would you recommend the marcinkiewicz proline concert hall series e3/3c for me play the solo part in my jazz band and i currently am the lead trumpet for our symphonic band and will move up to the top wind ensemble next year and will probably play the lower part for that so you you recomend this mouth peice to me and also does it come in gold?
and if not can you recomend a similar sized one that does come in gold
@mdemoin1 I can't really recommend anything to you without knowing more. what mouthpiece do you play on regularly? why do you feel the mouthpiece you use in symphonic band is not right for jazz band? so, when you say 'solo part', i assume you are playing the 2nd book in jazz band that has the majority of improv solos = is that right? what is your typical (comfortable) range limit? TO ME: the Marc e3/3c is similar to a bach 3c, though it is slightly more shallow w/ more brilliance + range
Oh, and you can get any mouthpiece in gold: just order at 'mouthpiece express' (look them up, since I can't leave a link here). They offer lots of custom options, from satin finishes to etching or engraving ... the Proline CH series is a really nice mouthpiece, but before you place a custom order, you should play the regular e3/3c (non Proline version) to make sure you like it ... if so, then order the Proline in gold.
i'm a mac, not a pc, and use the super easy iMovie tools that came with it. editing a clip, increase or decreasing audio, adding text and transitions are all as simple as clicking and dragging on the video where you want them. i know Microsoft has a simple tool too (is it moviemaker?), but I don't have any experience with it.
81 back-bore; 17 throat (drill) ... both pieces are excellent in my world. I have owned the Marcinkiewicz Concert Hall and I presently play the Monette Prana.
Both nice; however the Monette gets my vote. YOU gotta teach me how to do all this fancy stuff on the video like make the words slide onto the screen etc.
LOVE the adjectives.
Like comparing Chocolate Cake with thick icing and sprinkles versus a hot piece of Apple Pie Alamode (sp?) ... just two different tools.

81 stands for the backbore size and the 17 is the throat size.
