  • Chuck Norris can cut that with his bare hands

  • you said drill a hole for a lanyard, i say no. cause what if it slips and the lanyard actually causes it to hit you. it will stop it from hitting others. but really? fck them. its all about you.

  • lol I like how you played the death metal for the hawk because it was awesome and the gay music for the kukri because it sucked.

  • i want to get the norse hawk and put a 4-5 foot handle on it so i can reach out and touch someone :P

  • my favorite quote

    "fuck" - me

  • i have that two handed heavy machete and its awsome i have used it to clear a whole campsite but it can be used a very effective combat weapon of which i found out

  • great song great review!!

  • I almost that that norse hawk was a two handed axe. I bought one a few hours earlier, I am glad I did buy. P.S. LoL @ the "la la la" song .... genius!

  • @CaptainJackSpizzoIV Typo "I almost thought that" not "that that"

  • @CaptainJackSpizzoIV hehe I had fun picking the songs and that one just felt right. Some of these dudes are giving me hate for it but whatever lol Enjoy that hack, bro. I just gave all my tools of tree destruction and torture to my big bro... I feel like half a man now... I'll have to buy that bolt action Marlin .22 to compensate :P

  • @TheShnuz Hehehe

  • you didnt sharpen your kukri, its the company crap edge

  • @utuubee Correct. I didn't sharpen any of them prior to filming. With a good edge that kukri would be wicked.

  • @TheShnuz it would have been sick if u filmed it after it was sharpened

  • I'm going to buy the Norse Hawk for the sole reason you used Amon Amarth to review it.

  • @HandsomeDynamite Really it's a Beastmode of a hawk. You'll dig it. Touch the blade up a bit when you get cause the company legally has to send them semi dull. Kick some tree ass!

  • khukuri is not for choping woods, its for chopping flesh, bones, and... yes, even ur dick!!

  • @FrogMast3r ... lol wut

  • @TheShnuz The kukri is as fast as your fists are, the angles are completely different. is made how it should be, you can slice limbs and chop heads with it. Comparing a long and heavy blade with a small one isn't fair at all lol.

  • @FrogMast3r it didnt preform cause he had the factory edge on it

  • @FrogMast3r not my dick! mines too big

  • @carlyle0229 liar.. :D

  • the two handed machete seemed like it was flexing while you were trying to chop from the cameras angle, i love the kukri machete and norse hawk tho 20$ each is a steal

  • Great song.

  • @wmc1982 >:D Glad you liked it! Rock on!!

  • does the head come off the norse hawk?

  • @hellzheroman Sure thing. Instead of a using a wedged stopper on the top like traditional axes, it uses a screw going through the back of the axe head into the handle. This dude here /watch?v=GLqiAefRw30 put a huge handle on his norse hawk head. Gave it really nice power. Rock on!

  • i like how you used amon amarth for the norse hawk lmao \,,/

  • @witchy892 Their awesome is too strong to resist! Rock on!

  • @witchy892 \m/ Amon Amarth!

  • amon amarth FTW! and FLORIDA FTW west palm!! haha quick question... does the blade on the heavy have screws or rivets? (can i take the blade off of the handle?)

  • @silentknight2112 What up, Homie! Some beefy rivets. I've never tried taking rivets off so i don't know if their's an easier way but I bet with 10 minutes, a hacksaw, and a vice and you'd have a the blade separate. Rock on! thx for commenting!

  • i got a question. what the fuck is an air potato? lmfao

  • @Wyndstarthedruid haha! Good question. It's a non native vine, down here in the south, that grows these potato like tubers that'll fall off as they grow too big. I found a cool vid from some guy that looks like Morgan Freeman here /watch?v=qQUXGviyzTI . Rock on!

  • @TheShnuz thanks man, have you tried to eat them? or are they non edible, i havent watched the vid yet.

  • @TheShnuz I've read that you can, and the guy in the vid takes a bite of one then spits it out lol, but some times people say the wild ones are poisonous. That said, lots of poisonous plants are good and healthy after cooking (i.e. Taro root that Samoans eat all day long).

  • If you had a loop in the handle couldn't it possible swing around and get you in the back or leg?

  • @AndyCarnage It could. With the loop though, you still have some control over where it goes by moving your hand farther away from your body as it swings wildly while still on your wrist. Nice thing is that you don't even have to think about doing that cause your freaking out and trying to get the swinging blade away from you lol. To me it comes down to having a little control over none. Rock on!

  • kol is the norse hawk about tht heavy cuz i need something new tht actually cuts

  • @mikegribbins I'd go 2 handed heavy for cutting and work. But if want something for camping, i'd go Norse Hawk.

  • how light is the 2 handed heavy in pounds cuz i need a new machete

  • @mikegribbins It's 14.9oz. So just over a pound. Thing is super light but really packs a punch. It's by far my favorite machete.

  • funny as stuff on the kukri review

  • @mikegribbins lol It's hard to see in the vid but the branch i'm hitting was the size of a normal persons thigh. Not was it was meant for but... meh lol

  • with the khukri you should hit the target with the recurve (approx. middle of the blade). Seems like you used mostly the tip of it... The strength of the khukri lies in the recurve ;)

  • @Petriealright I realized that during the filming of this but was getting eaten alive by vampire demon spawn. Aside from slaying as many of them as I could, I just couldn't spare the time (because of blood loss) to shoot it again. Thx for pointing that out though. Kukri's were totally new to me that day and are to most average Joe's. Rock on!

  • @TheShnuz ok XD

that's a pretty good excuse XD

  • You can get the Kukri two handed also.

  • nice technic with the two handed good angles. (no sarcasm)

  • ol dirty bastad

  • No wonder it didn't chop the wood. It's a machete, they are for chopping weeds and thinish wood.

  • LMAO dude! Killin trees with the norse hawk listening to Amon Amarth... you rock

  • @MRob8504 Haha, that comment rocks! Amon Amarth 4 teh WIN!

  • Hey man, greetings from Germany.

Nice Vid. Is the Cold Steel twohanded still in use and does it work quit well?

    Great choice of music.

    KumaBran

  • @KumaBran Thx KumaBran. Yes, the twohanded is still rocking good. I was just up on my roof the other day, trimming back some large oak limbs that started to scrape the roof, and found it to be my tool of choice for anything thicker then 4 centimeters. When you get it you will be disappointed that it's such a thin blade but it'll surprise you with it's power. Rock on!

  • you seem like a cool dude

  • @RummyStarShip Thx, bro!

  • well i see you have the normal edge on the kukri that comes very dull u should try sharpening them all

  • @dewman6655 Yeah, since this vid I've sharpened them up with a file. I found all of them to have heavy dings.

  • i found the norse hawk a bit light for a good chopper but its gets the job done. used mine for a year mostly throwing it and the handle is totally beat but i was real hard on it. best $30 ive spend on an axe plan on getting another. good call with the amon amarth bro!

  • Thx for the comment, Rock on! It is a fun thrower. Have you replaced the handle on it yet? I haven't had to yet but it looks like it's just held in by a screw on the back of it's head, instead of a wedge at the top.

  • @TheShnuz yah it just has like a hex key that sticks into the hickory you can use an allen wrench to adjust it. im thinking i might weld on some steel tubing as a handle just for fun and make one tough ass thrower cus like i said im pretty hard on most of my stuff and im surprised it lasted through what it did and its still fairly useable hah.

  • @JeffWJeffW That'd make a beast of a thrower :D Seriously make a vid of that. It'd also be cool to see a vid of you making it too.

  • 1:50 is hellz yeah amon amarth it goes well with the norse axe yeahhhh rock on

  • @coldsteelman777 :D Rock on Brother! Thx for the comment.

  • yeah man

  • Yep, same with mine. I haven't drilled a hole for a wrist loop yet but I think I'll want to for the next time I need to use it. Rock on :D

  • Have you used it much yet? How'd you like it?

  • just curious, did you sharpen that kukri before the video because ive been hearing that you gotta sharpen that kukri before using it cus the anti rust coating they put on there is also applied to the edge dulling it

  • @pinoytoman I did this with its factory edge. Though before the vid I used all of them for part of the day to get the feel of them, so they weren't 100% for sure.

  • ahh... how i love Amon Amarth nice vid man

  • @kiddimeister Thx :D Their one of my fav bands now.

  • Haha awesome vid man. Love the sound track. 5 stars for sure. Keep reviewing things! Its nice to see someone who's not too afraid to put their blades through some stress.

  • @allpowersrise I'm glad you liked the music and review. I think I like picking songs to go with the vid more then I like making the vid lol.

  • Nice little demo, just a few things I wanted to point out, Cold Steel calls it a Two Handed Machete, not Two Handed HEAVY, hence its light weight. The other thing is you are using the budget Kukri machete, not the Ghurka Kukri which is an awesome chopper in either San Mai 3 or Carbon (carbon V or SK-5) steel. Other than that I enjoyed your vid. Well done

  • Thanks bro! Appreciate the comment and the points you bring up. When I was making this vid I was lamenting the fact it was not 3mm, but after looking around I think I like it the way it is, light weight and fast. If I want something heavier I'll go for a diff tool called a Brush Hook. I'd love to try the San Mai 3 Ghurka they got :D Peace.

  • oh baby i like it rawlllll !!

  • lol :P

  • Kukri's cutting part is the inside curve.

Old two-handed Kukri's were used to split wooden shields from top to bottom, taking the wrist with it. They weighed over 10 pounds.

  • nice vid, love your sence of humor. wish people like you were more well known lol. keep it up

  • Thx bro. Nice to know you didn't hate it :D

  • Awsome review. That two handed machete was great. Agreed 3mm would have been better.

    :-)

  • After seeing your review on the British military machete (great review by the way), I'm determined to see this go up to 3mm or even 5mm. Mainly for stabilities sake but that extra power wouldn't hurt >:D Think this would work well on a zombie?

  • LOL. Yer the thicker blade would work bertter IMO. Have a look at the 15" kukri vid I did for a real zombe killer. But I love the reach of the heavy machete.

  • Oh nice, didn't see that vid of yours yet. Only the one where you had that crappy machete and you mentioned it being nice for trading to newbies. Which I thought was good and clever lol! (Fun book)

  • great!!! but that is not proper gurkha knife, cuz i am son of gurkha and i got 2 brilliant gurkha knife and they are really sharp and heavy (better than the gurkha knife shown in video) ;)

  • Good demo of the blades eh, the first two had more "mass" to them, the Gurkha is somewhat more lightweight, imho, The energy from your blows was being dispersed by the wood target "springing" with each blow, had it not been, the result would have shown to be even better. I saved a lot of effort when doing this type of thing by improving my accuracy and hitting the same spot. Enjoyable vid, Thanks!!

  • Yeah, the kukri is really better suited for lighter stuff but I had already cleaned off the tree by the time I made that part of the vid. Agreed on the accuracy! lol. I've had a lot of experience with machete's a couple of years ago but haven't worked with them much since then (job change) so I knew I'd not perform well for the camera but dude, I just got these tools and couldn't wait to make the vid :P. I appreciate the input!

  • Hi, Shnuz m8, I was not in any way criticizing eh, in fact "stating the obvious" would be about right ! It's just that I kept seeing the tree (or branch), moving up and down, and thought "dam, if that tree was against a rock or rooted etc, the blades would knock the C*@p out of it haha :-)) What's more m8, you post vid's that's enough reason for respect eh! I look forwards to more, when you have time etc. Thanks.

  • I see what you mean now lol I took it as constructive criticism anyways cause my aim wasn't very good :P In my next vid I'll show why those branches are suspended and bouncy. Wasn't very safe of me so I think you'll get a laugh at it lol.

  • I look forwards to that m8 hope you didn't get hurt in any way whilst doing it !

  • great video bro, I freaking love the norse hawk, i gotta get one of those lol, nice touch putting Amon Amarth in during that lol. 5/5

  • I had to bro lol Dude I'm gonna take this vid down, It's quality is horrible compared to what it was before the upload. It's darker too. I was playing with the compression and screwed it up :P thx for watching it though!

  • enjoyed watching it lol it is a bit dark at parts but nothing horrible

  • Agreed, it was too dark most parts. I'll work out some lighting stands or what not for the next outdoors vid. Good learning exp. Now that it's done processing the vid, it's quality has gotten a bit better. And I threw in some annotations. You got any plans for a second vid?

  • yeah lighting is tricky outside sometimes, depends on the time of day too I guess. Looks good though either way. I'm not sure lol, maybe my O.S.O sweet or one of my really old knives lol not sure yet.

  • Looking forward to it. I've never heard of O.S.O before lol sounds cool

  • lol thanks.
