  • I'm planning to move there in 2012. I can't wait!! I've heard so many great things but also scary things about the weather. How is it? I'm from California and I am curious of the change of the weather.

  • I actually dream of going to Denver but at the moment I dont have the means and resources to. It shall be my lifes goal. I promise myself and everyone living there. Oh foolish me but I shall say it with pride and vigor "DENVER HERE I COME!!!!" Please support me with some thumbs!

  • I miss it there so much it is really beautiful.

  • long live denver!!!!

  • awesome cant wait till march going to branson mo on frontier airlines and have a 3:15 layover in denver love the music too

  • Moving to Denver in April 2011, can't wait to get there.

  • This is my hometown. I miss it soo much

  • I lived there for a year in 1999, saw millennium new year's there. Came from Minneapolis, now in Phoenix, my wife and I hope to move to Denver after school in March 2011. I miss the mountains. Is that cross in the mountains looking out at Denver still lit up at night?

  • THIS VID SUCKS

  • Cool video. I moved from England 6 years ago. Live in Aurora now. But, thinking of moving downtown.

  • 4 all the ppl out their I live there and there is 2 much gangstars and crimes but awesome place

  • @halfapotato - Dude, I've been here since 86(ish) - came here from Los Angeles.

    There is almost NO gangster/crimes.

    It's all thuggy wannabes.

And it's so low that the Gov. & his liberal henchmen are causing more crime & damage than the thuggy wannabees!

    :D

  • @tyeporter what is crime like in Denver Colorado? I live in Omaha Nebraska and I hear on the news shootings everyday. Is it like that in Denver?

  • @osamabindrinkin40s Crime is almost non-existent in Colorado, at least compared with the rest of the nation.

We have some crime but women are still walking around at night wearing next to nothing in almost every neighborhood in the cities.

So it can't be that bad!

  • @tyeporter dude there is like shootings here in Omaha, NE like almost everyday. They had school shooting here and then the next day there was a shooting at a Shell Lube Quick Station and somebody got killed there also. And Denver is bigger then Omaha.

  • @tyeporter lol, we're the exact opposite mate; I moved from Denver to Los Angeles.

  • @halfapotato nah, denver's super safe. there's really nothing about the city that makes it ghetto or gangster like. denver's my home, but i call albuquerque home for the time being, and believe me - come out here and live. it's like night and day. there's really no bad place in denver. believe me, i worked with heroin addicts and the like in denver and do the same here, and it's way rougher here. any city is worse than denver. crime's a rarity vs other cities standards.

  • i miss denver so much, i like to go back there. i lived in denver for three years. once i'm back in town, i won't go away.

  • Denver does look like a beautiful city......

  • que bonita ciudad....., teneis que ver un video que se llama MURCIA CRECE, you watched this in youtube, and you speak about , and in rabocsenitran videos

  • Where should i live in denver or around their. im going to be an air traffic controller and i want to work at denver international airport. i love the city like being able to go to the malls and shop. but i just the same love the outdoors and fourwheeling and snow machining and offroading with my trucks. can someone help me out?

  • I go to Denver all the time. But I live in Thorton, Colorado. i LOVE COLORADO!

  • Yea~ Denver~! I live in Aurora and it's lots of fun~ I like going downtown though~ ♥ I've lived here ALL my life~

  • Denver FTW

And 10 Stars for Jesus Freaks!!!

    REJOICE

  • Gasp! YEA! ♥

  • @KitLeeYami

oh dear i will come soon to denver hope live there for ever

  • One of my favorite U.S. cities!

  • denver sucks, no beaches, the summers are atrocious, all you can do is sweat, always catching a cold there, the weather very erratic, and the suburbs are awful, especially Highlands Ranch, every single house looks the same, very sterile and plain, and eastern colorado, what a joke. It is so barren and ugly.

  • @TheGbergh Colorado is awesome ._. i lived in it all my life. I would rather be here then in California. You've probably never even BEEN to colorado. You have guts to say that.

  • @YucieChangirl LOL I'm pretty sure he's been here. Highlands Ranch does suck and there is like nothing east of Aurora, he described it pretty well. Except for the atrocious summers, we really do have the most beautiful summers ever here.

  • Dude Denver is the Shit. There's so much to do there. Fuck man I live in Lincoln, NE there ain't a damn thing out here.

  • @TheGbergh im sorry u had a bad experiance in denver hope u could go back to denver one day and see it differently! it really is an amazing place.. ;D

  • I've said this before and i''ll say it again. Colorado is a gorgeous state to live in, but it is absolutely atrocious for single men. I kid you not, the entire state is one huge sausage fest. I would highly discourage any straight male from moving to Colorado or the city of "Menver" for that matter. If you go into any bar in Denver the guys will outnumber the gals from about a 20-1 ratio and the same can be said for the entire state as well unfortunately. But hey, to each his own I guess.

  • LOL Ok M8 who was she & what'd she do to you? Colorado Tourism Board reports that the ratio is nearly dead even 49/51 of men to women - THEY outnumber us (barely!)

I'm a DJ, the clubs, bars & venues I visit are always just the opposite - mostly women. Perhaps you've been visiting clubs that are dedicated to the "other" type of guy & not realizing it? Go to the straight clubs once you get over the ex - I think you'll find a more satisfying result. At least I hope you find that in straight clubs!

  • In california men outbumber women 27-24 in census.

  • @fmrndiguy2005 We do have a LOT of gay clubs here... It's an honest mistake lol

  • @fmrndiguy2005 lol ur not supposed to go to bars LMAO ur supposed to go to MALLS or coffee places u no where the Women GO!!! lol alot of ppl in denver dont like going to the bars because of crazy ppl there lol!!!! so maybe try the places i told ya n then take it on from there!!!! i moved away from denver n i miss it sooo much!

  • my boyfriend is from denver and he promise to bring me in denver!! oohh myyy im so excited as iv seen the beautiful places!! love it!

  • Hey I finally found a Colorado YouTuber. Just started this stuff on the tube and been trying to get friends to join in. So much for that plan. Anyway my husband and I are in Aurora. I was born in Denver and no idea what life out side it. Hope we run into each other.

  • There are a few of us.

    Welcome to YouTubia!

    *wave (from Denver)

So you've never been outta this state?

  • Oh I have traveled to other places but always lived in the Denver area.

I had to laugh when I heard that song. I use to know John Denver's mom. She went to a church close to our home.

It was a pain when he died because of the traffic through that area. My kids went to school in the church about a block away from where they had the services.

    She was really nice.

  • I recently moved away from Denver. If it all possible STAY THERE. Life on the outside is nothing like it should be D:

  • LOL, I have 2 kids that moved out of state. One is in Oklahoma and the other in California. Both said it's okay but it is nothing like Denver.

    Where did you move too?

I would really understand if it was like a busy city area.

We are in Aurora and it is rather quiet compaired to the Down Town Denver.

  • Hi, now this may seem a very stange question, but im from the UK and would love to come to Denver just for the rocky mounatins, i was just wondering what denver was like, on a lot of films it looks very country and western (like all wearing cowboy hats lol) is that just in films or is it really like that?? i told you it was a stupid question, i just really want to know lol thanks xxxxx

  • It depends on from where you're coming in the UK - Scotland is really like Colorado. The same weather, the same climate minus the ocean! In Denver you have a bunch of folks but as you move outta the city, it becomes rural and open countryside. And yes, folks wear hats, boots, belt buckles and say, "Ya'll" around here. It truly is the country throughout most of this state. It's very laid back, very relaxed and most everybody loves to get outta the house and do something.

    C'mon out and join us!

  • Im only coming out for a holiday, its my 18th birthday in october and i think my b-day present is to go to Denver, aww it sounds amazing! Ill have to get myself kitted out with the cowboy hats lol as i havent been or know anyone who has been, i was wondering if you could give me some advice on where abouts is the best place to go in Denver? as im sure there are alot of great places! n oh i live in Manchester in the Uk so im sure Denver isnt like Manchester haha Thanks for getting back to me x x

  • As your date gets closer, email me, call me or we can skype. There are a TON of great places to go. The snow has already covered most of the mountains and towns north and south of Denver. The number one suggestion I'll give you now so you can pack wisely: Pack COLD weather clothes AND Warm weather clothes. In equal measure. The wild thing about Colorado is we can be butt deep in snow one day and in a heat wave the next. And that's normal. :D
  • Well, Colorado is a Western state with a strong rural tradition, so you'll see some of that. But Denver itself is a very urban city, complete with museums, orchestras, operas, many, many parks, great shopping and dining, etc. And it's an extremely beautiful city, and somewhat laid back compared to some cities. But be careful: you might not want to leave. I came here from Texas, fell in love with it, and never left.

  • And Wikipedia has some good information on Denver, too, if you're interested.

  • My 1st time in Denver 2005 was great. Friendly people. Parks, open spaces pretty, public facilties clean and well maintained. People not so worried about social status as long as your OK. Every year it goes down a bit. More crime, more graffiti, vandalism to signs and public facilities but it's still good. West (and east) coast people moving in bringing some problems with them as well as status bullshit. Colorado outside Denver is the best. Beautiful scenery and friendly mtn towns.

  • I was born and raised in Denver. Lived in Aurora most of my life. I left in 1983 to go on the road with a band and never came back to live. I miss it, but one thing that will never come back-the original natives I was raised with were tight. It didn't matter what your status or neighborhood was. Sometime in the late '70's that changed. Status became much more important. Where you live. What you look like. Of course, I don't refer to everybody. But it did change. Ask any long term resident.

  • I've been here "long-term" - moved here in the 80's.

Came from a state and city (Los Angeles) where status means everything.

I can honestly say I don't see what you're talking about..

The fact that by 2000, native Californians outnumbered native Coloradoans by 2 to 1 (2000 Census) didn't seem to change the "neighborly", small town feel where everybody is freindly with everybody else.

  • The reason I say that is because I have lived in several places. Having lived in both the south and the midwest, it is not unusual to see people of all social level intermingling. That used to be the case in Denver, where Marvin Davis may very well be eating breakfast with the "common people". Of course, the social segregation isn't as bad as Cal., but it is still there.

  • I'm moving there next week end can't wait Look Out Rockie Mountain High !!!

  • Pretty much my favorite city in America, and I'm moving there next year =D

  • not the biggest city but amazing

  • Wow all i asked what percent of people lives in denver and i get the royal beheading. O.k people this is my reason i am a minority, plus i would love to live in a diverse place. second i am not a racist so please before the witch hunt goes out of control i just want answers.Wow people this is 2009 not the 1800.

  • I think we're offended that you are more concerned with the "minority count" than the people here or the job climate, etc.

It speaks volumes that you would ask that question - whether you meant to speak those volumes.

Whether it's 1800 or 2009, I pray you aren't a racist, black or white and that if you come to Denver, you celebrate life with the rest of us.

  • im 16, been here my whole life. CO is a great diverse place, unless you go to SUPER rich places like High lands ranch or smokey hill, mostley white. But Colorado really stereo typed to be a hill billey type of place, ITS NOT. Also, if your go to high school, DONT go to a denver public school, they are stupid as hell, go cherry creek or something else lol. Elitches, broncos, Nuggets, and 16th street mall are some fun laces to go here.

  • i live in denver it is the best!

  • hellz yea

  • best city

  • i am planning to move to denver but i want to know what's the percent of hispanics , african american and whites?thanks

  • Of the Americans living in Colorado, they are 100% American.

The last thing we are here is racist - nobody cares about percentages between those who are living here legally.

I can tell you that another 20% added to the legal population is illegal.

    That's a whole 'nother issue.

  • I live in Denver, are you serious? Does the percentage matter?

  • wow its beautiful is their any beautiful girls up their

  • lots

  • word yo im bout to get a car next week and take a rode trip with my boys

  • I love the city I guess, my dream for Colorado would be for Denver and Co Springs to eventually But I mean I have a 303 tat, I love Denver. If we had more names coming out of it, aside from bands like '3 OH! 3' (Gay) that'd be nice

  • Why do you have a tattoo of "303"? Are you telling me you are a follower and a gang member? Sorry but you have to expect that being that all originated out of LA with the gangsters

  • Na bro no gang, just representing my birthplace, Denver native all the way

  • Thats fine, I work in Law Enforcement in Colorado and have worked in Los Angeles, so just understand that many in both LE and gang members see that tattoo might get the wrong impressions!

  • Lets compare. Colorado: Beautiful, purple mountains and the red, orange and yellow sunsets straming in the sky. Not to mention the beautiful, mild, 70 degree days, and cool, relaxing nights. And the people are terrific.

New York: Mean, unfriendly, over priveledged snobs, with ugly polluted air and never ending days with all of the partying.

Please dont turn Colorado into New York

  • Hey now, NY has a redemning quality:

    XGoBoBeanX

So don't go bad mouthing NY all that much!

    :P

Besides, I could list at least one bad thing about Colorado:

    No XGoBoBeanX :(

Ok, that was funnier in my head.

    NY sux and Colorado rox.

    Settled!

  • Denver is terrible. We just had 2 ft of snow in April. I'd stay away. We're barely able to get around the city. ok. i lied. it melted the next day... but still...

  • Yeah, we just had 80° last week, 32° & 7" of snow yesterday and tomorrow it'll be around 75°.

    Go figure, right?

    Welcome to Colorado!

  • I'm from las vegas and omg I cant wait until i move to denver for college. =]

  • Denver needs to grow...I love the city but it needs more nightlife...a lot more, its so dead by 12 am...I love this city more than any...keep it growing...maybe just maybe we can be the next NYC

  • I understand that aspect of it. But the idiot developers here only see growth in terms of building more crap suburban tract homes (<---they will be foreclosed on anyways...) and strip malls (<--suburban homes and strip malls does not create more night life) instead of improving the downtown area.

  • Wait, didn't we just hear that the folks who own the Park Meadows Mall along with three others here in Colorado and more than 250 nation wide are filing for bankruptcy?

We have more mall space per capita here in Colorado than any other state in the Union.

  • You serious?

What kind of night life are you looking for? Never been to The Church or Beta or Vinyl or any of the 26 other clubs here?

  • There's nothing on the streets though, where's the actual Live City outside of Club walls

  • True... its better this way though considering if you think about how high crime would be if they didn't regulate shit as strictly though.

  • I love denver was born and raised there i live in D.C. now I'm in total culture shock

  • Why did you leave?

What could possibly be in DC that could pull you away from the little country village of Denver?

    Was it a boy?

    :D

  • I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado! I am in Fort Collins going to school but I love Denver and I am transferring back down to Denver to finish school! I love Denver it is a wonderful place to raise a family :)

  • Denver is such a fine city but the surrounding suburbs really suck ass especially suburban north denver where the new subdivisions are being built. Denverites should vote to control suburban sprawl before it takes up all the beautiful open spaces, causes severe traffic congestion (which already is happebnig) and Los Angelizes the place> I would hate for Denver to be Los Angelized (i come from there btw)

  • We're all from California - 2000 Census shows Native Californians outnumbered native Coloradoans 2:1 in this state.

Of course that's what's making this a better place - and the traffic better since we know how to drive!

    :P

  • I understand Californication is here to stay but the MISTAKES of Cali shouldn't be repeated here. I think Denver is ranked #2 worst traffic in the nation. There are some beautiful places in the state but some of them are being built over. IF the sprawl and traffic continues unbated, Denver in 10 - 20 years time will be just another place people will hate and want to nuke it (like Florida or L.A. or Detroit)

  • *sigh* home sweet home

  • denver rox !!!

  • Shhhh!!! if we give to much of the beauty away, people will want to move here!!

  • LOL

  • Haha, I don't even live there and I think that! (did visit once, would like to do it again.)

  • yeah, be quiet. I grew up in CO but live in NY now. People on the Subway always talk about moving to Denver. No! Denver's population is just right.

  • I Love Denver !!!! HWL III

  • I miss Denver soooooooooooo much Born and raised

  • i love Denver

  • y aparte yo vivi en denver like... 6 months !!

a little time but i loved it!

  • *Wipes tears from eyes* I was born and raised there. I love where I am but there is a magic there that can not be replaced. Happy memories.

  • I am right there with ya... Nothing can replace Denver, CO. I'm from there also, and am already homesick after 6 months...

  • I had the pleasure of working in Denver for 12 mths back in 93 - very happy memories - Wynkoop, Rockies baseball, Blue Bonnet etc. Now back in UK longing for a return to CO.

  • Indeed indeed. For people who have yet to come to Denver need to come in the winter when the Rockies are white with snow.

  • haha, I live 3 hours away... in fact, we're going there this weekend!

  • I applied to DU for fall of 2009 so I may be moving here VERY soon when I get accepted. It's absolutely gorgeous.

  • Denver, Colorado is damn close to a perfect city to live for a college graduate. I....kid....you...not! Been there in 99 and 03.

  • denver will be the new capital of the united states! look it up!

  • Where would it ever say that? Why would anyone make Denver the capital. I live in Black Forest, Colorado so I find it odd that anyone would think of it. Yet I will say Denver is a wonderful place.

  • I would imagine jiff8 is basing that off of the fact that Denver has more federal employees than any other city, besides D.C., also since Denver is so isolated geographically speaking, it would make sense.

  • Well I won't complain.

  • But man o man, what a beautiful city!

  • yeah!! i love to go on my vacations to visit my family... denver is a wonderfull place i love it!!

  • I love Denver and colorado I was born in denver but then I moved up to the moutines when I was one to Gypsum Colorado and who ever is moving to colorado you will love it it is an awsome place to live and once you move here you do not want to move out of colorado.:)

  • im moving to denver very soon, can't wait. :)

  • I'm from Denmark, Europe, and have a dream of going to the states some time and watch and experience the beautiful nature. The Rockies seem most attractive, and I'd like to se at lot of mountains and forests - so I'm thinking about going to either Utah or Colorado..

  • Either State, I'd recommend coming in either March or August.

March you get the full impact of Winter and in August you get the darkest, lushest green Summer.

    Have fun!

  • you could do utah in the summer for the nice weather and colorado in the winter to experience the snow as white as a sheet of computer paper:)

  • denvers elevation is a mile above sea level. i used to live in littleton, aurora, centennial, and denver. colorado is to me beautiful but expensive to live

  • AMEN!

  • Good lord our city skyline is pathetic, so small! Given the oil industry was out here until the 80's you'd think we would have had a few more skyscrapers.....

  • Right?

Something about preserving their Mountain Skyline so that from anywhere along the Front Range you can look up and see this tiny little city of Denver nestled against the Rockies.

  • I used to live there and I miss it.

  • My husband and I are considering moving to Colorado, I didn't realize how beautiful it was until I saw this video. We are visiting May 23-June 2 so I am excited!

  • Perfect time of the year too!

It's not too hot yet (we just had snow here in Denver yesterday and a foot in the mountains) and everything is deep Spring Time green and bloomy.

Make a day of driving into the mountains to visit Vail, Silverthorne or even just Idaho Springs.

The one comment i found those people saying often was that the people here are really nice. It threw me off because i never even noticed that. Probably because i have been here my whole life and havnt been to many other states. So ya the people are nice! One of the healthiest states too!
