There are a lot of comments about pools being safe for dogs. The answer is yes. Small amounts of chlorine will not harm your dog. It may irritate their eyes and/or skin but hopefully you can trust your dog to know when they have had enough. Just to be on the safe side, hose them off after a swim if you like. Non-chemical pools are also an option. We have a chem/salt free pool and and I would recommend it not just for your dogs but for people as well.

do they ever accidentally drink pool water? is it bad for them? I want to take my husky to the pool too, but I get scared that she'll drink it instead!

@wildstyled i dont believe it is dangerous for them - i guess its like us if we accidentally drink it we are ok. i've seen them drink a little of it and they are fine. :)

@wildstyled if the pool isnt overly chlorinated it can actually be very good for them because the chlorine will kill off fleas, ticks, or any kind of bugs on them. If you feel comfortable swimming in it they will be fine too :)
