I love how even on the surface he can't remember what direction he went. He dies and promptly starts running the wrong way. Also from the last video he goes in a cave, comes out the other side and finds a swamp, but can't seem to recall where the swamp is a few moments later.

One of the first mods you should do is the Amazopack from where you get the painterly pack.

when optfog/optimine comes out you shouild get it, it really helps with the lag issues also put ur graphic settings on fast instead of fancy

14:02 There's a mod that let's you pick up arrows that skeletons shot. it's by Pyrius on Planet Minecraft. Of course you can't get it until he updates it! he also has a really awesome mod that adds gems and one of them is found in the nether. The arrows mod is called "Pick up all arrows" and his gem mod is called "Gemcraft". You should use them JB!

set your render distance to short or medium and "f" still adjusts fog. If you are like me and using a weaker computer, this patch was brutal to graphics and processor. You may also need to turn off the fancy lighting under your graphics options in game. I had to turn fog all the way off and set render distance to short and had to kill the nice lighting.

Notch said, I don't quite remember where, that the orbs are for "leveling up". once you get enough of those you will gain a skill level wich will make you mine faster, kill mobs faster, sprint faster, i think it will basically increase your strengh... i think it was on an IGN video where he showed the 1.8 patch, not sure, but check it out anyways
