  • Looking back on this wonderful group I must think about evanescence... There's no more ABBA, no more (in the story of the song) love and this one person isn't in my life anymore. I'm missing him and will wait until he comes back to me.

  • Still fantastic.

  • frida has such a soul in her voice.. it's beautiful.

  • At 0:58...she is flirting with me :)

  • Better than the actual record! Chilling!

  • War die beste Zeit im Leben / best time in life

  • die guten alten Zeiten......wie Geil

  • I agree with the general sentiment here - ABBA was one of the greatest groups that ever graced a stage. My first album in the '70's was "ABBA Gold". I listened to it until the grooves wore out!

Being a musician I can really appreciate the perfection in timing, intonation and harmony. Even their "live" performances were studio quality, unlike most other groups who are almost unidentifiable when performed live.

Would that I could go back in time....if only for a day.

  • :XD

  • frida was my idol when young. i was frida and my cousin was agnetha XD

  • este video e muito bom...........

  • No wonder she was the most sexy woman in universe. She is Norwegian..

  • @Brakballe Actually...Ms. Lyngstad's mother was Norwegian. Her father was a German soldier who impregnated her mother during the German occupation. She talks about how the Norwegian community shunned them even though it wasn't their fault. The German soldiers were encouraged to breed with the inhabitants of the countries that they were occupying during WW 2.

  • Perfect mixture between great hooklines, vocals and melancholy ... perhaps the best ABBA song!?

  • Beautiful song, attractive people, very unfortunate clothing. :D

  • I love the drummer tones it down in the middle and slows. It sounded PAINFUL. This went very well with the lyrics! Nice idea. The backup group is wonderful just like mackzzz said.

  • Hot is the only word I can think of when I see these two girls. Also, whe ABBA had their first in 1974 (Waterloo) they could barely speak English!! Today, after all the divorces, they barely speak to each other and WILL not sing together ever again.

  • there was a big local group in sweden that was calld NATURE. The best live band in sweden at that time.Never heard the blues better than they did on th clubs in stockholm.Amazing to se them all be the band behind ABBA on stage.

  • one of the best group ever

  • T A L E N T..........that my friends, is what you have witnessed here.

  • I love this live version. maybe even better than studio.

  • After more than 3,000 views, I still find this the most perfectly produced, written, choreographed, composed and performed song of all time. And it is LIVE!, Imagine that? There will never again be a group that has pleased, entertained, and instilled a sense of musicianship that ABBA has graced this world with. In the same class of Bethoven and Mozart for hundreds of years to come. Truly, just truly, the best of the very best.

    Thanks again, Shay!

  • right with you, abba was very amazing in studio than in live.....it s signs that it was and still perhaps, stayted one of the best band in the world......

  • @B52sguy Dear sir, hello. I believe Pink Floyd's "Echoes" Live in Pompeii is the best choreographed, composed & performed song of all time, if you have never seen it, check it out bro.

  • half live half studion :/

  • My god, how these two looked..

  • Those fucking white stretch pants are burned into my brain since the gaddamned 70s!!!

  • They have so many awesome songs, but this might be my favorite.

Sorta sad, but such a beautiful song. Frida does so awesome here as always.

I like how they even slow the tempo here.

  • Agnetha Fältskog är o förblir sveriges mest musik begåvad stjärna . Bara gå in ta toner rakt upp o ner. Har ingen klarat av om dom inte är skolade.

  • Almost like recorded but she was definitely doing it live. Frida rocks.

  • Her voice is so powerful... you can just feel the emotion.

  • Tänk så mycket skit abba fick i sverige på 70-talet,ja det är inte lätt o bli profet i sin egen hemstad !!! /During the 70`tis abba only did get shit from the media in sweden ??!! Paybacktime !

  • das lied ist toll nur könnte auf deutsch sein das mann richtig text verschtien kann !!!

  • Nice..... I like them all, but that dark haired one is kinda hot. :)

  • Frida has a mischievous air about her. <3

  • love this song

  • When I was 11 years old, I stood queueing for 5 hours with my father for tickets for the ABBA concert in Rotterdam. When the door of the vendor opened, the concert was already sold out. I was heartbroken and I am still not over it.

  • STUNNING lead vocal. I always thought Agnetha provided the main vocal power and was the heart of the ABBA sound but this makes me reconsider my opinion...

  • Bah voll das Dreckslied bitte sofort entfernen!

  • thanks for this beautiful memories ABBA forever!!

  • Frida is a study in grace, warmth, talent, personality and beauty.

  • Great Great song. I LOVE it the most! Best band in the world.!

  • i wish abba would do a reunion concert it would make me very happy and other abba fans as well

  • Le classique absolu d'Abba

  • Love the song, but it seems to throw it way off when they play it slower like that.

  • I love that xilophone at this song. It always makes me cry...

  • how glad that i am that i lived in the 70,s

  • No difference with the studio track...amazing

  • I love this version where they slow down the tempo. Frida sings it very soulfully and beautifully. She had a remarkably beautiful voice.

Just wish the video hadn't cut out.

  • Does Frida's voice break into crying at the end of the word; play; at: timeline - 2:06 - ?? I wouldn't be surprised since she is that emotional woman....

Adding just another nice factor to her character.

    ed

  • Timeless Music, you can not find something like this today. Only gaga-biebers

  • Brunette Frida was as beautiful as blonde Agnetha. They were both very good singers, each of them in their own way. That's all.

  • i get goosebumps listening to frida sing this

  • My dad likes Abba

  • The song gets a little slower after one minute or so. Is this due to youtube restrictions or was the drummer at the concert a little drunk?

  • What a great music...an what an idiot did the cut in the middle???

  • da best ang abba.....

  • bang galing ng abba.... bang gaganda pa..... da best......

  • wozu stellt ihr den mist hier rein wenns nicht in diesem land verfügbar ist?????

  • OK, I must have seen this a half a dozen times. but just surfing back I had to watch it again to the end. The song is so mesmerizingly powerful. It's a perfect song. Bjorns complicated supporting vocals intertwine in the song perfectly. Frida looks so amazingly strong in this song. Also I love her smile at the end at the audiences appreciation of her perfect vocals. Thanks for extending this. The song means a LOT to me.

  • Frida-licious

  • 3:21 Dr. House? :)

  • Frida....mamma quanto eri BELLA!!!

  • Frida one of the most pretty woman in the world.

  • :50 wow does the tempo lag...I wonder if it were not intentional

  • Where would Abba fans be without you, Shay!!! You contribute so much for so many of us!!!

  • wow.. never herad a full live version on this one.. was in wembly?

  • Incredible band!

  • One of the BEST Songs of ABBA

  • Why the Hell do they slow down so much at about 1:00? Is it the drummer's fault?

  • I agree, Frida gave ABBA a certain gravitas and sensuousness that the others did not have. She was , and still is, a very beautiful woman. Its also interesting that she was the only non Swede in the group.

  • Comment removed

  • I was 11 Years old as i heard ABBA for the first Time, now i am 46 and love to hear them for all the Time.

  • This song sounds amazing live! You did a great job extending it.

  • Love u Adida now and forever and Greta kinda looks like Ashara, please give her big huggs and kisses from me! and tell her not worry,it's all gonna work out for all of us!

  • Knowing u knowing me we dony even have too talk! The have to go part, is ancient history, love always ASG SMG, ABBA RULES! all things above and all things below

  • Love the vocals at several places examples 1:04 1:14 2:32

  • Remember that Michael B Tretow and Stickan Andersson, and especially the former, was a key to the ABBA sound. He is a genius with sound production and the ABBA sound was conceived through experimenting with different techniques.

But they did sound good, didn't they. Ways before the age of pitch-shifters and auto tuners that is standard today. Pure brilliance.

  • Wow AKG D330 mics. My favourite!

  • @kensmom33 @kensmom33 Both are beautiful in their own ways, but one cannot help comparing. Like you, I'd vote Frida but I remember in those days, when you'd have nothing else to argue about, how I was "admonished" for having bad taste. I guess it's in the eye of the beholder.

  • WAAAAAAHNSINN! AABBAA! Noch heute! Da möchte Mensch tanzen und fröhlich sein... und glücklich...einfach glücklich! WOW. Sprechen wir uns nochmal in 200 Jahren wieder...

  • GOD! THIS IS MUSIC!

  • their live performances were as good as stuido performances!!! great band

  • yea we do have bands that sound this good live today granted their also from the 70s too like night reanger bob seger silver bullet band billy joel

  • The thing I've always loved about ABBA is their "sparkling clean" sound, absolutely in tune not muddied. Many groups of today should take a lesson.

  • Never mind it's little bit slow..perhaps they just wanted to make it more relax...since they sing live.

  • Well never have great live performances like this anymore! Frida is SO amazing, her voice is fantastic! ABBA is the best! I love this performance, especially the ending! Thanks for another great one Shay!

  • Love y Abba!

  • Friiiiiida! Love you! \o/

  • gran grupo,preciosas voces,cuantos recuerdos...

  • It's nice, but a little slow

  • I love ABBA

  • THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC!!!!

  • Great job on the restoration! Thank you for posting.

  • sensacional siempre me gustara abba y sus variantes musicales

  • I like Frida's voice

  • Hmmm... actually I like ELP, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin etc. BUT they created such disarming melodies - cute greatness...

  • ABBA rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • a slow(er) version than the original

    nice though

  • these guys genius

  • Thank you Anni-Frid, and Thank you ABBA for the many years I have enjoyed your music.

  • SAD BUT GREAT

  • Amooo muitooo

  • When music was good!

  • Yes kids there was a time people could actually sing live----i agree Frida and Agnetha are very beautiful women---with voices to match:)

  • @knightblade05 So true, I remember growing up with this music, Just brings back good memories. Life was much simpler then.

  • Frida and Agnetha were the sexiest women alive. Today's 'divas' haven't got a clue. Thanks for the video!

  • @sawgrassraven

Oh today's divas know how to be slutty, skankin is serious business you know. But sexy? No they have no clue on that.

These women were real, hot without a tonne of makeup, and they had pubes that could choke a giraffe.

  • Very Good Video!

I love the video and I love the voice of Frida very much.

    Best wishes Natii

  • Very few were bättre efter Abba!

    Tack

  • @jwtgmt Think ur right... They r too good. Dont know what ur sayinf but i got a feeling... Abba are the best

  • this is very dodgy cause it keeps breakin up

  • Seems ok here , might be a slow connection

  • @123SadieRocks321 This song was the most difficult song to play live: at first: they had many left and right sounds put in the record so the tempo was faster (hear the studiorecording) but when they had to play this live on stage it had to be played one step slower just because of the less effects they could produce. so don't be bothered about bad conditions: in that time it was very common for abba (it wouldn't be nice anymore if there had to be what what you see now 8 synths more on stage!

  • I love this song :)

  • to właśnie jest muzyka... ;D

  • ♥♥♥ FRIDA ♥♥♥

  • got goosebumbs whenever I hear Frida singing this song

  • thanks for uploading this i saw thiem live

  • Glad you seen them live treasure those memories!

  • I always thought Frida was the hot one. And the best singer of the two.

  • Me too - don't know who sings best though!

  • What a wonderful Frida's humming at 2:06.

  • Oh I read 'too' much, it's a bit windy in Finland...sorry.. Always We&ABBA!!!

  • My, I was born in a good year. :0)

  • Thanks for post a wonderfull performance, i remember this song when i have 7 years old, and the remembers back to my memory, my family, my childhood my dear friends, you make me cry, THANKS A LOT!!!

  • Glad you like it and the nice comment !!

  • It's too bad, there is so little video of ABBA;s live performances and of what there is so much has been cut.

  • Agree entirely !!

  • Thanks for all your fine comments !!

  • I's me she's looking at in the front row at the 59 second mark :)

  • No it isnt. dont be silly it is me. mmmkay

  • awesome. thanks!

  • Very clever. I was disappointed that several songs were shortened in the 1979 concert. And what a tragedy that the entire concert was not recorded! It was this program that first got me really interested in ABBA. Yikes! That was 30 years ago.

  • Old is Gold!

  • wonderful

  • awsome stereo sound quality!!! thanks for upload!!

  • thanks for posting the complete version!

  • Glad to!

  • wow! this is so different from the regular version, did someone alter it or made a some mix of it? or is it how it was really playd live?

  • You have to understand live and in the studio.2 diff. things. And yes this is how it sounds live, they cant have all the instruments because they would have to call a whole ochestra to come there.

  • Thanks for your input !!

  • oK your welcome.

  • I HAVE SING IT IN ON KARAOKE....

  • My top favorite with ABBA...

  • Thanks for you input!

  • Congratulations !!!

But where did you get this recording !??!?!

    It´s really awesome ... Thnks !!

  • Thanks, part from the in concert DVD and partly from a bootleg

  • i agree, its an awesome vid. the sound quality is really .

it seems to me that they are singing slower than usual, slower than the recorded studio versions of this song. is that just me or has anybody else noticed that ?

  • Thanks, It is slower and I do like it, seems a bit more soulful!

Gotta thank 7ABBA7 (Shawn) for the great sound on this one

  • Shay? Great JOB! ty

  • Thanks, Shay it is

Good to see Elvis is still in the building!

  • I do think "Knowing me, knowing you" was the ultimate ABBA song, the best of their repertorie, a fantastic song, a legend in pop music.

  • Shay, just have to agree with the others; fantastic audio!! great you extended it, very nice work:)

  • The slide show is a bit blurry Elin but at least the sound is pretty good

  • The sound of the vid is so great!!

  • Thanks Suzanne

    Glad you like it

  • in the middle is it the recorded one or live one?

  • Its from the same live show Jack,

I just put it back together again to the orignal lenght

  • Nice job, Shay! I loved how they slowed it down just a tad for the live show.

  • The vocals had more impact slowed a bit here Sharon

'Watch out' for the Dick Cavett version coming soon

  • Nice work Shay, a complete performance, the way ABBA should work a DVD of live concerts spanning their career.

  • Im sure there is lots of good stuff in the vaults well worth releasing

  • This is one of my all time favorites Shay. And i love how you extended it with the slide show.

  • Thanks Jim Its up there in my favs too

Its a shame they did not put out the full version
