  • Very interesting, so these were native blacks that fought on the Boer side??? Well done video

  • A country's history belongs to the country not to the people who run the country. The Boer War happened and it doesn't matter who won or lost. It is and will forever be a part of history. Destruction of monuments shows contempt to those they honour.

I am so disappointed in the New South African and their total lack of preserving history. The UK has buildings and monuments that go back long before the 11th century. South Africa isn't able to preserve anything older than last week!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for sharing. History changes and you are witnessing this change. More important to me is why you were not willing to give the man a drink. Moral jurisdiction? All he has left is drinking and who are you (we) to form a moral opinion?

  • At this rate, our people and history will vanish in front of your eyes, without any magic.

Fortunately there are people like you, who still try to have our history remebered.

  • There is a saying...

"History is [re]written by the victor" ~ unkown

Taking that into account, it means we lost; they rewrote it to what suits them.

A public holiday's name gets changed from "Day of the Vow" to "Day of Reconciliation", so along with the change of name, so does the meaning change.

With our history slowly being torn apart, so will our cause for unity disappear.

Our farmers get murdered in silence, and they hardly reach any headlines.

  • Thanks for this video, So sad
