yea but the thing is you live in america and you only get grades when you do tests

where i live we have test plus every month have to go up in front of the blackboard and answer the teachers questions

sometimes they will ask you questions from the whole year

im in highschool

so is it true that the only way students in america ggrades is by doing tests ?

@cockatooadam we also get our grades from assignments, presentations, exams and sometimes oral tests as well :) But I'm a high school student in Canada so I'm not too familiar with what goes on in the USA but thats how it is in my school :)

@l0venancy this is 2 weeks old but it's exactly the same. with midterms in the middle of the year covering 1st semester and finals may cover all year or 2nd semester depending on the teacher.

@ForFunGaming Aww I know exactly how you feel :) But it's important to never compare yourself to others. Their weaknesses may be your strengths! Don't give up, just believe in yourself and they'll come :)

How hard do you work? Could it be something else? Aww, I can relate to you. I'm out of high school and still so many others do better than me even if I study harder. If you feel like your effort levels have HUGE gaps between your grade, consider a learning assessment? It turned out I had a learning problem.

The best advice I have heard is that - even though others may do better than you, appreciate your journey. Say your brother spends 10 minutes study, you need about 50 minutes. Your train rides are different, the one that takes longer can enjoy the view. The other will skip the view. And it does not make you stupid, just different. It will help develop patience.

And if I pratice at my weaknesses, I get better, by alot. In first grade I was the worst when it came to reading stuff, but I praticed, and by second grade I could read HUGE words AND was reading with passion. In second grade, I could not spell at all. Then I praticed, and now Im the best speller in the class. Now my weakness math. Now Im in this math program, and Im somewhat faster and accurate. I wonder how this will turn out..
