might run out of torque

  • pretty much useless to add all that weight in my view.i wonder if a wankel will fit sideways in a justy 4wd(rx8 engine for exemple.(evil grin)i sure hope so

  • @drbaltazar If you think running mid 12s is useless... that's your opinion...

  • Fuck! I want one.

  • Sweet car!

  • Hey z24sc how hard was it to fit the WRX drive train? What Rack And Pinion did you use? I guess you used the WRX diff engine and tranny? lol... Uh do you have any pictures of your build before and after? or even just after I wanna see this thing from every angle... Also did you sell it? If not I wanna come see it.

  • Your justy rocks the fucking house bro. Thanks for building that car, you made all Justy owners proud! Including me!

  • So the wrx awd drivetrain is about 300 lbs heavier than the justy awd drivetrain?

  • For sure the drivetrain is heavyier, and as it wasn't bolt-on, we had to add braces.

  • Oh, wow. I thought it would be a lot lighter. My impreza is just a hair heavier than that and I'm running a jdm ej20k so my time is probably close to yours then. Why is a justy so heavy, they look so small?

  • That is quick but wouldn't it be in the high 10's/low 11's with that drivetrain? Isn't the justy really light?

  • With that drivetrain it weights 2400 lbs (like a Honda Civic). My Justy was not 600 or 700 HP but 225 WHP. A 225 WHP Honda CIvic won't run high 10's/low 11's.

  • I have an 06 wrx motor / tranny / diff. ready to put into a Justy or Porsche spyder replica. Could use some help / info z24sc.

That Justy is fantastic! I love underdogs!

  • Pas mal bon ça man!

  • i want one..!!

    Cheers..

  • DUDE! INSANE! I wanna see your car at Naiperville ! I am getting a Justy!!!!! lol help me install the same engine in mine :P I want the STi one though :S lol did someone say Roll Cage?

  • Oh sorry....I DO have the adapter that enables you to mate a universal joint to the Motorcycle engine. costs $150 and is the ONLY part I need to purchase aside from the engine. everything else will be fabbed. hit me up if you have questions I will be recording the build up so any questions will be answered by viewing that. Hope youre as excited about this as I am. I simply cant wait!!!

  • OH and aflipz.....it will NOT take major modification AT ALL. I am using the Busa trans to drive a driveshaft....to drive the rear wheels......dont overcomplicate things dood. Also the part that is critical is a modified "sprocket" one that allows you to mate a driveshaft directly to the output shaft of the Busa engine. I might even use a CBR1000 or GSXR1000 engine....havent decided on final engine yet, but I will. I have been planning this since high school.....many moons ago.

  • If any of you have any questions on how to do any part of this build just drop me a line. Its all covered! Shifting....EASY.....Driving rear Wheels....Easy. REVERSE....not so easy....but will fab something up no prob. Should take about a week to build. Its gonna be so F'in RAD....I will document the build too so we can all have fun!!!

  • Cant seem to post correctly here....hope this works. I am building an Hayabusa powered Justy. All planned out using the rear drivetrain of the Justy hooked to a Hayabusa Engine. Any questions? Email me Dsquill at AOL. Will post my build up of this little MONSTER too. Stay Tuned

  • I am building a Hayabusa powered Justy about 1 week from now. ANYONE who says it cant be done is an IDIOT and cannot possibly call themselves a mechanic. I have everything planned out....going to be rather easy actually. Using the rear diff from the justy and hooking the 1300cc engine directly to the rear driveshaft. ONly thing I will really need to fab is reverse....making it out of an electric starter motor. CANT WAIT. Will post my build up of it too. SO stay tuned

  • LOL!!!!!!!! Epic Justy!

  • thats all the go has it got a sti engine in it,

(maudit sel)

J'me demande, est-ce que t'as pu garder des pièces du swap encore utilisables?

  • Merci!

  • It will be nowhere near that easy... the output shaft of a busa is tiny, and it has no flywheel, the tranny part of the crank case. I am telling you it requires INTENSE modification and machining to make the required part that would allow you to bolt a flywheel to it..

buying the clean justy and the busa engine is the easy and cheap part...

  • haha yea

  • Made in Quebec. Something to be proud of =)

I love to see the underdog deliver massive spankings like that.

That is one sweet sleeper. 5 stars!

I have this dream of a justy powered by a modified hayabusa 1300cc motorcycle engine (making 205hp at about 12K rpm) Of course almost every component would have to be a costly one off custom, but imagine what you can achieve with such a high rpm, lightweight engine, knowing there are some 500hp hayabusa turbos out there ;)

  • yup, i have a 1991 justy i got for 50 bucks, in amazing condition. and been toying with that idea. how much would one be a busa motor? the only thing that i cant think of how to do would be the shifting. how? hah

  • 50$ AND in amazing condition? I hate you so much! :P

i would love to get my hands on one that isn't rusted through.

The busa swap would be VERY complicated and expensive.I mean might be cheaper to buy a brand new STI... but still if i could affoes it I'd rather have my one-off busa justy than something off the showroom floor. I think it would have to go in about the same way Radical uses to fit them in their SR4's (which they now do with kawasaki 1200cc)

  • i dont think it would be too much, i was searching last night on ebay and they have 1300cc busa engines with like 12k miles for 1.5k-2k per. im not going to do it anytime soon but.. jeez i was just thinking about sticking it on the street and just schocking the shit out of all those kids who "race" around here hehe.. alot of custom fabrication will go into it thats for sure.

  • looks kinda legal if it has wrx gear but has to have been done well for road use.

  • Sorry, ok EJ20.. 2004 Imp Drive train! wow

  • EJ22 in a Justy!! Nice car!

  • Again: It's a EJ20, not a EJ22. 2004 Impreza WRX drivetrain.

  • dude i hav a justy to

wat did u do to yours?

  • Pure Awesomeness!!!Any tech info available? Strictly a drag machine or civilized enough for the street?

  • 100% street able. I delivered pizza with this car for 2 years! Then the rust helped me to put an end on this project.

  • O.O I have a '91 Justy and I just got a pizza delivery job with it, too.

Am I too... destined for greatness?

  • Jesus, 12.6? Seriously, that's ridiculous.

  • try to do better with a 3 cylinders, and come back talk to us about that

  • I think he meant that as a complement.

  • How cool is that? :-)) Great! I love it!I had a Justy too........but not such a powerfull!

  • i'm guessing u upgraded the full drivtrain diffs tranny and all eh, such a sick car

  • Justy and that driver: WINNERS

  • justy jak natrhlo vsem prdel... nice :)))

  • Awesome sleeper! Beating up on the Mustangs, is fun to wathc, haha.

  • I wonder what powerplant it has. I love how it beat a vette.

  • DOHC EJ20, says it in the beginning.

  • muy feo el auto

  • That is seriously fast, with that power to weight and AWD their isn't much thats gonna beat it

  • that i do believe.

  • Wow! howd you get a 2.0L TT in a little Justy? whas it hard to put in their? do you have instructions on how to do that?

  • That is great!I have same car,i want to make these:D

  • just awesome

  • think maybe next time the guy holding the camera can show the whole race and THEN the times ???
