  • Finest in German Engineering and so true when you say that an Air Cooled Engine must take time to warm up before driving.

At 1:46 you have a dent on the Right Front Wing in exactly the spot where I have a dent on the same panel of my 68 Bug.

Your Bug sounds strong and mighty.

    Awesome.

  • @jorologo Thanks! it's got dents on the rear fender too that was caused by ice falling off a roof when it was parked next to a garage in winter. i've got more recent videos of this car if you search my videos, and i'll be having more coming up :)

  • Stewarts! You must here in NY

  • The mark of a real air-cooled VW owner. He lets the engine warm up first!

  • Yes! thank you!

  • lol i always wondered where the gas tank was on those damn cars. lol is there enough space to put some decent size sub woofers in there?

  • Comment removed

  • lol, sure, behind the back seat

  • I remember that my dad told me that these cars got 2 position on air condition. Cold and Ice cold :D Only when the temperature was below -10C (14F), maybe his car were broken or something. :D

  • Hahha^^ yeah I'm planning on making an updated driving video when we get nice weather, I had to cut this one very short because at the time youtube only allowed 100 mb videos, and I didn't know you could compress them :P

  • classic VW didn't have air condition back then. i have a 1970 VW they only had heat. the engine is cooled by air not water. they do have air condition kits for the VW but they are very expensive last time i checked

  • Find the gears dont grind em love! I just love the sound of aircooled... I drive along with a big smile on my face in my bug... my vdub mates understand but my straight mates have no idea what I am on about! sad or what! lol

  • It´s nice classic. =)

  • Great video. Truly a nice car. I perfer a Volvo.

  • Thank you! I love volvos too BTW ^^

  • This vw is awsome!:) (o\!/o)

  • Thanks! haven't had a comment in a while on this vid ^^

  • I absolutely love when my VW winds down when I turn it off. Can hear every cylinder motion to the very last one.

  • Absoloutely!! ^.^

  • YESS!! A 66... all these ones till 67 are fuckin great :D

  • yup, I agree 100% I love it :D

  • when i was 11 years old I learned how to drive a car with manual transmission in a 96 mex bug (1600i), when we were in Mexico for holidays :D

So the bug was my "first" car xD (here in germany we can only drive with 18 years :( )

Whatever, my father drove a 72' 1200 Bug as his first car, when he was young :D

So since then, I have to like Bugs a lot....

  • Nice :) in US the driving age is 16

  • I know... And I'm jealous :D

  • well the drinking age is 21 ;)

  • oh that sucks :D here you can drink beer and stuff with 16 and harder alcoholic drinks like wodka with 18

  • I like the beetle. 66 and 67's are my favorite years for the vw beetle. I like the song, who is it by?

  • Sniffin the tears "Drivers seat" a one hit wonder of the 70s

  • Is it titles has a 1966 ?

  • yes it is 1966, the previous owner put the different engine in it.

  • is that the original 1300cc engine ?

  • No, 1500cc 1967 Engine :-)

  • Great video. You did a great job filming while shifting, and putting on turn signals and steering.

  • Thanks! I thought so! :D
