can some1 tell me why ppl think a bunch of lights going off all at the same time is spose to look good, it doesnt, too much going on...now there is potential here with these good lights but not all going at once,,i would sooner have less lights than having so many doing god knows what?? or atleast scatter them around the warehouse in a somewhat uniform look and use a dmx machine....this is just a clutter of lights to me, arrange them to look good..I could use 1/2 of them and still make it better
i agree... it seems like he has a dmx board but... what looks good for me may not look good for other and what may sound good tome may sound bad to others.... great system... thoug..
This is one incredible set-up, however I think you need a couple wash lights in a place like this, how many people walked into that pole that I saw in the first video? Haha
awesome lights guys il give you that, and no matter what anyone says, its always worth it to lug it around, even in 3 cars! only you guys have this huge light rig, with a fairly dodgy sound system, and surely, the sound is more important........ not that the sound is lacking, just doesnt look like very good wuality stuff, which was more expensive?
I use JBL and Cerwin Vega speakers, they are not cheap. At this event we took all Cerwin Vegas, mind you that they are the older models and are meant for concerts. Inside the warehouse the music bounced and echoed but it still sounded great. Both lights and sound is equally important and equally expensive.
fair enough, they are important, but personally sound is a little more for me, personal choice really. Not sure what control stuff your runing, but i found the DBX driverack 260 to be amazing good at taking out almost all slapback and echo from pretty much any acoustically challenged room, simply by setting up a special mic and pink-ing the room for a few minutes.
Great light show. For the laser do you set the beams to go straight room or more to the ceiling? I want to make sure I have them set up correctly. Thanks.
Hey, I'm a DJ too but im only 12 (lol) and wow! You guys are amazing!!! So far, my setup is pretty simple (ADJ Vertigos, Aggressors, etc) and I was wondering, what type of lasers do you have? I was thinking of buying a Chauvet Scorpion LGX but It seems like your lasers are pretty tight. Model please?
He uses a non DMX "TANG" brand laser bought on the TANG ebay store. Search for "TANG Laser" on ebay and you will find it. Its a high MW laser that requires a variance. If that bothers you then stick to the Scorpian. I'm probably going to buy something like he did as the USA disco light importers are too scared to sell decent ones.
$50 per hour for house parties and $100 per hour for hall parties. For bigger events (promoters) we take a percentage of what is made at the door. I don't offer packages like others, we always take enough equipment based on the size of the venue. Our display sells itself and keeps us busy with parties and gigs.
What kind of vehicle to you haul all that stuff in? How long did that take you to set up? That fog looked pretty thick, have you ever triggered a fire alarm or set off sprinklers with that stuff?
For this event we had 2 Vans and a Pick-up Truck. 3 vehicles following each other. It took 30 minutes to start the sound system and 2 hours (3 people) for the light show and 4 people to crank the truss. The fogger is water based, it will not trigger alarms or sprinklers but people THINK it will. Take a look at the video response.
I saw the unplugged version, but when you say the fogger is water based to mean it is a hazer or a mister or you mean you just use water based fog juice?
Water based fog juice. I remember that the earlier foggers would set off fire alarms and sprinklers. I have yet to set off anything, and at the Radisson we fill the entire place with fog and they have plenty of smoke alarms and sprinklers. Old Hazers used to be oily/greasy but new Hazers work great.... but are very expensive.
i think i just had a stroke.
