I'm an atheist and a liberal. I did my three years in the US army many years ago, like 1965-68, during the Viet Nam War era. I love my two terriers and keep out of trouble. Let's do this with illegals that want to stay here, with or w/o anchor babies. Reopen all the closed military bases, house them , feed them , and train them for active duty. After being sent to war zones, if they make it thru, then they can come back as US citizens.

The Tea Party is a grass roots movement of American citizens whose objective is to defend the US Constitution just as all elected officials are sworn to do but have failed to perform as such! Deportation of "ILLEGAL' aliens is not the answer to all of the Country's problems but it certainly is a good start. Entering the country illegally is a crime and the failure to enforce the immigration laws of our country is unacceptable. Diversity is welcome, invasion should not be condoned.

I read about all the perks our elected officials on the hill have given themselves over the years. What they get that we citizens have no access to is shameful. One example: Sen. Byrd's family will get his full $193K salary even though he died and is no longer in office. That is shameful for the taxpayers of WV. We definitely need to hold them all accountable all the time. I care about the future for my children and grandchildren.

I'm an atheist and a liberal. I did my three years in the US army many years ago, like 1965-68, during the Viet Nam War era. I love my two terriers and keep out of trouble. Many times I get a good laugh watching old Three Stooges films on TV. I like Chicago style hot dogs, but I've always liked women, they're so cuddly and warm, just what I need on a cold January night.

Meanwhile our country has a need for cheap unskilled labor but immigration policy has not met that need. Nativism dressed up as "respect for law and order" is an ugly fad from resentful people who don't like the demographic trends in this country. Those people didn't wilfully break the law yet TP'ers think it is just to export them to a troubled country they don't even remember. This indicates to me that the movement isn't about justice, freedom or even legality, but bullying and a shallow sense of entitlement. This country is the home of others as well as myself.

@agalligani Justice sometimes is painful. Their Parents broke the law and that will make them liable for the results of their actions. My father was a dirt farmer(have a song coming out about him) and we almost starved to death. Nine children!! We had to live the results of his choice. Let's do this with illegals that want to stay here, with or w/o anchor babies. Reopen all the closed military bases, house them , feed them , and train them for active duty. After being sent to war zones, if they make it thru, then they can come back as US citizens.

I'm not disagreeing with you - I feel that the Government can be trusted if we elect trustworthy and competent people. It's not enough to just elect someone who is Tea Party approved - anyone can talk the talk and pander to the Tea Party. Even the Prez is doing it now. But to improve things you have to look at policy and what works and not simply make it about character. Make it about results.

The Medicare was forced on us and they've stolen every nickel in it, along w/Soc.Sec. we PAID into. The Tea Party is a grass roots movement of American citizens whose objective is to defend the US Constitution just as all elected officials are sworn to do but have failed to perform as such! Deportation of "ILLEGAL' aliens is not the answer to all of the Country's problems but it certainly is a good start. Entering the country illegally is a crime and the failure to enforce the immigration laws of our country is unacceptable. Diversity is welcome, invasion should not be condoned.

I read about all the perks our elected officials on the hill have given themselves over the years. What they get that we citizens have no access to is shameful. One example: Sen. Byrd's family will get his full $193K salary even though he died and is no longer in office. That is shameful for the taxpayers of WV. We definitely need to hold them all accountable all the time. I care about the future for my children and grandchildren.

@Renosmom It is also unconstitutional! They aren't to have benefits etc. that the common citizen doesn't have. Talk to everyone you know and let's start making them accountable to US. Love your song, your performance, your voice, Joyce. I can't wait for Nov. 2 to start the process of taking back America. I'm in my 60s and see what is happening - it's not good! The Reps have their problems but what these Dems are doing is far worse. They're supposed to represent We the People and they're representing themselves. My husband keeps a copy of the Constitution on his desk in his home office. We need to return to common sense.

If we hold them accountable even after the election, the next election will be more honest. Our job is ongoing and we dare not let our guard down. @massageboy24 Just being old doesn't make you smarter! If that was the case then your music career would be much more successful than most of the top country musicians today. I respect the new generation so much more because they know how to embrace where they come from and embrace an evolving world at the same time. I also have respect for some older country artists like Dolly Parton and Reba for being able to embrace more modern ideals.
