Kill your television! Get up and do something creative. (other than stalk celebrities in their half-a-million-dollar tour buses.)

Why not head out to your local "open mic" and support people in your area who are trying to get a start, or even make a living. Music programs are getting dropped from public schools everyday, yet people are glaring into the tube for an hour "idolizing" some random contestants who may or may not be talented, and then reveling in the embarrasment of the ones who don't cut it for the studio audience or celebrity judges. I don't even really know what goes on.. It's all so staged.

I don't watch network T.V. I didn't know who "Ace" was until I googled him after stumbling onto this video. I've always thought American Idol was ridiculous. There are so many good performers out there.
