@TryThaiFooood Yes, certainly. However, not all chocolate works well in the microwave. I would suggest trying a double boiler to melt the variable chocolate. I have prepared with white chocolate this way. Also, variable pepermint candy can be used instead of the canes. Very yum! KtC
I'm not a candy person myself, but I know durned good and well that if I whip up a batch of this and set a tray on the coffee table, it won't last through a day. LOL
@anmoose I enjoy some sweets but not all. The chocolate gets me here though. This lasted but a few hours (kids love it for certain). I did have my fair share though.
Thanks Moosie. All the best to you and Merry Christmas. KtC
@culinarymajik There are a few ways to make this. Any hard candy works as well as variable nuts. Different chocolate too. Thank you! Merry Christmas! KtC
Simple and looks delicious! I'm not a big fan of candy canes, but I know someone who is. I'll bet this would be good while still melted to spoon over some ice cream for a different holiday dessert. Thanks so much for all the work you put into your channel to make cooking fun again. Merry Christmas to you and your Lady Kook!
@mrbr549 I'm not a big candy person either but their is a few around here. I enjoyed some of this, quite tasty with the semi-sweet chocolate as it had a bit of bitter to it. Also, a good easy treat to share.
Thank you for your thoughts I appreciate it very much. Merry Christmas. KtC
@NekoKamiko Any milk chocolate will do. There are many in Germany. Also, there is baking chocolate available. It will have to be melted in a double boiler though not the MV. Good luck, cheers! KtC
Minty chocolate .....very nice.....I may just keep it melted and drink it from a nice chrismas glass ......lol.....cheers kook , Merry Cristmas to you and your family and a very happy new year.....
@Texa41 The combo certainly is a 'love fest' (did I just say that, how old am I? lol) A double boiler is ideally used (I used it in the previous video). Merry Christmas to you Susan and your family. KtC
@jessicastarr9764 Hello Jessica. We do too although I can't seem to ever open one without breaking them though. Subsequently, I have more than I need for this recipe lol.
@shybluebonnet Lady Kook is my better half. The chocolate wil burn if nuked to high or long. Small bursts for a few sends and stirring will monitor any over cooking. A double boiler (pan on top of boiling water works ideally). The MV is less mess and easier. cheers! KtC
@yoyomax12 Hi Tammy! I have used them and I should get a couple more. Certainly would have made it a bit easier. Thanks for sharing your tip. All the best to you and family, Merry Christmas! KtC
Aww, YAY for Candy Canes!!! You know I am SO excited that you made this recipe :) I'm totally making this for Christmas! Merry Christmas!!! - Jenny XOXO
Do you think some assorted chocolate would go well with this? like white chocolate mixed with milk and dark?
