@chenggik24 There were 71 of them - that's more like an undermanned company (80 to over 200 is the norm). A squad is only between 8 to 13 men (maybe even smaller in some cases).

These are brave high school kids, people may think they're kids but they aren't. These are young brave men who fought to defend a hq, they died with dignity and honor. May they rest in peace..... although it maybe a fake story.

@billywilliambob The sequence maybe, the fact that they all died and that they were able to delay North Korean troops is a fact. When they looked over the area, the found a whole bunch of letters that weren't sent in one of the soldier's pockets, detailing the situation. They really were highschool students.

Just like the Us and Russian fight, look at the weapons, the m1 garand, the ppsh-41, the gun with the disk on it, the mosin nergant, molotovs, m1 grenade, the German pistol P39 is also cool. Good movie, love it^^

it's A GREAT MOVIE BUT THE MOVIE DOESN'T REALLY GET INTO THE EMOTION OF THE AUDIENCE. "TAE GUK" IS BETTER BECAUSE THE THE MOVIE REALLY DIG DEEP DOWN INTO THE EMOTION OF THE AUDIENCE. IT THINK MORE PEOPLE CRY WHEN THEY WATCH "TAE GUK" THAN "71-INTO THE FIRE" PLUS WON BIN IS A BETTER ACTOR AND HE CAN REALLY PORTRAY THE SAD MOMENT OF HIS CHARACTER. WON BIN AND HIS LEAD ACTOR REALLY BRING OUT THE SAD MOMENT OF THE KOREAN WAR. 71-INTO THE FIRE IS GOOD BUT NOT GREAT DUE TO LACK OF EMOTION.

I don't want to take Sides, but was this movie made in honor for South Koreans. I mean you people think so stereotypical of North Koreans. It was Soviets and Americans that mostly influenced both sides...Even in the movie you can see the supplies and weapons!
