The guy is hard as hell, you need to use only physical attacks at first, you can get away with 2-3 lightening attacks, before it counters with its own. You also need over 50 HP when you kill it, or else the blurp kills you.
@NorbPwn Actually its rather easy if you use a different tactic. All you do is alternately cast the lightning type spell and steal, steal will cause him to try and copy as if you used another magic spell which resets his turn. He will only be able to hit you twice with this method: At the beginning with Iron orb, and at the end with Dalton Burp thingie. ;)
i downloaded this hack: Chrono Trigger - Flames of Eternity and i stuck in the destroyed er dont know how it was called. but now i cant go on. i just stuck.
Heh. Why is it that nobody seems to know how to beat the Golems?
It's very important to note that a lot of the boss fights in CT were designed as puzzles. Like, the whole first half of the game.
The trick to beating the Golem (easily) is to force it to copy other types of moves before it gets a chance to act- for example in this fight here, if you alternated between ShadowBolt and Steal throughout the entire fight, you only would have been hit by the opening Ironball and the BURP death counter
of course the same applies to the original game (and it's much easier with multiple party members) just bring in two characters who have different elemental moves and cycle between them the whole fight. Instant Win.
Yeah, this is more of a 75% alpha from what I understand. It's the first version the beta-testers were given. They hadn't gotten around to gauging battles for difficulty yet, so the enemy stats are way too high. If you're looking to enjoy it, I'd find some Pro-Action Replay codes that'll make you stronger or invincible. Besides this fight, you can run from practically everything anyway.
Sorry transience, but you got jipped if the seeder/uploader claimed that this was the 98% complete beta. This is even before the first preview was done (the first preview shows that Magus' Omnishield spell effect is gold, not green, for example. I'd say this escaped the beta testers in early February.
This boss is a pushover! I just casted Lightning>Ice>Fire and he never attacked and he died in 3 turns XP
