  • what a masterpiece...

  • buena rola nada es como parece

  • Why is there only 185,499 views???

  • Mike McCready's best work. He somehow channeled heaven through an amp.

  • @harrier414 THE most underrated lead guitarist in a platinum selling band, the guy is possesed, yet anytime theres a top 10 guitarist poll in a magazine his name is nowhere to be found. I like to think that pearl jam wouldnt be as sucessful f not for Mr. Mcready lol. mad season was great too

  • NEVER!!

  • dont it feel like methadone !!!

  • It's too bad their new stuff can't be this good...

  • @Magnifico35 Have you heard Unthought Known or The End off Backspacer? That album helped to rekindle the PJ flame for me.

  • @Magnifico35 amongst the waves....its one of their best

  • the little that you see, it's home

  • Yes. Nothing as it Seems

  • PJ couldn't ever get the 10 album magic back

  • @jaywelling That's my least fav. I like Yield and Vs. personally.

  • @jaywelling i know its wierd how they never could like Vs and Vitalogy i think was good but nothing compares to the album Ten

  • Guitar reminds me of "The Dark Side of the Moon"

  • this song is about kurt cobain...

  • @HiredGuitar , I guess it should be about Layne Staley,......... "sunny days"

  • @HiredGuitar Wiki: "Ament revealed that he wrote "Nothing as It Seems" about his childhood growing up in a rural area of Northern Montana"

  • 2:52

  • Best song on Binaural, for me.

  • No I Don't Feel Like Risperidone, Can't Fucking Breathe

  • wwwgreatbuyoutletscom

  • Spine Tingler. Such an amazing song.

  • Omg this song is great.

  • On plus there is many other superfluous chromosome disorders, so that isn't necessarily the case.

  • 3 x 21st chromosomes, not 21 chromosomes. But I <3 all Pearl Jam

  • one of the meanings of this song is Down syndrome, being awkward and not fitting in. "one uninvited chromosome" (Down syndrome means having 21 chromosomes in ur DNA instead of "normal" 20)

  • putting in, and putting in- dont feel like METHADONE. know how it is- great song!

  • Binaural was a masterpiece!!!! I'm just sad because I have all these associations to what happened in Roskilde in 2000. I was there: I was just a kid. And what I witnessed that night was not fun at all!!!!!

  • This song reeks of pink floyd

  • .............

  • pearl jam is one of the only bands that can get me back to mellow

  • I think it's amazing that they can write rockers like Even Flow or Spin The Black Circle, but they can also write wonderful psychedelic ballads like this or Sleight of Hand

  • People change...songs change...but we all know somehow the essence remains

  • People change...songs change...but we all know somehow tge essence remains

  • One of the great 2000 alt rock releases from seasoned veterans.

  • blues-grunge-rock... but then... why bother labeling greatness?

  • This is Jeff's second song with Nothing in the title. It almost is as good as Nothingman. My hat is off to Jeff, he's maybe the most talented songwriter of this band, which says a lot. Shame he doesn't write more, but look at what he's given us already: "Jeremy", "Why Go", "Nothingman", "Low Light" and this song.

  • @Jorsalfar don't forget Sleigh Of Hand

  • @johnnieczech Don't think ive heard that one.

  • @Jorsalfar it's on Binaural, the slow and tricky song

  • It's a shame this album wasn't more successful. It's easily in their top three, if not number one or two. It really is too bad this came out after so many years of crap from them. No one was listening by this time and it fell largely on deaf ears. Now this album goes completely underplayed by them live and it really is right at the top level of their work.

  • @DirtbagEconomics pearl jam had years of crap? when was this? between vs-vitology-no code?

  • @quaecky It's not that it was crap, it's that they failed to find a real center for a lot of years. Hard rock / grunge turned into noise grunge, which turned into whining, which evolved farther from rocking and more towards whining, and then yield was geared towards a completely different core audience which left the original audience scratching their heads like, wtfbro? A lot of fans gave up due to yield, and the new yield fans, just didn't support further releases. That's my take anyway.

  • @DirtbagEconomics: You lost me at "years of crap from them". I feel bad for you, that you arent able to appreciate Vs, Vitalogy, No Code, and Yield, and why you choose to spread your shit everywhere is beyond me.

  • @Tigerpuffer I liked parts of those albums. Maybe you weren't there for their first album, then their second, then their third. By the the time yeild hit, people had had enough of waiting for PJ to be the band that they were in 10. And that's fine in hindsight, but that's how it was. It's like the Unreal tournament series. Unreal was great, UT was amazing, Unreal Tournament 2003 went in a vastly different direction and left a lot of fans going, "WTF?" UT2004 helped, but by UT 3 we were done.

  • By the way, it's easy to be a big PJ fan now and reminesce about Eddie Vedder's glory days and how awesome PJ IS/WAS depending on your slant. But no one is interested in new work from them anymore. We'll never see a major release from PJ again and now their out there playing their old hits. That's fine, this work got released after people had given up on them (Just look at the sales and quit crying), and as a result it's underplayed and undervalued. It's not a hard concept @Tigerpuffer.

  • @DirtbagEconomics: Wow, you can't be more wrong. That period of time is probably the most popular among PJ fans, and they stated before No Code that they were gonna try to keep their fanbase down. None of their albums were commercial flops... not that sales measure a record anyway...

  • Man I was 5 when this came out, it was only 11 years ago... what the fuck happened to music?? All my friends like Eminem now. What the fuck?? Pearl Jam for life...

  • @Tigerpuffer Nothing happened to music.. I fuckin love Pearl Jam AND Eminem "/

  • 4 idiots

  • My fav

  • Love it, feels so good to my soul ;)

  • love it

  • enuf whit ya comments about who likes and who dislikes -_- everyone haves right to give opinion, and i fucking love pearl jam if you guys like it say somehting constructive or good about it, just dont make stupid, and non-sense comments

  • two persons have again been browsing hanging from their feets

  • two people who dick-disliked... fuck m.. wtf is wrong with you to press the dislike button,,,like WHATTHEFUCK!!!!

PJ rocks.. and s fucking awesome (THUMBS UP)

  • Wonderful song, binaural was so underrated in the beginning. Is one of the albums that get value with the passing of time

  • someone said this is written about kurt cobain. is this true? You know, "scratching voice" and "one way ticket headstone" anyone confirm?

  • @fwahobaghad Jeff (ament) wrote this song, and I think he wrote it bout someone growing up in a small town and always feeling a little outside, you know, But I first thought it was Jeff comparing himself as a songwriter to Eddie, " Nothings like your baritone" and " nothings like your poem"...

  • @Ekyvvsaq Its inspired by the death of Kurt Cobain, so I have heard.

  • @owenstheused No, I think he wrote it about his own life, growing up in Big sandy, and also influenced by the book Nine below.

Immortality on the other hand might be inspired by KC death........

  • @owenstheused This song has nothing to do with Kurt Cobain. Jeff Ament wrote it about his childhood.

  • Nothing like your baritone~

  • I very like this sing

  • Love all their cds and the changes.

  • I wonder how Dave Abbruzz wouldve sounded on this

  • @bcancun123 better than every one else.

  • This song is otherworldly; it sounds like PJ was influenced by Pink Floyd evidently by the guitar solos and the gloomy, spacy aura.

  • @arinross523 Yes, I also think it has some influence on Pink Floyd

  • very underrated

  • Si, este tema esta muy bueno.

  • super song

  • Todavía la escuche en Radioactivo, durante ese verano siempre nublado... Una vez la escuche completamente bajo la lluvia y fue una de las mejores experiencias que pude haber tenido.

  • Love this song!

Utwór rozkręca się niesamowicie i nie ma się ochoty na koniec.

  • hey eddie, gracias por este tema. gracias por tocarlo en uno de los momentos peores de mi vida.

  • Don't get to deep you might fall in and never return!! I have heart burn!! :\... :)

  • I want the vinyl LP in the collect anyone knowwhat I mean??

  • Beautiful, lonely and cold.

  • This song is great. It is songs like this that make it impossible to imagine life without music.

  • Boy is Kurt missed.

  • at 2 mins 52 sec. that change makes this song epic.

  • @rafayanwar You read my mind. That part is AMAZING.

  • dont feel like methodone . . .

  • Great great song!! Also I like Insignificance

  • @MARSELIMADHE I got id feels alot like this one too. GOD I love PJ, you got an emotion they got a song for it, actually MANY songs.

  • @JerFhilm the emotion comment is how ive felt for years man. I always tell every one theyre the only band that actually makes me feel some thing every time I listen to them.

  • @babylonkid Yer too young! I thought the same thing back then. I'm 30. I'm guessing you're late teens? ENJOY YOUR YOUTH!!! Don't grow up like me with broken bones all over the place. REVEL IN YOUR YOUTH!!! Fuck like a monkey, lookin back with what I know NOW I should have!

  • @JerFhilm You're 30 and telling the guy to revel in his youth? I'm 30 and I'm still revelling in my youth. It's a matter of perception.

  • @DextroChemist Props for posting that. I'm 29 and I feel like I can still "be young" now haha.

  • @DextroChemist

Me 2, Bro. It's all psychological. "It's never too late to have a happy childhood." ~ Tom Robbins

  • @DextroChemist

That's the spirit.I get 36 this year, people say I still look like I am 26 and inside I feel like an exited little child.

  • eddie, eddie, eddie, whatta voice. pearl jam will always and i mean ALWAYS be one of the greatest bands..but i do miss the older stuff compared to backspacer...

  • I like this song

  • awesome

  • I think Binaural is way underrated. One of my favorite albums.

  • To jeden z najlepszych utworów na biniural. Nic nie jest takie jak być powinno

  • Good I love this song........

  • Putting in sure as shit doesnt feel like Methadone.

  • Favorite Pearl Jam album.

  • 2:52 is when it gets REALLY fucking amazing, it's all amazing the rest of the time... but there it really hit me. I love it.

  • I LOVE Pearl Jam!

  • This is without a doubt best PJ song in the 2000's.

  • whatever that means, i agree...what an awesome song..guitar heaven

  • grande canzone, risentita dopo anni, sempre emozionante !

  • This song proves Jeff is a great songwriter. Also Mike seems to have influence from David Gilmour. I guess I am just a die hard Pearl Jam fan. I cannot name one album by them that is bad. People who rag on Riot Act: it is usually considered the best album of 2002. Want to know why? Google 2002 in music and see what it's competition was. Not the best Pearl Jam album, but good songs found on it

  • i wonder if they used binural recording on this album

  • They did for three songs: Nothing As It Seems, Of A Girl, and Rival.

  • My mistake. Of THE Girl.

  • @Doifebag Also Sleight of Hand and Soon Forget.

  • @metallica662200 I believe they did, this album was one of the albums that Brendan O'Brien didn't produce for them, and the binural recording was part of that process of trying something different.

  • depression to the bone, in a good way though!

  • mike is the best !

    mike = feeling...

  • this is my favorite of pearl jam's newer stuff.

  • lol new stuff you suck

  • This song is literally a life saver...It's helped me get through depression so many times...

  • Some people are going to hate this comment, but I really like the drum sound Cameron's got on this album.

  • @LkAuYrNtE: after superunknown anything this man does is OK bordering Genius in my books!!!

  • @ cottoneyemike: Haha, too right aye! I saw them live not long ago and he was great. THEY were great.

He has such a cool style, especially in Soundgarden too.

  • yeah managed too see soundgarden twice and PJ once

    A

    MAZE

    ING

    :D

  • @ cottoneyemike: you are so lucky! Soundgarden broke up before I was old enough to appreciate them so I never got to see them live..

  • Well you might get to now anyway.........

  • yeah I heard they were getting back together aye. Should be awesome!

  • yep their gonna be at lollapoluza this summer, unfortunatly lady gaga and green day are gonna be there too but I still think Soundgardens gonna make the biggest impact

  • Superunknown was a Soundgarden album .Eddie Vedder has always been with Pearl Jam , he never sang with Soundgarden , you are thinking of Chris Cornell ( awesome singer as well!!!)he was the lead singer of Soundgarden. They did Temple of the dog together (a mother love bone tribute) mm mm mm good

  • matt cameron is more apart of pearl jam than anyother drummers hes been in the band the longest and the best for them LkAuYrNtE

  • @zanzibarpat Matt Cameron sucks.

  • @babylonkid hey man, can you tell me why he sucks? .. lots of people say it.. I dont understand?

  • @lxvlx sure. because his style is boring and stale on Pearl Jam songs. Not every song, but most of them. I dont know about the Soundgarden stuff though I didnt care for their music.

  • What a masterpiece, what an awesome band. that's all.

  • @omgaflyingmonkey

I wanted to say something. No wait, It's all there.

  • your a phony fake mofo you faggot. EDDIE FOR PREZ!!!!!!

  • what made u think that, u inbred

he has achieved everything in this world, you, most probably, have not.

So don't criticise others when you fail to look at one's self.

    you motherfucking fuckwit - I KILL U

  • OMG! This song is so fucking awesome! Pearl friggin rules! Nuff' said

  • Stellar!!!

  • NO COMMENTS ON THIS FANTASTIC, OUT OF THIS WORLD SONG??? :)
