Over about a two year period, my friend and I would study, talk, smoke, argue, laugh and share our fears and hopes. I gained true respect for Bible Doctrine and disciplined study. my mother grew up in miami following a pastor that worked with the collonel and when i reached god conscienceness, she introduced me to his teaching. all i ever had were books and tapes in a time when miami was and still is filled with legalism and is suffering economic desaster because of it. to say that Thieme changed my life would be and understatement. he truly was a spiritual leader and a gift from god that we recieved by His grace alone. i can only pray that his legacy will live on.

Although I turned away from it and later had many reservations about much of what I had learned, I am bound to say that it helped me and I always felt deep respect for the Colonel. God bless him.

my mother grew up in miami following a pastor that worked with the collonel and when i reached god conscienceness, she introduced me to his teaching. all i ever had were books and tapes in a time when miami was and still is filled with legalism and is suffering economic desaster because of it. to say that Thieme changed my life would be and understatement. he truly was a spiritual leader and a gift from god that we recieved by His grace alone. i can only pray that his legacy will live on.

my life was changed too, and continues to be improved from a real foundation of learning TRUE doctrine about our God, the God-man, Jesus Christ. The colonel has affected so many of us so deeply.

Col. Thieme Jr. was a superb "commander" of the Berachach Batallion. He precisely communicated Bible Doctrine with perfect tone, cadence, and snap. In his matchless syle, I can imaging hin looking down from heaven shouting, "FALL IN (i.e. do not forsake assembling yourselves), CONTINUE THE MARCH (i.e. advance to spiritual maturity), AT EASE (i.e. maintain a relaxed mental attitude), and REST (i.e. faith rest & application of doctrinal rationales). And finally,
FOLLOW THE COLORS!!!

Interesting. This was the first class I heard in person at Berachah. The day I first moved and arrived in Houston was the day the Colonel was struck, so I didn't know Bible class had been cancelled.
