@idioticstudiogames That is exactky what I was saying. In fact, I didn't mention the fact that it's gameplay is repetitive as Hell. At least Black Knight had the sword for attacks and Unleashed had the 30 Werehog combos. Generations was better and had more side content, but it was still pitiful compared to Unleashed as I see it. Some good ideas and a great premise, but horrible execution.

@XLinkflamesX I bet if the Werehog wasn't in the series and made from a new IP, it would've either been critically acclaimed or had decent reception. But as it was added to mix up the gameplay of the Sonic series, everyone's like "oh noez, dis sux". Just why? Where's the logic in this? Games are meant for fun, not whining about changes. Fearing or hating changes, especially in games, just damages the industry and creative aspirations.

i dont care what IGN or any other review site or show said about Sonic and the black knight. it did not deserve all the hate it got. it has story, it has the sonic level design that is a trademark of the series. the only thing they added was Wii controlls wich i THINK is the whole reason IGN decided to knock it. because its a Wii third party game. they are biased towards ANY third party software on Wii and so is every other reviewer. notice how the mario games keep reinventing themselves?

Oh come on, no sonic doesn't do the same thing at all. Mario, adding space/gravity based gameplay to the already well established/perfected formula of platforming is awesome.

Making you fish as a big retarded cat, treasure hunting, giving sonic a sword (which does NOT fit Sonic) and glitchy gameplay and taking out loops/slopes does not equal innovation and being different in a good way.

We don't like these games, the orginals and Sonic Colours/Generations are awesome, the others can suck it.

There is no harm in any change in Sonic whatsoever, other than Sonic 2006. katana1361 is right, IGN usually praises Mario for their continuity, and when Sonic even makes a mere attempt at changing anything, like Sonic Unleashed, IGN completely annihilates the game with negative criticisms.
