If memory serves me correctly the Blazers were undefeated at home. I believe 36-0
and had only 9 losses on the road. I don't recall how many ties. I also remember goalie Joe Junkin on Jan 1, 1973 beating Greensboro 11-0 and his son was born that day
Anyone remember Bob Costas doing the radio play by play!!!! How about Ted Downs as the PA announcer?? Old time hockey and great memories........I used to watch the semi-pro Syracuse Stars play at the Coliseum (State Fair) in the 60s-70s...
I remember that season so well....Dad was a stockholder in the team....I was eight years old...and to every game, I wore a gold and sweatshirt with black number 16 for my favorite Blazer, Mike Morton. I know Coach Ingram passed away many years ago, as did Dave Ferguson, but I would love to know what happened to the rest of the team.
The Blazers are probably my favorite childhood memory.
This is so weird. My husband (Darryl Knowles) played for the Blazers for four yeas, including the year they were part of the Slap Shot movie. He would have loved to see this live.

I was there when the Blazers won it all during the last year of the old EHL. When was this banner raised?

It was raised March 8, 2008 and was a pretty cool ceremony that the Crunch put together.
