I would like to point out that the statistics you mentioned about date to early 2008, which is almost 3 years ago now.
My main point would be that Baku, and as a matter of fact whole of Azerbaijan, is a country which is building as we speak. It is young and fast growing. Alongside with that it also a county which in a state of war. Combine the two and you will understand from where the figures were derived from.
Going back to what I mentioned about the date, a lot has changed since 2008. There were a lot of cleaning projects launched and a lot of machinery was brought from overseas with professional training programs. Several sights of the capital city were given under individual controls with cleanliness and order set as main priorities.
Azerbaijan is doing everything within it's power and resources to gain an economically fast-growing, ecologically friendly and efficient country status.
@cbracamonte Baku is very clean. But there are some oil spill areas in the suburbs of the city (related to our 150 year history of oil production). Government is taking care of that now. So the pollution is more "patchy" around the oil fields. But the city itself is just like any other city.
@TEVOSYAN Tevosyan, there is no reason for another war between civilians. Don't you think?! Both nations have already suffered enough from what's going on in the battle field. Let's restrain ourselves from violent accusations. To argue about the origin of both of our countries architecture is frankly wrong. Mainly due to the fact that both have rather western influence of architecture built under the Soviet regime.

@av63pnt0 I always try to get to know the people that are posting comments on my videos. Of course there are not many so many possible ways of doing it online. All I do is move to their channel and try to study and analyze their online behavior. See what kind of videos they are interested in, what kind of comments they leave, what arguments they make, subscriptions and subscribers they have.

Take it from me Forbes are correct. Baku is the filthiest city in the world. Good old President Alyev has them all brainwashed to think its a great place. Its smells real bad.
If it was so good why are all the images taken at night and why have they built all the walls to hide the slums on the way to the city from the airport. Yes it looks good at a glance, but my nose can't be confused by nice lights.

I would like to point out that the statistics you mentioned about date to early 2008, which is almost 3 years ago now.
My main point would be that Baku, and as a matter of fact whole of Azerbaijan, is a country which is building as we speak. It is young and fast growing. Alongside with that it also a county which in a state of war. Combine the two and you will understand from where the figures were derived from.

Going back to what I mentioned about the date, a lot has changed since 2008. There were a lot of cleaning projects launched and a lot of machinery was brought from overseas with professional training programs. Several sights of the capital city were given under individual controls with cleanliness and order set as main priorities.
Azerbaijan is doing everything within it's power and resources to gain an economically fast-growing, ecologically friendly and efficient country status.

@cbracamonte Baku is very clean. But there are some oil spill areas in the suburbs of the city (related to our 150 year history of oil production). Government is taking care of that now. So the pollution is more "patchy" around the oil fields. But the city itself is just like any other city.
