@pokecon14 Wow, thanks! I always figure out these tunes by ear. However, now and then when there's a part that's really fast or just hard to hear I use a midi file to slow down the track or listen to it without all the other instruments. Even when there are tabs available I don't use them since figuring out songs by ear improves your musical hearing and knowledge of scales and the fretboard a lot.

And my guitar teacher, who has been playing for longer than I have even been alive, has to slow down songs to figure out some solos (You Could Be Mine, Goofy Goober Rock (GO SPONGEBOB!) Sweet Child O' Mine). There are just some things too hard to hear without altering the audio. I have been trying to play some of these, and they are phenomenal. Excellent job.

@gabocarina96 Thanks, glad you like it! Well, it's all in the name: EZ drummer, get it ;) Seriously, EZdrummer is in fact really easy to use once you get the hang of it (which doesn't take too long). I'm really happy with the plugin and I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a good sounding drum sequencer that doesn't require you to be a programmer...

@mexicanmaggot666 Wow, thanks! For the acoustic guitars I used a standard C tuning indeed, but only for the strumming parts. For the arpeggios I used a really weird tuning of which I don't even know what it's called... From low to high it's C, F, Bb, Eb, A, D. All the electrics are in standard tuning but I used my 8-string on which has an added low B and F# string. I believe I didn't use the F# string on this one though.

@MyBloodOath I wouldn't say the Schecter was cheap indeed (around €1,000) but I feel I really got great value. The 8-string still is kind of rare so they don't come cheap and it pretty much has the perfect wood, construction, hardware and electronics for me. If I were to get a custom guitar, it would probably have the exact same specs as the Schecter so I'm extremely happy with it.

Classical guitarists only play with their fingers and as far as electric guitar goes it seemed to have worked pretty well for players like Mark Knopfler, Wes Montgomery and Jeff back, just to name a few. It also gives you a really nice tone so if you don't want to use a pick, that's totally fine.

@VanTX89 Glad you like it so far :) I would love to use some different scenery in future videos but it's pretty difficult to record anywhere else than in my room where I have all my gear. FamilyJules7x actually had to drag his entire setup outside to record his Super Mario 64 Credits cover... Maybe I'll try recording outside in the summer for an acoustic song.

@shakespearebunnies Just record yourself playing a certain part on that certain instrument while having your cover playing in the background. Then it's all about editing and synching

@shakespearebunnies Basically that's just multi tracking. I record one part of guitar over a click- or drum track, then create a new track, record a different part and repeat that process until I have the whole song.
