well yeah WOW WAS very popular and no doubt was the best game then...but the makers of Aion wanted to make a game even better game..so they started thinking and they came up with AION! I am going to play Aion to see what is it...and from what I see its very good...even better then WOW...but in the beggining we all liked WOW too...just saying my oponion..sr my english sucks xD
@zac2806 Ive played them both... Aion did copy alot of things from WoW, and with the graphics it makes it even better. But the gameplay isnt as fun at WoW's and once you do the gameplay once if you do it again it will be the dam same thing. Same questing areas, same mobs to kill, same plants and rocks to gather.

Wow's graphics get ass raped by Aion.. With no lube. I've heard many players who've played aion and come back to wow only have one complaint.. Grinding is all they felt like they did in the game. Aside from that they said they would play it over wow if that was fixed. I'll wait to try aion myself after another year. By that time if their subscription base is still strong and more content comes out it should be in it's prime and I'll get a better game.
Yeah i think everyone who Still Loves wow, either just start playing not too long ago, or they haven't played enough of it to actually get sick of it yet and trust me you'll end up sitting at a raid thinking why am i wasting my life like this, or your just purely a WoW fan. If you wanna try something new i think Aion would be the next step.
In my opinion they may sugar coat Aion as much as they want but in the end it is still nothing more but a stereotypical korean mmorpg that for some reason has gotten a considerable amount of hype which is kind of a surprise to me considering that all it has over most mmos these days is the graphics and even those lack in certain areas of the game.
This game will probably last for perhaps a year or 2 more till something new comes out and all you people move over to that because it looks better.

WoW is best everybody knows Warcraft 1,2,3 and its lore goes to World Of Warcraft Azeroth...Outland... every datadisc is part of WoW lore... World Of Warcraft is best because of its lore and I love that game.World Of Warcraft is BEST.

Is there anyone here who has actually played the game past lvl 20? Anyone who has actually played Aion at ALL? Please tell me what separates it from the other korean grindfest MMO's? I went and bought Aion, played it, got over the graphics/animations/character-customizations fairly quickly and by the time I reached lvl 22 I had lost ALL interest. The game is designed to hype you up from lvl 1-15 so Aion gets good reviews from complete newbies who still can't get over the graphics/characters.

this game seems to be more individual and pvp based. For those of us who still want to play MMOs and dont want to sacrifice 15 - 20 hours a week on raiding, this seems to be a solid alternative. The only way to kill end game content in WOW is to literally have no social life in doing such. don't believe me? 3 to 4 nights a week is in fact a HUGE obligation to a video game. I ordered this game, it should be here tomorrow and I canceled my subscription to WOW. hope this will be a better game :)

@NNNNinja Gee, I never said that I wanted it all to be easy. And the faster leveling in WoW was about scale. Every time they added new set of levels, they simply increased the rewards for leveling beneath that level range.

Quarterly report shows aion has 5 million subscribers and infact increasing fast. not only has it beaten wow in its first year, its also closing in to the throne. pretty cool if you ask me, i think we have a new major mmo who will be at the top in no time. Aion is indeed a very well done game, and you get a challenge in it, thats why my old woW server got a merge and all left wow for aion, and non of these that i know of have gone back to WoW again. sad for blizzard tho :/

But the gameplay isnt as fun at WoW's and once you do the gameplay once if you do it again it will be the dam same thing. Same questing areas, same mobs to kill, same plants and rocks to gather.

Things that both games NEED. Can we say WoW copied Aion's in-built quest tracker? Yes we can, it was released not long after Aion's launch. But it probably didn't. Its got alot of things other MMOs dont have though i will say that. They should add a bit more to it though The built in quest helper doesnt make a difference, because most WoW players even nobos have the quest helper add-on.

Doesn't matter about whether people had the addon or not, cause that's what they were - addons - not made by Blizz for WoW. I'm not quite sure what you think is copied, as without what it has, it wouldn't be an MMORPG. So every MMORPG will NEED the same/similar things as WoW.

But iam getting sick of wow, all i like to do is PvP, but now its just destoryed, Ive been thinking about switching to SWTOR, it takes all PVP and combat features from all games and mixes them together in a star wars verison of a MMO, it looks sick, have to seen it?

Seen a bit of SWTOR but don't think I'll be trying it, doesn't appeal to me much atm. Keeping my eye on The Secret World - if that'll ever be released. ><

@Kelenti SWTOR is still in beta, it has 4 months till it comes out they got a few things to fix before it will be finished. If i placed the Secret world i would most likely have nightmares all the time, i CANNOT stand games about modern times but in a twisted verison, it makes me peranoid bad. WoW copied the shit out of EQ and just made the graphics and movement better rofl. What i dont understand is, theres WoW, aion every other MMO, but Perfect world has the most players... WHY??

Wow's graphics get ass raped by Aion.. With no lube. I've heard many players who've played aion and come back to wow only have one complaint.. Grinding is all they felt like they did in the game. Aside from that they said they would play it over wow if that was fixed. I'll wait to try aion myself after another year. By that time if their subscription base is still strong and more content comes out it should be in it's prime and I'll get a better game.

In my opinion they may sugar coat Aion as much as they want but in the end it is still nothing more but a stereotypical korean mmorpg that for some reason has gotten a considerable amount of hype which is kind of a surprise to me considering that all it has over most mmos these days is the graphics and even those lack in certain areas of the game.
This game will probably last for perhaps a year or 2 more till something new comes out and all you people move over to that because it looks better.

WoW is best everybody knows Warcraft 1,2,3 and its lore goes to World Of Warcraft Azeroth...Outland... every datadisc is part of WoW lore... Is there anyone here who has actually played the game past lvl 20? Anyone who has actually played Aion at ALL? Please tell me what separates it from the other korean grindfest MMO's? I went and bought Aion, played it, got over the graphics/animations/character-customizations fairly quickly and by the time I reached lvl 22 I had lost ALL interest. The game is designed to hype you up from lvl 1-15 so Aion gets good reviews from complete newbies who still can't get over the graphics/characters.

this game seems to be more individual and pvp based. For those of us who still want to play MMOs and dont want to sacrifice 15 - 20 hours a week on raiding, this seems to be a solid alternative. The only way to kill end game content in WOW is to literally have no social life in doing such. don't believe me? 3 to 4 nights a week is in fact a HUGE obligation to a video game. I ordered this game, it should be here tomorrow and I canceled my subscription to WOW. hope this will be a better game :)

@NNNNinja Gee, I never said that I wanted it all to be easy. And the faster leveling in WoW was about scale. Every time they added new set of levels, they simply increased the rewards for leveling beneath that level range.
And I stopped playing Aion because it was much too monotonous.

Quarterly report shows aion has 5 million subscribers and infact increasing fast. not only has it beaten wow in its first year, its also closing in to the throne. pretty cool if you ask me, i think we have a new major mmo who will be at the top in no time. Aion is indeed a very well done game, and you get a challenge in it, thats why my old woW server got a merge and all left wow for aion, and non of these that i know of have gone back to WoW again. sad for blizzard tho :/
