so so sad that rick james is a joke now. chapelle is the man, but he completely ruined rick james' name, and the worst part is that rick james couldn't manage to get together with neil young and do some more motown hits. they could have completely blown everyone away in their time, and they somewhat did .

The Mynah Birds were good, but if they hadn't broken up, there would have been no Buffalo Springfield, no CSNY, or no Stone City Band. It all worked out for the best.

Rick loved the attention he got from the Chappelle Show skit. He had a stroke during a comeback tour in 1997, and had more or less been forgotten. Check out the movie "Im Rick James" to learn more about him.
Rick sold millions of albums and had tons of hits in the 70's/80s. He found god, loved himself and his life when he passed, you don't need to feel sorry for him, man.
