@jrose152 Yeah body language has a lot to do with it, sitting down you have a lot of weight on the front of your bike, stand up and bounce it and itll come up. First gear wheelies are sketch, first gear is very power full and can flip you over before you even realize it.
While you're not very intelligent to use common sense to wear basic riding gear, at least you aren't doing it on a street with other vehicles around..
The gearing will help a lot its gives it more low end torque. You are doing fine,The video was kind of hard to see if i was watching the right one, so i dont have much to say right now. It is a little scary to stand up and and pop the clutch but second gear is very mellow and wont be as agressive as you think> you dont have to hit 12 o clock the first time you do a second gear clutch up wheelie. Stand up going about 40 and slighty slip the clutch and give it a little gas. It wont do a whole.
Great vid man, I've just started trying to wheelie in first, it took a while to get over the launching stage but now I keep it up for a short time and it revs out... I need to learn 2nd gear but not standing up am scared lol I have 2down on front sprocket and 2up on rear, should this just come up easily while sitting ? I just put a vid up of me trying a wheelie can u watch it and give me some help please bro.(search Leetwigg) Thanks man
Then keep trying and give it a little more each time. Just take your time and practice, if you want it bad enough you will get it figured out. Be safe and have fun out there, let me know how its going
@tiensymcnguyen69 My Sprocket is stock. I guaranty your bike will wheelie in second gear. It has a lot to do with body language. It is very hard to wheelie sitting down in second gear you need to be standing. Stand up go about 40 or 50 slip the clutch spile the rpms and drop the clutch. In the middle of all of this you need to pre load your bike which just means you need to bounce the bike so when the shocks are coming back up the clutch is re engaging and the bike will wheelie.
@tiensymcnguyen69 Yeah stand up and pre load the shocks and drop the clutch> start slowly and get a feel for how fast and hard it comes up and go from there. Take it easy but it would be always impossible to go over backwards from dropping the clutch well your front tires still on the ground. Youll figure it out quick, just go out and practice. It would be tight to see some videos when your getting close. Good luck man
what gear are you in...... and also when you pull up like that what RPM do you drop the clutch? just curiosity.... have NEVER tried it..... but sick wheelie and fuck all the "no gear" wearing bitches......seems like EVERY wheelie video has these ass holes....... yet in all the car street racing videos no one bitches about people not wearing seat belts..... shit gets me fired up... like you said... Mind your god damn business!!!!
@kenny8076 Its mostly feel man, ill do em anywhere from 30 to 60 so it depends on how fast your going. Just start slow and drop the clutch is second gear. Give me a little more gas each time and it come up and little higher each time. And those people drive me crazy too, gears important but they can fuck off they just wish they could wheelie that far
@4Blobert4 The RR is a more sport version, the RR stands for race ready. Some people say the f4i is a better bike for stunting but i love the rr and would go with that for sure
@WheeliesRus1 i thought it was race ready too forever. Wikipedia says otherwise, Race replica. as it is a production version designed from a Race bike.
Mind you own damn business, don't wish that shit on me. Just because all you can do on a bike is a burn out doesn't mean you have to hate. I don"t wanna hear shit until you post something comparable to mile long stand ups.
@wheeliesrus1 Lookin forward to seein some new vids. I'm hoping to get some too, I just bought a GoPro today so it should be pretty fun. I ride an 04 CBR600RR. Whats your buddy ride? I might know him, we ride with a pretty big group of people from here.
Can you give a brief overview of what our doing for 2nd gear clutch ups? Like r you starting at 4k and revving to like 11 and popping the clutch or starting at like 7k and revving from there..things like that. I have had no luck at all in 2nd.
Yeah i just have that full Arata system with a Power Commander. Second gear clutch ups. Will be posting some new videos of this season shortly, some staggered and standing on the seat. What do you ride, i have a buddy that lives in Mankato?
@tonski2006 Yeah i just have that full Arata system with a Power Commander. Second gear clutch ups. Will be posting some new videos of this season shortly, some staggered and standing on the seat. What do you ride, i have a buddy that lives in Mankato?
I think everybody is giving you some good advises but the best one i would give you is to get some gear man !!!!! Besides that great work man keep it on one wheel
It takes time man so be patient. At times you will feel like you aint learning nothing new but trust me your body is, dont take any practice session for granted. One day it will all pay off and you will see.
@Slimfro Oh i forgot to ask, do or did you ever get the wobbles when hanging wheelies. Sometimes after steering wheelies from side to side ill start to wobble and have to set them down, or occasionally ill start wobbling for no reason it seems like.
@WheeliesRus1 You might have too much air pressure in your tires, lower it a little so you can still enjoy your street ride and curves. Stunters lower theirs a lot for real slow wheelies, i dont. I never check my pressure so i cant tell how much there is in the tire, i just let some out to the point i find the sweet pressure for both wheelies and curves.
The wind could be a factor too especially on the freeway. Don't mess with wobbles ever. Set it down and start over or chill.
@WheeliesRus1 like you said wobbles come from going side to side. before i did stand ups i would look either left or right so i could see better and that would give me wobbles. getting to balance point quicker will decrease your odds of getting wobbles and so will letting out a little air in your tires. good wheelies
Very nice stuff man, very nice. It always makes me feel hype when i see someone throwin it up. Since you got these on lock try staggered stand-ups: left foot on passenger peg. It's less pressure on your arms and legs and you should be able to ride longer wheelies once you r comfortable with them. Then try to go slower when bringing them up: the quicker they come up the slower you go! And last but not least always think about your foot on the brake and tap it every now and then as practice.
@Slimfro Dood just got back from riding and it was a good ride, learned a lot. I had tried riding staggered once or twice before but it just didn't feel right. I got em to come straight up this time and its like night and day, i probably wont ever wheelie un staggered again. So much less pressure on your legs and arms, your body weight is back further and its a lot easier to stay in balance point. A mile will be cake riding staggered like that, thanks for the heads up,
yes sir
