Yokeup isn't going to critically look at his faith. Because he's scared that he'll become what he's been fighting against, an Atheist. He's working so hard against Atheism that at this point he just wouldn't have the balls to question. I can say from experience that questioning ones beliefs is a liberating way to grow. I shed Christianity and I feel great. But to people like Yokeup, faith is a crutch. He could walk without it but he's scared to try.

Christ is used way to much for a 'get out of jail' card. I believe in forgiveness but I don't believe in being a coward when it comes to truly owning up for your mistakes. 'Being only human' means that too. Great video rebuttal.

It depends on how they are using the "only human" argument....if it's to say Hey I mess up too, just because I'm a Christian doesn't mean I'm perfect, then whats wrong with saying that? Christ taught that rather than continue sinning we humble ourselves and repent and not go back, it's the not going back thats the difficult part.
If one is using that just so they can do something they know is wrong...then yeah bad argument.

This is my opinion and experience on mistakes or 'sins'. If you truly care about those that you wrong you will (emphasise will) do everything, re-think, re-tool, re-route what you do. No it's not easy but it can be done. If a dirt poor person can use their will to make millions of dollars by educating themselves on how and then finally get what they've strived for. Then we can end the negative we do. Obviously, it takes work. Perfect? No. Too many excuses, yes. Tis all I sayin. Nice response.

I'll just go ahead and say sometimes my own beliefs come straight down to faith, and the evidences for my faith may or may not be deemed "intellectual" by you or other atheists but my faith is exactly that....faith....because of Christs evidence in my life as well as this world, simply put.

.....assumptions assumptions...it's exactly like I said.....evidence wars only go back and forth and basically never end....I say this from experience not because I'm a coward. I'm a full time student of 18 who is married and has many responsibilities and I tend to get caught up in these things....and it takes alot of time. Also, as an atheist your completely closed to any evidence I would show you of creation science or anything of that matter....as I said something learned from experience.

I've read all sorts of stuff on evolution.....nothing has convinced me of it. I know there are some Christians who believe that God set evolution into motion and they dis-regard the "big bang" but I'm purly a creationist.
