  • i don't mean to sound corny... but it's never too late :]

  • @alpaigeca

can u make a video on good back strechs

  • @sidonia90

I started training contortion when I was 22. I had really bad teachers that caused me to get hamstring injuries, but 18 months later I'm almost as flexible as this girl.

  • @lilylucent

that is really impresive, but i think that it also depends on your flexibility.some people have flexible bones some don't. i do not know in which category am I, but when I try to train myself alone , i feel like a brick.maybe i am not doing the right exercises.and where i live..there are no teacher..so i don't know.

  • @sidonia90

It's not about your bones. It's about muscles and ligaments.

A great way to learn basic flexibility is through yoga. The only difference between yoga and a lot of contortion moves is the focus on breathing. Yoga is also a much healthier way to learn than training at a chinese school (what I did).

The most important things is that you do it AT LEAST 3 times per week, preferably 4 or 5 and that you take your time to avoid injury.

Approach stretching with curiosity rather than intent

  • @lilylucent

yes, i see what you mean. this winter I finally managed to do splits.but when i try to push the limit and d it better my ligaments streches so badly tat it is imposible for me to de splits for the next 2 months. because it hurts me. badly. what I would really like is to get flebiblw on my back.but then again i still feel like a brick. ;)).thank you for the advise

  • @sidonia90

To avoid injuring hamstrings, try this one.

Get on both knees, with your back straight. Keep your back and hips where they are, then place one foot in front of you (your knee should be at a 90 degree angle). Pretend you have a tail and curl it under you, so that your pelvis rotates. This should stretch your front hip flexors (front of your hip, next to your groin). By stretching these, you'll use your hamstrings less in spits and get better hip flexibility in bridges, etc.

  • wow

    your really good

  • haha cool! i can do ll of those tricks but not the box!! so unfair i can almost do it in like an inch away!!

  • haha practice makes perfect :] do you do circus juventas too?

  • ya! i go on wednesday for contortions then multiple trapeze!!! what day(s) do you go? i cant wait for the show!!

  • mondays [triple trap 1, spanish web 2, contortion 3] and wednesdays [non performing bungee trap]

    what contortion level is that?

that was totally my reply, i was accidentally logged into my brother's account. sorry. haha

  • plz can you send me a message to give me tips on how to make my back more flexible or even make a video to show me because i can do the splits but my back isnt verry flexible :P x x

  • wait, do u do circus juventas?

  • yes i do! :]

  • kool! do u no the grenke's??

  • kinda. i took a class with lucy, and some of my friends know jimmy. :}

  • kool ya lucy is like 1 of my bffs cept now she goes 2 highland... so ya....

  • i do circus juventas!!! but i dont know the grenke's.....

  • wow bro thats crazy cool

  • Wow, awesome:-)

  • howd u get so good?

  • PRACTICE. hahaha thank you :}

  • Wow, great job! That thing at 1:30 looks hard, infact IS hard...I have tried it before lol.

  • ur very cute~

  • aw thanks :}

  • I began contortion when i was 10 or 11. I attend a youth circus school for contortions once a week for one hour, but also take other circus classes. now i am almost 14 and it really only took about 6 months or so...

  • At what age did you start contortion? Are you self taught or do you go to a studio? how old are you know and how long did it take to get you back flexible enough to be able to do a chest stand?

  • sweetness! i luv it! youve probably hear this a million times but do you recommend any stretches? or at least a way to stop my back from hurting after stretching?

  • aww thanky so much!! :] haha definitely bridges and elbow bridges. dont stretch too hard.. stretch a while and maybe just practice a couple tricks if you know any. if you get pain just ice it or get icy hot medicated patches from a pharmacy/convenience store :]

  • Very good, is very flexible too !

  • You're really flexible.

    Is it just natural?

And any tips for chest sits?

    You're really great! :D

  • really cool...

  • i wish I could bend like that!

  • WOW!!!!! That is really neat. Do you stretch everyday?

  • most days i stretch splits but only my back about 4 times a week. otherwise i have lots of pain for about a week.

  • I am working on my splits now and I'm getting better! (yay!) Do you have any tips on doing splits?

  • ahh its great that youre getting there. lemme know when you feel accomplished in your splits! :D

im not sur how you stretch your splits right now but im assuming you kneel on one knee and bend the front leg and hold it and/or bend the back leg... thats the usual. hard to explain though. haha. but my advice is just for when you bend your front leg and push forward. drop your hips down towards the floor as far as you can, plus you can bend your back leg, pulling your foot towards your butt.haha :]

  • yup.....that's how i'm stretching! I just started practicing yoga and I'm lovin' it. Thanks 4 the tip too.......I lose my balance a little when I try bending my back leg...lol! And i will surely let u kno when I get that split down......it's only been almost 2 weeks ;)

  • yeah its kinda hard to balance in that on, but its a super affective version of the stretch! haha you can feel it a lot. you can also arch when you have your front leg bent, thatll push your hips down further. GOOD LUCK! :D

  • wow, that was amazing I just subscribed can't whate to see more:)

  • aw, thank you so much!

  • I would like to be flexible like you! Fantastic!

  • can u plz do a tutorail on how to do that move on 1:02 cuz itz cool..

  • as soon as i have the time :] no problemo

  • great performens

  • WOW THAT BE SOME AWESOME THING!

is it good way to enjoy some tasty mushrooms???

  • thanks.. what?

  • youre welcome!

im looking for a good way to get into adventure... and i was wondering if im in odd position i will get in weird but awesome adventure... after eating few mushrooms....

  • That's very impressive, at one point it looks as if you can almost touch your head to your butt?

  • haha thanks! yes i can with enough stretching. i do actually intend on making another video with some tricks i seem to have left out including one where i do pretty much do just that.

  • You are fantastic!

Any chance you can frontbend too? I'd love to see you put your legs behind your head!

  • aw thanks! im not horribly inflexible forwards, but i still cant really manage the foot behind the head idea. haha. its the whole turning the leg that way that i hae issues with. ill work on it :] i could post something with my current capability though. haha

  • oh man you're so flexible!

    definitely an inspiration! ^^

  • Avery good video showing excellent flexibility. Ian

  • Very nicely done - and at 3am, VERY nicely done, hehe. :) Keep up the great work, there's lots of talent there.

  • amazing flexibility...really..whats the name of the song?

  • Help- Beatles

  • to see that like contorsion,With but training to possibly secure but flexibility,To have very good base,To hope to see my favourite positions, surely a day would get to do triplefold perfect and I would like to see it..

  • Wow your back flexibility is quite amazing! How long have you been training for?

    Also can you do handstands?

  • thanks! ive been training about 3 years i think..

ahh! you caught me! haha i truly cannot do a decent handstand. im working on it.. haha

    thanks again.

  • me neither the only thing i can do is the splits, backbend and highkicks. oh and i can put both feet over my head. but i have been stretched as a toddler so its in me. you did awsome
