I find it incredible how such a small project started by two friends turned into a multi billion dollar company. Hopefully I'll get accepted into stanford and the same fate will happen to me!

@WiiLoveYoshi If that is why you want to go to Stanford, you need not apply. Even someone who has a basic understanding of what Stanford represents can see that it is not about forming a multi-million dollar company to profit off of. That kind of thinking is short-sided and misleading, which is probably one of the reasons the school has an odd reputation among people who have not been involved within their community.

@NUGNESS123 Ah, sharp criticism you got there! Perhaps I wasn't being specific enough; as I mentioned earlier, I stated that I had a desire to have the same fate as them. Yes, indeed making a successful company is one of my goals but another one of them is to do good with the money. Like their logo, I want to "... make money without doing evil." I want to form a mutual symbiosis with the community. I want to embrace social responsibility. I want to give back to the community.
