  • That's very realistic training... Towing a broken down LAV. Marines need to be used to having broken down shit. lol

  • the music fits at the part with the hovercraft.... like SWEET MOTHER OF JESUS; WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?

  • I always wanted to fly planes in the airforce, Colorblind. you can't. I've always wanted to drive tanks in the army. Colorblind, can't. Now. I want to join the marines. don't care what job, but can somone tell me what i can do in the marines?

  • @BSheehan0011 Marines have the highest demands & qualifications, join the Army or something in a non-combat arms role.

  • @BSheehan0011 I went in 1986. Open contract. why? I got in trouble in 85' My dad former Marine 64-70 signed me up parental consent. Left right out of high school. My point is. When you get to boot camp you retake the asvab test again to make sure your the one who took the test recruiters do cheat. That test is the determining factor of what your MOS is They gave MOTOR-T. so keep a positive attitude and you'll be surprised where you'll end up.

  • SO COOL. I'm so excited to enlist!

  • Team America World Police at its finest. I am an ols MEU and I do Not agree with the Wars being waged in my name. Stop killing innocent people for the New World Order. It is not cool folks.

  • @TheyDidThis your an ols MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit)? How could you have been the entire MEU? I don't believe you and I sir was a part of several MEU's i.e. BLT 2/6 which went to Kosovo on this very ship.

  • @TheyDidThis IF you want to blame anybody blame politicians who give them their orders. Their job NUMBNUTS is to follow orders. THIS IS COOL! I did it in the 80's when we had sensible politians who unlike you. who think before they react. Your doing nothing but blaming the something way down the chain of command. The real team america was Bush Jr and his cronies go post that crap on their videos. The Marines are just the US version of watch dogs waiting to be taken off the leash.

  • @tcbgem7 Tell us about that team. Team America. You seem to quite understand and feel how their Geopolitics worked out, on this Planet.

  • That shot of the M1 rolling off at 3:23 is about as badass as you can get.

  • Experience really is the best teacher.

  • hey what are the requirments to do usmc meu?

  • overkill? nah!

  • jaglavaksoldier, I have a question. I was looking for a documentary that aired on the Military channel a few yeas ago, I believe this footage is of this documentary. This show wouldn't have featured the USS Saipan and the 26th MEU? If so, can you give me more information about this documentary so I can go about finding it in full length.

  • fair warning to anybody from foreign countries: if you see these on your local beaches, run and hide because theres no fighting back.

  • this might sound stupid, but what happens if the LCAC gets shot in its balloon thing it floats on, and it gets punctured? would it pop or waht?

  • @FastEddie718 no there is a massive hole at the bottom it would need be fixed but it would still work perfect

  • Why does the Music and Video remind me of command and conquer? UNIT LOST!

  • America's premier 9-1-1 service. the United States Marine Corps, taking names since 1775 OO-RAH

  • HUMVEE iS the poor man's tank! :)

  • HUMVEE i the poor man's tank! :)

  • An MEU is an awesome sight to see...!

As an Aussie, at Shoalwater Bay, I/we were highly impressed by a small proportion of the "Yankee Green Machine" storming ashore, in wave after wave!

We actually preferred the term "Expeditionary Marine Unit" as it made the acronym 'EMU' [an Australian bird] .

I worked with the 3/3 Marines, in about 2000, Shoalwater Bay Training Area, Australia.

  • @petethebastard My apologies...! I don't recall which MEU!

    The 33d MEU rings bells...

  • I like how it plays epic music when the tank comes out of the LCAC

  • They had everyone including troops and vehicles onshore in 30 minutes! this is an extremely effective and efficient assault technique. thats Marines for ya!

  • to bad we didn't have this during the many beach landing in WWII

  • @nycwiseguy91 we had something like this... not as complicated, but that was really the start of what this has evolved into...

  • @nycwiseguy91

To bad you guys aren't even good at what you do. Guess who planned and successfully executed the largest amphibious assault? The Army. Oh, and you guys don't even have you're own school. You use the Army for that. But hey, Respect goes out to you. You guy's are some tough mother fuckers for still going into battle with M16's.

  • Typical jealous pro army cunt let me give you a quick history lesson yes D-day was the biggest but was only one of 7 in the European and African theater, but the entire Pacific campaign was nothing but island hoping and each new Island was a bloody amphibious assault and not to mention the fight with the coral that was the most effective anti vehicle and anti personnel trap and in D-day America supplied only 40% of the overall troops in all the pacific it was 75% Marines so Fuck off troll

  • @nycwiseguy91 ya, and guess help planned the D-Day invasion for Normandy? the U.S Marines.

on that note in terms of ships not men.Okinawa was the largest.

  • @nycwiseguy91 Shut the fuck up i bet none of you are even in the services, and if you are, you probably only talked to a recruiter like 2 days ago. Army, Marines, Airforce, Navy, Coast Guard, who gives a shit. they all train harder than hell and are dependable. I'm a Marine, and i respect an Army grunt just as much as any other Marine. they say the Marine Corps is a brotherhood, when really, were all brothers united under one flag.

  • The big air floating automobile on water and land is literally the scariest thing I've ever seen...Weird but it was very scary .....It's like the most awesome thing I've ever seen ! I <3 it ! Our 500 billion dollar budget on the Marines is totally worth it ! : )

  • @joshqui420 the marines are tough... but if you wana beat them... u just gotta fight unconventionally... just like the iraqis... dont wear uniforms... hide among civilians... and plant bombs... be a killer without a face... if u try 2 shoot it out with the marines youl be killed in seconds... so dont...

  • note to self: when the usa comes.... put mines on the beach

  • @101andrewj Then you'll just piss 'em off even more.

  • @HeadTater good, a angry soldier is more likly to make a mistake,

  • @101andrewj Yeah, an angry 'soldier', these aren't soldier boy, these are MARINES! The only mistake they will make is shooting you in the neck instead of the head.... just to give you the chance to watch yourself plead out and suffer instead of enjoying instant death..

  • @tgs455 u wish... if the marines are so fucking mighty... explain to me how the fuck they havnt killed off the iraqi insurgency yet? ... how come they cant stop the fuckin taliban? because they aint shit. its not hard to figure out that the marines and the US army are designed for conventional warfare. electronic surveillance and wiretaps dont work on people with no phones or computers... same goes for the war fighting strategy

  • @101andrewj You obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Marines are DESTROYING the Taliban in Marjah, just like they did in Fallujah, Ramadi, Haditha, and everywhere else they have faced each other. The only reason there are any insurgents left is that they keep spawing in places we aren't allowed to go kill them. Stop blaming the military for the failing of politicians.

  • @101andrewj secondly. Ever heard of the Barbary Wars, Banana Wars, Haiti, Somalia, Kosovo, Grenada, Beirut? The Marines have been in far more unconventional conflicts than traditional wars, and as such have developed their warfighting style to decisively win such engagements. Go read MCDP-1 "Warfighting" and learn some history. By the way, wiretaps and all that crap, that's CIA and FBI crap, so don't even bring that up, idiot.

  • @tgs455 i have read that ... and its mostly worthless bullshit... if the fuckin marines are so great why the fuck dont they deploy and fight both insurgencys in afghan and iraq? u say they are hardened when it comes to this type of warfare, they have the best training, the best gear yet they cant stop the insurgency... and all the insurgents u fight are mostly poor uneducated and untrained underarmed morons... imagine what would happen if you had to fight a insurgency in a developed country

  • @101andrewj why don't they deploy? well, because they have NO CHOICE as to where and when they deploy, you fucking moron. Before you talk shit about the military you should learn how the political system works you ignorant piece of shit. The government tells them when they will deploy, where they will deploy, how many people will go, what resources they get etc. Stop blaming troops for your governments' failure! Your GOVERNMENT is the one who has failed in fighting the insurgency.

  • @101andrewj We can kill insurgents all day long, but a few localized victories will never succeed in countering an ideological battle such as this.

And, if you read MCDP-1 and think it's worthless bullshit, that just tells me you are too uneducated to understand it.

  • @tgs455 i understand it.... i just think most of it is filler and jiberish that teaches you no more about warfighting then common sence

  • @101andrewj There no more Marines in Iraq because we defeated the insurgency. Were only operating in Afghanistan now and there's not a whole lot left to do there either. Tell me again what makes you an expert? The Marines train for the unexpected/unconventional fight every day and have won and continue to win in those environments.

  • my point is, no matter how powerful or well trained the americans are... they lack the strategy to win in a anti insurgency war. obama has figured this out finally and now he has ordered massive drone attacks on the pakistan side of the border with afghan. theres no point of fighting the taliban in afghan when they can safly chill in pakistan. same goes for iran and syria with iraq. unless america plans on invading all the arab countrys, then builds a wall around em, they will never win

  • @101andrewj Really? The Marines have been in these types of fights for generations. Read the Small Wars Manual published in the 1940's. Why do people think these stratagies employed by the taliban are new? My point is, since the American revolution, freedom has faced overwhelming odds and it has always prevailed due to the selfless efforts of good men and women. If you have been in a combat zone lately recently you would know all this...and no, watching CNN doesnt count.

  • @101andrewj Your wall stratagy is actually kind of ironic, considering that globalization has brought freedom to nearly every cornor of the world and created a world without wall. It is in fact the opposite of what you say that will win the way and that is the destruction of the wall around the Arab countries.

  • @cougar207 sure it does... but when a person can simply hop on a plane and fly to anywer in the world at any time... its nearly impossible to protect yourself as a country from terrorism and espionage... i say we let these arabs be the religious cavemen they want to be... and just wall them up and let them rip eachother apart... they can do polygraph test at the border and let out any arab thats non religous

  • @cougar207 you defeated the insurgency? so can u tell me why to this date are there way more US deaths in iraq then in afghanistan.... iraq death tolls still outnumber afgans even with the increase of us soldiers there... are you telling me that these soldiers are being killed rolling over their humvees and falling off ladders? i know americans are dumb and that shit happens in war but it cant be all of them... theres deffently still people shooting at them out there

  • wow, i see today they dont employ the use of naval bombardment before landing like they used to

  • @omgusernametak3n they would if they wer landing on a hostile island filled with enemy defences.... like some japan and america shit back in the day.... its to expensive and risky to do that shit in training....

  • @omgusernametak3n: Well, being an exercise on friendly soil I'm not really surprised. I assume this was performed just to hone their landing ability.

  • @hellahulla oh

  • dude this shit is old school

  • you should see how much we spend on health care and where it goes! We are less healthy than any nation in Europe.

  • So after the assault wave secures the beach, they build a temporary base on it?

  • sweet! we spend 500 billion a year on military nice to see were it goes

  • The nation spends 500 billion on the military. You spend about 200 dollars...

  • So we all spend about 200 bucks per person on the military, doesn't seem like a bad deal.

  • @swordimpulse07 Actually, you don't spend a dime on the military in the USA, not directly at least. Not one cent of personal income taxes goes to the military. The entire DoD budget comes from corporate taxes.

  • @impleasen is it really that high?

  • @DevinChief YES maybe even a bit more, put it this way we spend more on our military then

    all other countries combine

  • @impleasen good... .i like it that way!

  • @impleasen least most of the money the Gov gives to the military is well spent unlike other stupid government projects

  • cool video jagvlak
