  • @EastNewYorkPolyglot My thoughts exactly. This song came to mind for me just recently, when I had to bring what we had to an end. We weren't necessarily in an relationship, but for what it was, this song fit the situation.

  • yo they dont make music like this antmore

  • best song eva

  • another classic lol loveeeeeee it !

  • rofl XD Go on jermaine rock this shit!!

  • This is how you kick somebody to the curb

  • @Tennione72 And not get killed in the process!

  • This is a mature "break-up" song, no car window crashin, no tire slashin, just walk away and remember the good times and learn from the bad.....

  • @EastNewYorkPolyglot Preach it.

  • Too bad, this wasn't a big hit.

  • Before music got real bad, sometime in the late 80's, I loved this song by Jermaine and it's my favorite by him as a solo artist but oh, can't forget about "I Found That Girl."

  • This is some great music right here people.

  • Can't be mad at this old school joint sayin sum sh*t I can relate 2

  • Love this song so old school music it the good stuff

  • they played this on the radio the other day... I couldn't remember who it was by... but it sounded like Jermaine Jackson and I was right

  • I'm 22 80's BABY IM OL SKOOL ALLDAY EVERYDAY

  • Check out T.Michaels The way you look in them jeans ..

  • I am noting but old school

  • Im loving this no dislike thing :D

  • that's not grease on his hair.

  • like food, don't take it personal, judgement is just THAT personal this song means a lot to many who purchased the albums and followed the saga of a family or nothing but pure unadulterated genius, the ones who rose and those who didn't have everything to do with family dynamics. Jermaine stands his own like food everyone doesn't love anchovies or mushroom.

  • Jermaine's not my "Fave 5", but I've always liked this song the best of his post-J5 solo songs. He needs to focus on his own groove, not remaking his brothers' songs he wasn't involved in (Blame It On The Boogie).

  • @UrlsGrrl54 Blame it on the boogie is very fresh and sound really good. I like it better than the original. Jermaine can sing what the hell he wants. he wasn't on the original so it's good that he does it. I hope he covers all the rest of the jackson songs., he is a Jackson after all.

  • @Nickleby2 You must be joking, LOL! "Better than the original", "he's a Jackson", "I hope he covers all the rest of the Jackson songs" ; obvious statements from one that is obviously of the entitlement mindset. What about creating your OWN new songs, not riding the backs of others? Being related to someone more successful doesn't entitle people to the rewards of hard work done by others. That is not only an insult to The Jacksons (group), it's an insult to Jermaine, too. Who's next? Janet?

  • @UrlsGrrl54

You are very ignorant, arguing over brothers sharing songs. This song was written by a BRITISH song writer called MIKE JACKSON. He first made a hit with the song, the Jackson brothers heard it they asked if they could record it. SO The song was never a Jackson song in the first place. Since the Jacksons recorded it, TONS of artist have recorded the song. SO why theprotest because Jermaine records it. Many artist records each others songs Jermaine records family's. How childish!!!!!

  • @Nickleby2 Actually disregarding Wikipedia ( the site folks mistake as gospel),. I think the artists name is Michael O martin/ Jermaine Johnson!

  • This is the best song he ever made real smooth beat.

  • Damn I feel him on this song

  • @Truthnuff To the left to the left! Lol! Beyonce just made a typical female anthem! I guess Jermaine made a man anthem! And Plies...who knows!?

  • Classic jam by Jermaine. Produced by David Conley, and the late David Townsend from the legendary group "Surface".

  • @musiclover3928 you're right, this song definitely has that "Surface" sound to it

  • This and you like me dont you are my fave!!!

  • i heard this song after leaving a wedding. I left with my family back home thinking about a girl who knocked me off my heels. This song will forever inprint that feeling I had looking out the back seat window into the city lights during after midnight.

  • love a lot of JJ's songs. I thing MJ's star just overshadowed his. He really did put out some good songs. I agree that this one of those "it's not you, it's me" type songs. Love it tho.

  • First time hearing this but im 16 soo, but any way this is the stuff

  • this was and still is my jamMMMM whenever i hear it !!!!

  • Im glad i didnt have to wipe off a bunch of grease off my screen this time

  • @UTubeViwer84 I had to go back to read my comment! Yes, I know of Plies sampling Janet's song! I was just saying that Jermaine let women down a little easier than Plies does!

  • This is the Ultimate "Dumping a female" song.

  • @OhSoPaid He is a very "underrated" artist. Stop hating.

  • a great classic and relating an good message

  • His best song!

  • Didn;t like the Afro, didn't like the grease. I have no problem with either. Thank God he remained BLACK!.

  • @Truthnuff that was not called for

  • @deeluv232003 Oh YES IT WAS! It was NECESSARY AS ....

  • haha, more than anything, thank God he retained that wonderful voice :)

  • @OhSoPaid Nobody's reading your book!

  • Nice song didnt even kno this was him till i tag tha song

  • Because for years his head squeaked...

  • THIS IS HIS BEST....REAL MUSIC!!!

  • Where is the free mp3 download? Hardest song to fuckin find...

  • LOVE THIS!!

  • NOW THATS HOW YOU COME COLD ON A WOMAN.

  • jermaine gave her that rocket love.

  • now this is what you call music!!! they dont make em like this anymore!

  • This was actually a great song! I love this song so much! Get it Jermaine!

  • This is what's up!

  • My hair has waves on the sides but the top is kind of curly LOL....

  • This song made me believe that Jermaine was capable of sustaining a long, successful solo career. I guess it's not easy living in the shadow of your younger brother when he happens to be the greatest entertainer in recorded history...

  • @RAV52

    AMEN!

  • Great song but I have to agree with DraggAddams about the song's message. I remember a lot of guys in my area adopting the song's message to heart. This song became their model for bedding, dumping girls all in the name of friendship without guilt or being labeled a dog.

  • @eluvre & @DraggAdams At least Jermaine made the song melodic to let someone down easily! Plies just gets raw with it: "Bust it Baby!" LOL!

  • @SightseerLounge No it was Janet Jackson's Come Back To Me that they sampled for that song!

  • @UTubeViwer84 really?? Im trying to hear it in her song but i can't.

  • @skins4life21taylor just type in the song on Yahoo search engine

  • @SightseerLounge

Makes me very forgiving of Beyonce's " Irreplaceable!"

  • @eluvre lmao

  • Great song!

  • Nice song but is a fowl message banging a girl then telling her not to take it personal, then on top of that giving her a pep talk by saying, you have your life ahead of you someone else would appreciate you more than I lets just be friends, WOW

  • HIS BEST SONG BY FAR

  • This is my joint !

  • - I Love This Song.! ♥

  • マイケルもいいけど、兄ちゃんの曲も最高です。

  • i love this song but Jermaines hair looks like a Ken doll....so plastic and shiney...hahahahahaha!!!

  • ANOTHER FAVORITE CLASSIC FROM JERMAIN JACKSON! LOVE THIS SONG!~ WORDS ARE SO DEEP!

  • classic

  • say what you want, clown them all you want, but you can't ignore the fact that the jacksons have talent.

  • There is nothing like the old school.

  • luv thiis song

  • why the hell does he put so much grease in his head

  • @ahsdhhsffsfsddsf

you made me laugh when you said that he put too much grease, that was back in the day.

  • @ahsdhhsffsfsddsf i wonder the same thing

  • @ahsdhhsffsfsddsf Hahahahahahahahaha! He still has that same hairdo!

  • @ahsdhhsffsfsddsf his hair's unusual activator gel and grese wavy sides curly fro.

  • @ahsdhhsffsfsddsf You decided that there was too much grease! I think this particular hairstyle is fine. I prefer it to the gelled up stringy hair that was all the rage back then. I really like it compared to the buzzed up baldness! Just how much mouse does a person need?

  • @ahsdhhsffsfsddsf it's the '80s what u expect!

  • This is the cut! too bad he got overshadowed by his younger brother MJ...did yall know that he(MJ) felt that JJ was his best friend...love this song!

  • you should not concentrate on mj being da more popular one,...i mean you are listening to his music right?....at da end of the day, jermaine had his own folowing...you and i both know that : )

  • PARDON MY FRENCH BUT...FUCKING CLASSIC.A GREAT SONG WITH A MESSAGE.TAKES A PERSON TO GO THRU SOMETHING

  • I wonder if this was to Hazel, his ex wife?

  • omg this my song!!!!!! i love it yayyy *don't take it personal!

  • My fave song by Jermaine.

  • He is the finest man in the family.

  • @soleildugabon You got that right!

  • Great song....huge fan of the Jackson Family!!!!!!

  • He is so sexy but hednt look better than mickey
