Well I don't get why everybody on this video HATES them. I would understand that they wouldn't like them, but not hate them. I like old grindcore like Terrorizer, Repulsion, Napalm Death, AND newer grindcore like Pig Destroyer and Agoraphobic Nosebleed. I didn't realize how many people who like old grindcore hate Pig Destroyer. If the fact that they're one of the more popular grindcore bands stops you from listening to them I think it's pretty sad. Who cares? It's just music.
It's not the popularity factor. Iron Maiden's fairly popular and most people like them. It's that if you're going to be labeled as grindcore, you better sure as hell play grindcore. It's like saying slipknot plays death metal (not saying it's that extreme, just an example). Know what I mean? When I think grindcore I think bands like Malediction, and Terrorizer and not the newer stuff. They sound very different from each other.
By popularity, I was talking about someone on this video saying they don't like Pig Destroyer just because they're not underground enough, which is ridiculous. But yeah, I know what you mean, Pig Destroyer is barely even grindcore anymore. Now they're death metal. But they used to be grindcore with their first couple of albums.

These guys were a fucking grind supergroup. A third of the material were originally Majesty/Nausea songs too. This album, along with the very early stuff on Earache, Nuclear Blast, and RC/Roadrunner are Grindcore/Death Metal masterpieces. The shit today is just trying to hard though. Only a few bands catch my attention. Grind my mind 'til death!
Which also on another note i do not care if you listen to those false grind bands i mentioned...I'm not here to bash someone because of music they like. Its fine to enjoy these bands but it upsets me that people label this and call it grindcore. Because it gives grind a bad name.
Well i don't have all day but bands like Warsore, Agathocles, old napalm and such come to mind. Also Sakatat, Excreted Alive, Thinkshit are a few others. Napalm death were influenced heavily by Siege who were grinding it up before anybody. Repulsion, Heresy (u.k) Extreme noise terror,intense degree and terrorizer is some of the best old shit ive ever heard. long live the blast beat.
This shit might not be as heavy as some shit out there, but as some ACTUAL FANS have pointed out, it was with the bands like Napalm Death IN THE CATEGORY OF GRIND, now if you want to check a hard band, check BRUJERIA, and also BLOODDUSTER (australia)

I had this cd in 1989 or 90. Napalm Death, Carcass, and Terrorizer were the first kick ass grindcore bands on Earache Records. Super fast drums at that time. That drumming speed is typical these days. That whole 'Pig Squeal' nonsense sounds silly to me. TO EACH THERE OWN. =p
extreme noise terror come from the 80's, and that was the first grindcore-styled music. At that times, grindcore didn't even have blast beats on drums, cause it still sounded similar to crust/hardcore, so we cannot consider them as "newer"!:) Cephalic Carnage are modern, cause they do use blast beats and sound ttally new as style......more, they do come from metal school, while E.N.T. were totally hardcore as music and culture!:)
This band IS NOT Death Metal Terrorizer are a USA band that plays Grindcore close to Carcass i have their second album and its similar in sound and style but Carcass have deeper drumbeat and a better singer.

Well I don't get why everybody on this video HATES them. I would understand that they wouldn't like them, but not hate them. I like old grindcore like Terrorizer, Repulsion, Napalm Death, AND newer grindcore like Pig Destroyer and Agoraphobic Nosebleed. I didn't realize how many people who like old grindcore hate Pig Destroyer. If the fact that they're one of the more popular grindcore bands stops you from listening to them I think it's pretty sad. Who cares? It's just music.

It's not the popularity factor. Iron Maiden's fairly popular and most people like them. It's that if you're going to be labeled as grindcore, you better sure as hell play grindcore. It's like saying slipknot plays death metal (not saying it's that extreme, just an example). Know what I mean? When I think grindcore I think bands like Malediction, and Terrorizer and not the newer stuff. They sound very different from each other.

But yeah, I know what you mean, Pig Destroyer is barely even grindcore anymore. Now they're death metal. But they used to be grindcore with their first couple of albums.

These guys were a fucking grind supergroup. A third of the material were originally Majesty/Nausea songs too. This album, along with the very early stuff on Earache, Nuclear Blast, and RC/Roadrunner are Grindcore/Death Metal masterpieces. The shit today is just trying to hard though. Only a few bands catch my attention. Grind my mind 'til death!

Napalm death were influenced heavily by Siege who were grinding it up before anybody. Repulsion, Heresy (u.k) Extreme noise terror,intense degree and terrorizer is some of the best old shit ive ever heard. long live the blast beat.

With grindcore I also understand Rotten sound, Leng Tch'e, nasum, Pig destroyer, Cephalic carnage, The berzker and of course napalm death, well they blew/blow away heavy thrash bands like kreator, sodom and agent orange, of course there are newer bands which are amazing, but for there heavier sounds they are mixing it or with death/black or even with metalcore.

I had this cd in 1989 or 90. Napalm Death, Carcass, and Terrorizer were the first kick ass grindcore bands on Earache Records. Super fast drums at that time. That drumming speed is typical these days. That whole 'Pig Squeal' nonsense sounds silly to me. TO EACH THERE OWN. =p

extreme noise terror come from the 80's, and that was the first grindcore-styled music. At that times, grindcore didn't even have blast beats on drums, cause it still sounded similar to crust/hardcore, so we cannot consider them as "newer"!:) Cephalic Carnage are modern, cause they do use blast beats and sound ttally new as style......more, they do come from metal school, while E.N.T. were totally hardcore as music and culture!:)
