because it was a junk overcammed engine that was in the car when i got it.cam was 260-270 at .050 with 9:1 compression and thats why it was such a pos motor. new motor was a 383. check out my videos.
advance the timing a tad, richin the carb at idle. im running a 355 with 2.02 double hump heads,torker II intake, holley 670 street avenger, timing is 10 deg base, i put a .35 discharge nozzle, and the 24cc cam for the carb, it runs pretty damn sweet. about 13.2 1/4 mile. not sure what the gears are, maybe 3.55 or 3.73. i tach 2500rpm at 55mph with 25 inch tires, so im not sure.

what?? timing was set and carb was already rich. how do people think they can tune a engine by listening to a online video??

Have you run it yet? I have a 1979 camaro that I'm putting a 355 into but with tunnel ram intake and dual carbs.

yes I did, but With a different engine, the one in this video was a overcammed 350. previous owner lied about a lot of things.
