i was a runner on the video for this back in 2004. it was great because the band and the brass section played live and tore it up along with the playback. they were great guys, i have very good memories of that time.
Is anyone coming to see The Ordinary Boys on their new tour? My band (The Lost Boys) are supporting them at Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms and we need to shift tickets from our stash of tickets. Please email us if you want tickets and we will get them to you at a reduced rate! thelostboys@live.co.uk
Such a shame. Saw them at Hull Uni many years ago,and they were great live. Supported by Bedouin Soundclash and the Automatic, great nite. Shame Preston disappeared up his own arse
the only reason preston went on big brother is to save the band, they got told that the record sales were bad and they could of been ditched by the label, so he went on big brother to get the band noticed more, so yeh :)
1) Not really, muse haven't sold out, and they are frigin' huge. and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are an original band.
2) It's no excuse, you either make it with musical integrity or don't. Besides, they broke up after this didn't they? So it was pretty much the WRONG decision.
It is perfectly possible to make it without selling out.
Preston is the biggest fuckin sell out on the planet!! that bastad killed the ordinary bois! and afta BB it was Preston and the ordinary bois everywhere! Bollox man!
I had never bought into a bands message so much as when I heard there first album, how can a band that preached so strongly about shunning commercialism jump head first into it and so crudely? having said that I'm still a fan!
OMG, their old stuff is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo(you get the idea)ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than their new album!
Really good band, sold out a bit after Big Bro..still music is cracking. Saw them a year ago in Aberdeen, excellent. Same at T in the Park this summer.

Fucking ace song. Used to do it in my acoustic duo. People loved it but never knew who it was. Which pleased and annoyed me in different ways.

He still sold out, if you get desperate, you don't sell out, you do anything to avoid it
RIP old Ordinary Boys, I miss you.

The sad truth is that it's either don't sell out and get kicked out, or get a number of people to think you sold out and stay in the record company.
At least they did get more attention.
