I've heard the version on the Atari 800 computer is very good. 2600 is very bad, there's a "Donkey Kong" ripoff by a company called Tiger ("King Kong") on the 2600 and even that game is better.
Yes the 7800 verison just has worst sound, but its still a great game like the nes version, one thing I like about the 7800 is its spread out pixel graphics, not everyone likes it, but I do.
If the SEGA Master system had Donkey Kong, it would have had New Visuals and Sound and probably an Extra Stage where you fight Donkey Kong. The SMS always added little things to Arcade Translations
There was no official 5200 version but there's an unoffical port of the Atari 800 version though (the 5200 uses the same hardware as the Atari 400/800 series computers) It has the cement factory level.
the 5200 had a donkey kong, but it still only had 2 levels also, but everything was reversed, the princess was on the right side, and Donkey Kong's noise, was deafenin, but it showed the ending.
C64 had all levels!

Who ever posted this is wrong!!! NES does not have all the boards from the original game. The Pie Factory is not on this version.

Q*Bert on Atari was another one that was close to the arcade version. Maybe even closer than Donkey Kong...

Actually, the NES version does not have all levels. It's missing the cement factory.

Even the ColecoVision cartridge version omits that level.
