Yeah much better than the tattered out EMT Class 158 that I got for the journey back - First Class had been declassified but I didn't think it was even up to standard class standards really.
Yeah I have heard that too - Maybe it's different as I was pretty tired from a lot of walking at the time and I was only on it for around 20 minutes but my impression from that was that they were indeed pretty comfy.
I found the seats to be the most comfortable of any DMU I have ridden on except for declassified First Class seating on XC170s. It was also a lot more comfortable than the Voyager I was on earlier in the day which was strange because the seats are usually top notch in those. They were also a lot quieter inside than I expected. One thing about the 185s though - The doors shut quickly with a sharp bang - would hate to get caught in them!

Great video. Very familiar to me as I regularly go between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly. Always try and get as ride on a 185 too.
