  • Uhhh, I'm a college degree photographer and I think his work is just fine. Everyone should have their own style. That's kind of the point in having many different photographers to choose from as a client. Yeah dude, you can critique until the cows come home, but the fact that each photographers work is unique to their own style & that they are getting clients is all that matters.

  • @kaylawlz314 Great comment. College for photography, can stifle creativity. I think it's great to be educated, but at some point you have to break out of generalized education & create your own style. A poorly managed biz will fail even if your the best photog in the world. I say use college to learn biz management. In the last 4 yrs I shot over 500,000 photos, which was my education, and made enough pay my bills and feed my fam. Oh yeah, I never went to college. Be wiser - earn while you learn.

  • 1:22 WHAT THE HECK

  • Quitew frankly there is nothing here but empty phrases from an oil salesman.

  • @Ew85000 Oil is actually a very valuable substance so, thanks for the compliment. I think you ment to say "Snake Oil" which comes from the 19th-century American practice of selling cure-all elixirs in traveling medicine shows. Your ignorance of the idiom in which you tried to use reflects your lack of competence. So, I'll let your comment stay right her for everyone to what a moron you are. Thanks for stopping by.

  • @prophotosupport Thank you for your 'correction' Your answer confirms my opinion.

  • Good video , don't listen to the hate that online.

  • @siulsomar17 Thanks! I appreciate the comment and support.

  • you run your business good but man don't ever let a college degree photographer critique your work all your stuff is centered, blown out, way too hot, and lens flare that you probably didn't do on purpose, your white balance is off i could go on for days just learn the rule of thirds for the sake of every other professionals eyes

  • @MrBradtime Wow! You could tell all of that by watching a low resolution video on youtube. Hmm, I've actually had half a dozen graduates with FA degrees in Photography ask to intern for me so that they could learn my style and technique. Come visit me and look at some of my prints and then you can give your feedback. Once again, I don't see and photos posted on your youtube account or any links to your photos, so I'll assume you are a troll looking to make yourself feel better by being an ass.

  • Shooting the clients!?!??!?!?

  • The people are assholes man. I'm no expert, but I would suggest moving your queue cards further away, to minimize the visibility of your eyes reading them. Not a HUGE deal, but it might help in your future YouTube videos. But seriously, I love the video...my friend and I are seriously getting into starting a legit business so, I'll take all the tips/advice I can get!

  • @300Z31 Ok so it was the first video I ever put up on Youtube, give me a break, I was a little nervous. :) No worries though, I'll be freestyling it from now on, I know it can be annoying watching people read a teleprompter. Thanks for your comments though and best wishes to you for your photo business success.

  • @prophotosupport Oh yeah man, I wasn't tryin' to bust your balls or anything, just an honest tip for the future. Sorry if I seemed douchey...

  • @300Z31 No worries, I'm very aware of the rules of 3rd's and 5th's, but rules were ment to be broken. Do you really have to stop at a 4 way stop sign, in middle of the mall parking lot, at 3AM in the morning? Well, the rules say that you do. But stop signs are there to protect and preserve life. If there is no chance of an impending/life threatening situation, then it's probably ok to bend the rules. Do this in Manhattan on a Friday afternoon at 4PM and it's a totally different situation.

  • @PIGEONCHUCKER Thanks for commenting. I find it funny how the folks on youtube who make the rudest comments are usually the ones who haven't posted any videos. Probably means one of two things. 1) You have a low self asteem, so you go around putting other people's videos down to make yourself feel better. 2) You don't have anything important to say. Probably a mixture of both in your case. Regardless, I will take your criticism and I'll let it fuel my passion to contribute to society. Thanks!

  • @memomemomemog You are correct in saying it depends. Some factors to consider: average income of your region, home based photography vs retail location, are you the only photographer or if you will hire employees, your living expenses, if this will be your only source of income. You could ask 10 different photogs how much they make and get 10 drastically different answers. It is what you make it. So the question is, how much do you need to make and are you willing to work hard enough to make it?

  • you look weird, it matches your voice.

  • i have a question i know you guys will say it depends but i wanted to know how much do photographers make a month like around how much do you make im planing on getting started for this carrear but i just wanted to know thx :)

  • @jtalada Wow! That's what I'm talking about right there. Well said jtalada. It's easy to sit on your butt for hours on end surfing YouTube.com. As you said, It takes strong will and desire to learn and also the desire to be successful, plus a willingness to be teach-able. After that is the fun part, you get to pay it forward by sharing what you learned through experience with others who share the same passions, mean while reaping the rewards of your hard work. Thanks for posting your reply.

  • Firearms wrote sayin ..pease don't? Get in line behind 5 million people? ....for any one who has a strong will and desire,a little bit of talent and a brain smarter then a potato, can learn get better and make it.in what ever they choose to do! It people like him that just sit there and doo nothing cause some ones already doing it? That makes a hole lot of sence??

  • reviveyourcompanydotcom is all you need

  • He shoots in Williamson County Tennessee. Williamson Co. is #17 on Forbes "America's 25 Richest Counties" - Population: 165,336 - Median Household Income: $88,316.00. People who know how to earn and save, more than likely they know how to plan for the future (Daughters Wedding). Folks in Williamson Co., since it's in the south, like to "Show Off" their status. If you market yourself right, you can easily book at least one $5k wedding per month which = $60k per year (12 Days of shooting) Not Bad.

  • What sort of weddings is your friend earning $20K at? Celebs?

  • We did over $100k in revenue our first year in business. I'm sure, not everyone will be as successful but it is possible. I have photographer friends who make $20,000 shooting 1 wedding. When you average things out I know that not everyone will be able to make $20k per wedding, but it is possible to do so. Also, I'm not trying to be an average photographer, if average is your aim then I guess even an extra $33k per year is not a bad ROI on the minimal investment made on photo equipment. Right?

  • 6 figures? The average photographer earns $33,000 a year...

  • The photo at 1:30 is priceless!

  • Hmmmmmm. Went to your website and it hadn't been launched yet.

  • @4Firearms I disagree, there is always room for creative individuals to enter the photography arena. It challenges those of us who have been around for a while to step up our game. There are innovators that need to be here to take us to the next level. I say, "WELCOME", with open arms.

  • @prophotosupport: Thank you! I was about to... Grrr! You give wonderful advice and I thank you for all of it!

@4Firearms: Just because there's many self proclaimed photographers out there it doesn't mean you should wreck somebody's dreams of becoming one. I do agree with you in the fact that now a days whoever buys a DSLR automatically labels himself as a photographer, but it's the talent what counts, Standing out in thew crowd and making your work be remembered. Cheers.

  • @4Firearms ...and about 99% of them give up. I have always been given grief when I have new ideas and want to get into something. I do agree with you to a point but I think the people you're talking about get into it thinking they will make money fast or maybe that it's easy. The first photograph I made money on was taken with a point and shoot.. LOL. (S95)

If you can make a living doing something you love, you'll never work a day in your life...

  • @4Firearms Photo oversaturated, yes. Video oversaturated??? No way. New things are being done, demand increases as the depth gets better and better with the smaller studios producing better results. But don't let over saturation discourage you - 80/20 rule...most of them aren't good and the ones that are actually in business have the demand to keep up. Oversaturation usually means a lot of the same, so be drastically different.

  • @4Firearms Soo how can you not want people to show thier creativity, As long as Cameras are sold more and more people will get them. Let me guess you though you were an George Lucas or an Ansel Adams and got your ass handed to you by an noob.

  • @4Firearms I always had thought the same idea the same as u, but later, i discovered that one photographer may die, and i may squeeze in :D

people change every day, old go, young come, if u are not good enough, u r doomed, UNTIL you know what are you doing.

  • @4Firearms Wow... what a sad comment. You're so scared of failure you won't even try? The world is full of folks who'll tell you you suck so you might as well keep punching the clock in some dead end job. What if you don't want to listen to them anymore or better yet what if you don't want to be them any more?

No one can do what you do best so it's up to you to find what that is and exploit it for your own good. You might like it too.

  • Your right u dont need any loans just about £20'000.00 for all the gear you should have to be a pro photographer lol.

  • @kingcrusty69 Actually, you can start from scratch, for about a $2500 investment. I have a list of every piece of equipment and software you need to get started. Six months after you have started we'll evaluate where you are and see if it's time to start adding the advanced equipment. No need to waste money guessing what you should purchase. We already did that for you. We have thrown away thousands of dollars trying to find the right equipment. You don't have to make the same mistakes.

  • Do I just go to the website?? HELP! :)

  • @Starsofneon Sorry I haven't gotten back to you. Google has not been emailing me comments. If you have any questions please email me directly from our website.

  • @Starsofneon We're re-designing the website right now. We originally launched about a year ago but needed to be change some things. So, we pulled back while we are redesigning the framework. Go ahead and fill in your email address on our website and you'll be one of the first to beta test the site once we re-launch. We are getting very close to letting in the first beta testers, plus the first 500 folks to fill in the form get the "Photo Biz Workflow" for free. ($300 Value) Peace
